The only interest I had was correcting wild lefty narratives about 7 deaths that day directly attributed to the riot outside. one person died, an unarmed protestor.
   Did you read they just arrested Ashley’s Mom for demonstrating without a permit and blocking traffic outside the Capitol on the Jan 6 anniversity that was drowned out by the Speaker votes, another news item that I have read zero articles about, save one Powerline. Lots of headlines read Day Two, 11th Vote Fails, 14th Vote Thumbs Down, 15th and done. Just like NJan 6, failed to raise much interest with me. To each his own. Horned Helmet Man on mushrooms leads the biggest threat to our democracy since Woodrow Wilson. Spare me.

   Jan 6 was mostly a protest by people upset about what we now know to be true. The events leading up to the election and the news coverage was mostly bull shit propaganda orchestrated by the Dems and their stooges in the fed govt and in the news media. There was a violent riot by a small minority of people at the Capitol that was quickly ended by the killing of an unarmed woman who posed no threat to anyone. Americans can only wonder what kind of govt allows violent thugs to burn, loot and murder night after night in our nation’s cities while they then order an immediate armed use of deadly force when the elites of govt feel threatened. There was no insurrection or threat of the govt being overthrown.
   It is the govts actions leading up to, during and after Jan 6th that are troubling and are a threat to our Republic. Trump did not foment the violence. It had already started before he had even finished speaking. He told the crowd to “go in peace”. It was the Dems who openly encouraged violence all during the summer.

    We have to co-exist with fellow citizens that dream of a govt that will provide them everything they want for free. As long as the govt can come up with bread and circuses, these proles around us will vote for them.
    It seems to be the natural order for human nature. Our Republic was a noble experiment born at the right time when most of the people that had fled from Europe just wanted freedom and opportunity and expected a govt that would provide that and only that. We have become fat, dumb and happy.
    We have done exactly what our forefathers warned us about.
    Trading away our rights for supposed security and freebies.

    She lost the election due to her arrogance and ego.
    Her own people that she hired to help run the campaign said so. She is just an unlikable person, period.
    Also, the Dems badly miscalculated by pushing for Trump to be the R nominee. A typical squishy R candidate would probably have lost to Clinton.
    I will not vote for a Romney/Bush type of candidate.

    replace the trump administration on 1/6 with a Clinton or Biden administration, everything that happened on 1/6 being the same..

    People like you were whining about a kid shooting three folks in self defense (two died) in a riot… folks with prior crimes who shouldn’t have had a gun at all. That trial was in the open, with good news coverage and a jury, who found the shooter not guilty.
    Any male cop with training could have restrained Babbitt without shooting her in the neck.

    If you have a credible source for that actually happening I’d like to see it.
    We’ve probably never met, so it’s odd for you to assume you would know what I would think about the Rittenhouse shootings
    Although I believe he had no business being where he was, and likely lacked the experience to carry that gun, and would have supported him being disarmed, I think it was reasonable for him to think his gun would be used on himself if taken, thus justifying him using it in self defense.
    I categorize you as far right based on your defense of most if not all far right positions and opinions. If there are some you don’t support I haven’t seen them. Most of my viewpoints are left leaning, not a registered Democrat though.

    1) Jan 6:
    I never considered J-6 anymore than a half day event. I realize I am out of step with the narrative and the Institutional Political Media Entertainment Complex. Maybe because I do not have a TV or even screen in my humble abode. I will go as far to say it was a riot outside and a black eye on our nation….just like a school shooting but not as bad as the Oakland Earthquake. But, that’s all you lefties got (besides Orange Man bad) so carry the water everyday for the four years hence. What I did see was people milling around inside the Capitol Building, taking selfies, standing within the velvet rope barriers. Saw three guys sitting in the Senate Chambers, one at Mc Donnel’s desk and a guard came in and said, “Ok, guys, let’s go” and the three walked out per the officer’s command. Maybe it was six dudes. Good luck finding those first videos now. Outside was a different matter. 800 rowdy folks stormed the Basilica. One shot and it was over. Riot? Caught up in the recognized phenomenon of “mob mentality”? Sure.
    This past Jan 6 two year anniversary (2023) President Biden himself said “four police officers killed.” It was repeated on the media, by Homeland Security, State, DOJ. Four officers that were there that day never to serve again. Go kick gravel.

After the initial giggles about Hunter and his crack smoking escapades in Penthouses (different Penthouse every night with hookers), the real story is not as you put it. We all expect dope fiends with lots of cash and connections to act exactly like Hunter. We expect drunken sailors to act like drunken sailors and I once took my whole weeks wages to take a less out to a exclusive Russian restaurant just to impress her. That’s what people do. That’s what dope fiends do.
    I contend (speaking solely for myself) that the contents of Hunter’s laptop is not the focus of discussion right now or has it been for a spell….outside of Hunter’s walking on the wild side jokes. The focus and all serious discussions revolves around the Twitter Files showing our FBI corrupted by the corrupt DOJ lied about the validity of the laptop. So, the coverup of Hunter’s laptop which the FBI had in its possession since 2019.
    The second focus of the Hunter laptop investigations is the business deals, e-Mails, texts, photos, bank records of Hunter and Family’s business dealings that triggered 110 bank notifications alone. A bank is required to report suspicious activity or unusually large transactions….The Biden Corrupt Syndicate triggers 110 bank flares alone, with Hunter and Co doing business with the Russians, Chinese, Ukrainians, all over the globe. You can bet your bottom dollar that our intelligent agencies and Secret Service keep an eye on the VP’s family(Joe’s family in 2014 for example) and raised the possibility of blackmail of the VP via Hunters drug abuse with Russian ladies of the night or Chinese blackmail via shady off the books business deals.
    Nice try making the Laptop about naked pics of Hunter the dope fiend as you did making the Clinton impeachment about blow jobs in the Oval Office. That’s missing the forest from the trees.

    Classified documents from Biden’s time as vice president discovered at Penn Biden Center, White House says
    The president used the Penn Biden Center’s office space from mid-2017 until he began the 2020 campaign
    Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois John Lausch to review the matter, according to CBS News, who first reported on the documents’ discovery on Monday.
    Biden slammed former President Trump last year after FBI agents seized approximately 300 classified documents from his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida.
    “How that could possibly happen? How anyone could be that irresponsible? And I thought what data was int here that would maybe compromise sources and methods?” the president told 60 Minutes. “And it just — totally irresponsible.”
    The Department of Justice did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Monday.
