   Dr. Andrew Baker, chief medical examiner in Hennipen county since 2004, said “George Floyd had severe underlying heart disease and had an enlarged heart that needed more oxygen than normal to function, as well as a narrowing of his coronary arteries.
   Chauvin probably thought he could get away with it since he used excessive neck restraints at least three other times, once were he caused a drunk guy to lose consciousness.
   Chauvin exceeded police policy in both the length of time used of the restraint on Floyd as well as not turning him on his side to avoid positional asphyxiation, as was standard police policy. The department had recently paid out a 3 million settlement in 2010 over a case similar to Floyd’s were a guy died.
   If you don’t think their was a racial component to Chauvin’s actions, ask yourself why the officers held there position on Floyd for four minutes after he lost consciousness, and two minutes beyond when he had no pulse.
   Floyd stated 27 times he was having trouble breathing.

Ellison is 100% in on CRT and DEI and among the woke.
    It’s still hard to believe that “Hands up, don’t shoot” never happened after all the hype. That was Obama’s “Wingman” AG Eric Holder found and released in his report on a late Sunday afternoon.     The intent is supported by Chauvin using excessive force #1 on a handcuffed man on his stomach.
    #2 by disregarding police protocol and keeping him in a prone position while kneeling on his neck, despite the department paying a 3 million settlement for a dead man treated the same way
    #3 by continuing to kneel on his neck after unconscious.
    #4 by continuing to knell on his neck for two minutes after he had no pulse.
    The last two show the most intent.
    Floyd was not talking for the last 4-5 minutes.
    Compression of the neck was the primary cause, you can believe whatever you want. Look it up for yourself .

    I am still holding back my judgement on the new Union. I initially read it only for the Police Blotter, the paper’s most popular item for years. Still the number one reader fav? I dunno.
    Now that the new blood only carries the Police Blotter a couple times a week or less, then why continue paying for the fish wrapper? When the union went from 5 days a week from 6, I saw there was no Blotter on Mondays since Rogers and crew had the Sunday-Monday weekend off. But, even in Rogers last hours at the Union, he himself got the Police Blotter out, even had to do it himself when short handed.
    I got into the Opinion page and commenting on the columns and letters to the editor, but that is gone too.
    The Nobel gal seems to be writing over half of the articles herself, maybe more, and takes the editor along to take photos. Jennifer Nobel seems to take readers back to Our Town, USA where she grew up and her Grandma knitted her a sweater with every stitch knitted in love. Definitely more local business oriented. Nobel is a decent to good writer, something Don Rogers dreams off but never will become. Ok for writing copy, not the creative stuff. So, Jennifer is ok, but I do wonder how long she can continue to go back to Our Town USA where she grew up.
    Bottomline, I am debating dropping the Union. Don’t have much of an interest what is going on in GV or Nirvana City.
    Don’t listen to Psul. He is from your next of the woods and ain’t no local, as much as he claims Nirvana City is his hometown. I call BS! Psul is from the East Sac-West Placer County suburbs. What an total asshole and whole ass.
    Do remember when you arrived on the local scene hunting the FUE. That’s gone too, but it was free! A worthy mission.
