Well, the conservatives have written off CA, now they have pretty much written off colleges. Which came first, the chicken or the egg?
Trigger warning. Written by an unapologetic Christian young lady. I do admire the young lady’s courage to write this and pushing her religious beliefs aside, there is undoubtedly a bigger agenda going on. No surprise.
“They are also guilty of creating environments hostile to those who challenge their (often liberal) positions in front of the classroom and shun the person who disagrees with them instead of rebutting their arguments or encouraging a healthy discourse.
Some students either stand in solidarity with the left’s doctrines in the classroom or risk being cast out. Before the “prefrontal cortex” is developed in adults between the ages of 18 to 25, which is responsible for our impulsive decisions, they’re being taught to accept certain beliefs uncritically.
That’s the antithesis of critical thinking which college professors are ideally supposed to foster in their classrooms.
This is paralyzing for not only the student who wants to challenge groupthink but to the group standing in solidarity because, according to authors Jonathan Haidt and Greg Lukianoff who have studied campus culture extensively, “Solidarity can interfere with the group’s efforts to find the truth, and the search for truth can interfere with a group’s solidarity.”
And that is predatory.

As for the worst intersections in Nevada County, the top five are Brunswick and Greenhorn Roads, Combie Road and Higgins Road, Ridge Road and Rough and Ready Highway, Dog Bar Road and Cole Way, and Pleasant Valley Road at Commercial Avenue. Trivia: Can you name who. “X” is? I know you can. You might have even met him, or not. Gary Hart conncection. Indulge me with one guess…..or not.
“Residents told X they liked two seemingly opposite candidates: Bobby Kennedy and George Wallace. Kennedy was a liberal icon, preaching racial harmony, outreach to the poor, and ending the war. George Wallace, as observers have noted, shares much in common with Trump — inciting violence at his racially charged rallies, scapegoating distant elites and intellectuals, and reveling in being ostracized by respectable politicians.
“Even then, X was known for being disheveled. One memorable contemporary description compared him to “a figure out of Dostoyevsky, a large man hunched inside an unpressed wardrobe, a shambling gait, and a brambly, dark beard.” Another account said he was “just barely civilized — sloppy, rude, forgetful, tempestuous. It was as if he was raised by wolves.”
X saw that Perot’s success was not a unique situation but rather a sign of permanent social discontent now reshaping the traditional political system. He said that David Duke and Vermont’s Bernie Sanders — one the head of the KKK and the other a Jewish socialist, both with rising profiles in national politics — were “supping out of the same pot.”

How do you explain trump dropping 16 points in the Rasmussen Poll, your favorite, since Jan ’17. Also losing 40 seats in the house which is a reflection of weak public support.
Here are the Rasmussen poll numbers;
JAN ’17 +12
Today March 4 ’19 -4
That’s a 16 point swing. How does that represent someone who is “gaining huge support” ?
Here’s a link to validate my numbers:

Gosh and golly Todd. You say Trump “gaining support throughout America” Seems like things are falling apart for Trump. He can’t even count on his own party anymore.
“Rand Paul thinks at least 10 Republicans will vote against Trump’s ‘national emergency’
In a press conference Monday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) reiterated his opposition for President Donald Trump’s national emergency declaration saying that there is a crisis on the border.
More, however, Paul said that he knows of at least 10 fellow Republicans who are unwilling to support the president’s efforts. Thus far, four Republican Senators have said that they will not support Trump’s efforts, but it was previously unknown that there were as many as ten.
Democrats have already passed the bill in the House, and it is slated to be voted on in the Senate this week. Trump will likely veto the bill and it’s unclear if the Senate would be willing to hold a vote to override the veto.”

“California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom is hoping to pull National Guard troops away from the U.S.-Mexico border to help protect his state’s struggling marijuana industry.
Faced with competition from a robust black market, the legal cannabis industry in California has not experienced the growth that supporters had expected. Newsom — who enjoyed hundreds of thousands in campaign donations from the marijuana lobby — wants to aid the industry by redeploying at least 150 California National Guard troops from the U.S.-Mexico border and instead use them to combat illegal grows in Northern California.”

Ok, assuming you are the other jon joe smith, I will play pin the tail on the donkey with you. Can you put a name on ‘X’? More hints:
‘X’ was suddenly a national star at 21, attending classes at Harvard in the mornings and holding press conferences for national media in the afternoons. At one point, Harvard informed him that he wouldn’t graduate unless he passed the customary swimming test. And so, rather than return from the campaign trail, X swam in a California hotel pool and had his strokes judged by Theodore White, who was on the Harvard Board of Overseers, and Hunter S. Thompson”……..
-Biden’s campaign began well — until a New York Times reporter noted that Biden had stolen much of his speech from a British Labor politician. A reporter from the San Jose Mercury-News dug through Biden’s speeches from earlier that year and found that one contained phrases stolen verbatim from Bobby Kennedy’s, in 1968. The speech was written by ‘X’. Television networks showed the speech given by Biden and Kennedy on a split screen, to devastating effect.
-The ascension of Bill Clinton to the White House in 1992 meant he was shut out of Democratic circles — during the campaign for the party nomination, he had advised Clinton’s primary rival, Jerry Brown. And, not coincidentally, around the same time, he began his anti-Democrat shtick. “My friends are more corrupt than my enemies,” he said. Washington was “corrupt to the core,” destroyed by the “political, economic and media elite.”
‘X’ visited Trump Tower during the campaign and took a bag of Trump ties offered by the candidate. (“They’re $100 ties — what the fuck, why wouldn’t I?”)

The littlest commiecongress-critter has more problems –
Two political action committees founded by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s top aide funneled over $1 million in political donations into two of his own private companies, according to a complaint filed with the Federal Election Commission on Monday.
The cash transfers from the PACs — overseen by Saikat Chakrabarti, the freshman socialist Democrat’s chief of staff — run counter to her pledges to increase transparency and reduce the influence of “dark money” in politics.
Chakrabarti’s companies appear to have been set up for the sole purpose of obscuring how the political donations were used.
The arrangement skirted reporting requirements and may have violated the $5,000 limit on contributions from federal PACs to candidates, according to the complaint filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.
Campaign finance attorneys described the arrangement as “really weird” and an indication “there’s something amiss.” They said there was no way of telling where the political donations went — meaning they could have been pocketed or used by the company to pay for off-the-books campaign operations.
PACs are required to disclose how and when funds are spent, including for expenditures such as advertisements, fundraising emails, donations to candidates, and payments for events and to vendors.
The private companies to which Chakrabarti transferred the money from the PACs are not subject to these requirements.

OZZ…..guess again. BTW, a memo found by Gerry Ford said X,, on an institutional basis was one generation ahead of the other canidates.
In a 1979 memo, X warned with eerie prescience that if alienation continued, “America could yield to a man on horseback” — an authoritarian leader whom desperate citizens empower. Now the man on horseback has arrived, but instead of working to defeat the autocrat, X has saddled up to join him.
X said that the Democratic Party “has become no longer a party of principles, but has been hijacked by a confederacy of gangsters who need to take power by whatever means and whatever canards they can.”
Throughout the 2000s, X shed whatever Democratic connections he had left. He detested the 9/11 Commission, he hated the New York Times, and he reviled John Kerry’s presidential campaign, led by his former business partners, whom he described as “political crypto-gangsters who have taken over the heart and soul of the Democratic Party in Washington,” adding that “their job is [to] hold on to power and hold on to money.”
He argued that the media was executing “a coup d’état” against American democracy by ignoring Hillary Clinton’s email scandal. Polls were rigged, electing Clinton would turn America into a Third World country, and “globalism” was a serious threat to the nation. “Reporters are like cockroaches,” he even said, Still a registered Democrat, he voted for Bernie Sanders in the South Carolina primary. Though Sanders was a democratic socialist with a philosophy and record completely at odds with the crony-capitalist Trump, the Democratic Party establishment opposed him, and that was enough for ‘X’.
Obama was a “raging narcissist who ha[d] no grip on reality,” he said. Choked up with emotion and sitting beside Ann Coulter, he said the media was “a fundamental threat to American democracy and the enemies of the American people” for ignoring Hillary Clinton’s treachery in Benghazi. It is tough to keep X on track with any subject besides the perfidy of the media, the Democratic Party, and establishment Republicans. One day he phones me to say he’ll be able to meet with me the following week, and also that “no one wants to know anything” about how the country is being destroyed from within by the media.
The morning of the election, X virtually alone among pollsters, predicted a Trump victory. In an interview where he also concocted a fantasy of Clinton’s campaign engaging in widespread voter intimidation, he said that swing voters would turn out en masse for Trump. They did, and Trump should have thanked X for his assistance.
X had been blasting the polls showing Hillary ahead, saying they were wrong and pollsters were conspiring to elect her. X still had his mic on when Trump called him from his plane. X smiles as he tells the story. ●

To the dear readers. That is what you get when you put your kid in the microwave to speed dry it’s hair. (repeatedly… Apparently) It didn’t help that it was conceived(?)when drug experimentation was more than exceptionable.
One too many hits of LSD? Who knows.
But you wind up with a yapping buttplug in the end.

Ah – crony capitalism. It only works when you have a crooked govt.

Cause Amazon is special.
So much for equal treatment under the law. A company can’t make you do anything, but a govt can.

Plainly, Steele uncovered neither the Russian hacking of DNC emails, nor that Russia used WikiLeaks to publish them. Steele had no foreknowledge even though, right up until the moment the emails were published, he was leaning heavily on what he and Simpson portrayed as Steele’s well-connected Russian sources. By the time Steele discussed the hacked emails in one of his faux “intelligence reports,” days had already passed since the Clinton campaign and the DNC began publicly blaming the Kremlin. On July 24, for example, Clinton campaign manager Robby Mook related that “experts are telling us that Russian state actors broke into the DNC, stole these emails, [and are] releasing these emails for the purpose of helping Donald Trump.”
Steele did not discover anything. He simply echoed the narrative that the Clinton campaign was already spouting, folding it into a document that he stamped “intelligence report.” The subsequent investigation by U.S. intelligence agencies, which concluded that Russia was behind the hacking, does not corroborate Steele. He was just repeating what lots of people were saying.
