    George, it looks like your attempt to throw Kamala into the trash-heap is being thwarted by the LA Times. Headline from today:
    “The latest poll from the UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies, co-sponsored by The (LA) Times, found that if Harris enters California’s crowded 2026 gubernatorial race, nearly half of voters would be very or somewhat likely to support her.”
    “Harris has a home in Brentwood and enjoyed a successful career in California politics for nearly two decades…”.
    I had to check my dictionary for the definition of “successful”. I did find that the “half of voters” meant the lower half, below the belly-button. Brains were not needed.
    My guess is she’ll be offered a seat on CNN or The View, and last 3 days at most. Even Joy Behar would fire her.

    scenes 11:40 – I watched about 10 minutes. They sorta’ kinda’ get a little of it but why didn’t they post a video talking about the same exact things they claim they “knew” back a few months ago? Because they didn’t until the election whupped them upside the head. Hindsight is a marvelous thing. And they’re still running with the “Trump is a bad man” but the voters dislike Harris more.
    The fact is Trump has an extremely strong voter base and they love him. Nobody even likes Harris at all. She already ran for POTUS and couldn’t do squat.
    Maybe if I could stomach them I’d watch the whole thing, but again – Ya shoulda been saying all this a long time ago – then maybe I could believe you.

    I was watching at a couple of levels.
    Since the interviewee is a dude, he’s naturally going to be a single issue voter. To his credit, he’s got skin in the game (so to speak), unlike the post-menopausal fishwives who get their systolic BP into the 200’s screeching about abortion law.
    Generally, I’d say that Orange Man Bad thinking is strongest in a coalition of the mentally ill and lifelong soft-skill bureaucrats. For the first time in their lives they achieved power, and then lost it (hopefully). It’s quite a show. If Trump frees us, at least for some time, from the grasp of fetishists, grifters, and the pathologically altruistic, he definitely deserves that slot on Mt Rushmore.

    I’m always hopeful – but I know that there’s way too many Rs still in office that are either part of the blob or the blob has dirt on them.
    Not to mention the vast bureaucracy that has its tentacles spread out from DC into Maryland and Virginia. Can you imagine a severe cutback in the number of fed employees? Just the drop in home values alone in the area would send shock waves out to the state govts and local businesses. And what do you think the racial makeup of the non-essentials will look like? I can already see the headlines:
    “Trump fed layoffs target women and minorities!!”
    and
    “Fed layoffs hit hardest at the poor and disadvantaged!!”
    If the Trump admin and the solons in congress can actually effect a serious needed reduction in the fed workforce – well – I’d stay away from large cities this summer.

    Kennedy running HHS will be a net gain for the Dems, especially if Trump lets him “run wild” and Trump follows through on his threat to cutoff federal funding to school districts that require vaccinations.
    In two years–four for sure–we’ll be experiencing waves of diseases we haven’t seen in decades, and every classroom in America will be a little cesspool of disease. We may even experience a return of polio, something only Afghanistan and Pakistan can claim now.
    The Arab countries are dominated by hardline Muslims who think western vaccinates are poisoning their residents. What will be our excuse?
