    You know, Joe Biden’s lawyers did the right thing by immediately contacting the National Archives to report Joe’s garage classified information. That is following the law. Agents (DOJ?) were sent over to read the docs. Why? Because it is against the Espionage Act among other statues to allow anyone without classified clearance to read classified docs. Apparently, Biden’s lawyers cleaning out his stuff do not have the security clearance.
    It is also against the law for anyone with the proper Security Clearance to allow a person without security clearance to handle, hold, read, or possess classified docs. I bring this up because Hillary had her girlfriend lawyers and advisors from the Clinton Foundation go through her thousands of e-mails, of which some were marked Classified. C at the top does not mean part c, lol. Hillary also sent Classified materials to her printer at her home office and instructed her Guatemalan maid via phone to put the papers that arrived on the printer on her home desk. Another violation of the law and of which would have made Hillary ineligible to hold public office. Glad to see Joe’s lawyers follow the law, even if no one else in the Dem circles do.

    Lol. Well, Biden did himself no favors by publicly confessing to the WH Press Corp (specifically Peter Doocy) that he had classified docs from his VP days locked in his residential garage with his Corvette. He already confessed!
    Oh, Biden will get the Hillary whitewash treatment and it will be just another nothing burger. What scares the shit out of Biden’s handlers and lawyers is the word ‘subpoena.’ If only Biden did not answer any questions on the matter. If only……:). Even Doocy followed up with, “What were you thinking!” Nevermind, never had one, never will.
    The silver linings have me amused.
    1) Andrew Weissmann even discussing ethics is absurd, if not hilarious
    2) Joe Biden had a think tank about foreign policy! Joe Biden, who has never been on the right side of foreign policy once in his entire career, has a foreign policy think tank, lol. I am easily amused.
    3) Joe and his ice cream cones. Mystery solved. Joe never gets brain freezes from eating cold ice cream like we all do or have on occasion in the past because it is impossible with Joe. Gotta have a brain to get brain freezes or ice cream headaches.

    Flaherty demanded, “We now renew our call for the University of Pennsylvania to disclose who in China gave all this money to the Biden Center?”
    What’s significant here is that once the Biden Center was established, the gifts accelerated and much of the money was anonymous as you pointed out, there was a single $14 million anonymous gift in 2018 from a source in China.
    The attention that this whole thing is getting now is a great relief to us because we focused on this issue in 2020. We tabulated the amounts of money from Chinese sources, and we filed a complaint with the Department of Education because universities are supposed to disclose any gift over $250,000. And the University of Pennsylvania did not do that.

    I think you are missing the point of Taibbi and the three other independent journalists’ mission. Musk’s mission.
    The task Elon has set forth is not to uncover disinformation flowing into Twitter under prior management. Nah, the task at hand is to show what they did with that information. Censoring, blocking whole topics, shadow banning, and why. Why, why, why?
    It appears the US Government had been pressuring Twitter to act as a de facto arm of government to censor free speech. Contracting the work out. One answer to the “why” question is for naked political purposes. The Party line.
    Yes, the FBI, DOJ, NSA, DoD, and the WH can say they never told them to block or shut down an account of individual. Not in those words. The tweets tell us what those words they used are. And, if accurate, what we have here is our government via its proxies is violating free speech. Those are legal questions to be resolved.
    Taibbi and the others when it’s their turn go through thousands upon thousands of e-Mails. Taibbi follows and gathers typical examples of the why and how decisions were made at the top and down the line. Internal discussions and thoughts. Taibbi cannot publish hundreds of good examples, so he picks a few ones that capture the entire essence of how they handled the company and requests from government agencies, especially the WH and, of course, the FCC.
    Bill Eeee, it’s not the misinformation entering Twitter, it the way the information. was handled once inside and it does appear that it heavy lopsided against one side of the aisle. Not a thumb on the scale, but a fist.
    As Meek said, isn’t it funny that all these conspiracy theories turn out to be true. And about all of the information little o moi puts out there is later proven to be true. Sometimes slowly, drop, drip, drip….and sometimes quickly. And always it’s a tree that fell in the forest that nobody on the Dark Side seemed to hear.
    Trump did it too!
    The Politicized and Weaponized Bureaucracy-Security State is on trail here, not Twitter. And FB really turned down the screws. Drip, drip, drip.

    It’s kind of a stretch to say that there was no disinformation to begin with, and Twitter and those who wanted to influence Twitter were just trying to stifle free press/ freedom of speech.
    Remember a thing called QAnon? Even Marjorie Taylor Green admitted that she had been duped by QAnon conspiracy theories.
    The question in my mind is did Twitter do a community service by trying to shut down QAnon disinformation?

    I have heard for years, maybe decades, that the government over-classifies documents in the extreme. It has been a problem with FOI requests for a long time.
    It is probable that docs Hillary, Trump, Biden, and who knows who else, had in there possession were not that important as far as national security.
    But what is wierd is why Trump was playing musical banker boxes with what he had and why he would not rush to hand them over.
