Well, it sounds like there were at least seven members committee. Kirk is the only one identified in the article you say the BOS is standing up to CABPRO? I am failing a connection to the BOS and CABPRO if Kirk was the on person on the committee with ties to CABPRO. I do not who is on the grand jury.

I try to always read the underlying demographics these polls use. Most like PEW and the “Q” polls weight heavy democrat. Like Field here in California. Rasmussen is the most accurate especially for even handedness.

The schools are out of order, and Meeks and Slade-Troutman went off the reservation to support Paul Haas to replace Superintendent Hermansen to try to fix it.
The local schools have been on a slide for years, hidden by the demographics… it’s hard to sell poor performance to mathematically challenged local journalists when test scores are above average for the state.
Compared to other English speaking populations of Euro-American students, Nevada County schools are doing horribly. But since local schools are practically devoid of “English language learners”, our test scores have been above Marin County which has a lot of ELL students that reduce their average. Our middle class white kids are doing POORLY compared to theirs, and others of the same demographic statewide, and it’s due to the schools in Nevada County, administrators and the teachers they have hired and retained.

Phew going to Italy? Good for him. He needs a change of scenery to recharge his batteries. Bet the highlight of his vacation will undoubtedly be when they doll him up with makeup, a new do, and dress him up like the diva he is. Then 6 strong men will carry him out onto the opera stage and have him belt out a few tunes. No vacation to Italy is complete until the fat lady sings.

July 6 was Universal Kiss Day. A kumbaya moment throughout the planet as people let bygones be bygones, peace erupted across the Middle East and the Syrian rebels played Yahtzee with the Syrian Army and trimmed each others’ beards. Even in Somalia, kissing broke out as in public and the Russian rebels drank massive amounts of vodka with the Ukrainian forces and cuddled up to bed time stories around the burn barrels. The Sunni’s even knelt down in prayer and smooching with the Shiites and said they were just joking over the last 60 days. This indeed was a Brother Ben moment.

As a matter of fact, Pelline excessively moderates his blog. Jeff forbids comments from those who disagree with him. I have made no less than five comments in the past week that Jeff has failed to post, because they respectfully contradict his ridiculousness. I dare Jeff Pelline to post a single comment that I made in the past two weeks that was disrespectful which he refused to post. He cannot do it…he simply does not like the truth messing up his lies. What a joke…and thankfully everybody knows it.

Without him you would all just sit around and take turns pissing on fire hydrants and sniffing each others butts. Of course, it does increase the hits on a website even if 95% of the posts are complete horse crap. Communication in the age of the world wide web, mostly bunk, rumor, fake science, and BS, much like the main stream media outlets. The anniversary addition of “Out Foxed” a documentary on the inaccurate and bias garbage Murdoch tries to put out as news is now available. Great watching for anyone who sincerely is interested in truth and not just their own truth.

Actually RR’s sandbox entries are intended to be a forum for discussions and comments on any topic. RR’s readers are people of widely varying and strong beliefs. They meet here to present analyses of the human condition and express opinions thereon that range from baseless emoting to well-formed arguments which defend and/or explicate their positions. I initiated the sandbox format in order to provide an expanded latitude from my topical posts. The idea (hope?) being that then the comment streams and their derivative threads under such topical posts would hew more closely the topic at hand. This is an evolving format and seems to be working well.
I have sometimes tried to ‘salt’ the discussion by offering one or two subject areas in the parenthetical intro to a sandbox. But as can be seen, readers have their own mind and often ignore my scribblings, in effect, telling me to buzz off because they have other things on their mind. And I’m quite content with that. So, do I moderate RR? Not really.
