[Well boys and girls, let's gird our loins and prepare for the vibrant and vociferous aftermath of tonight's debate between them that's working to mount the bridge of the ship of state and holler out loud and clear, 'Haaard a'Pooort!!'  Polarized pundits predict that the lamestream CNN's moderator will just toss puffballs to Hillary.  While that may be so, it's hard to believe that Comrade Bernie the Socialist will not use the occasion to find a scuttle valve or two in Queen Hillary's assumption to the throne.  Not all will leave that hall with heads on their shoulders.  gjr]

Joseph D. Keeble is getting a modest pension from CalSTRS and PERS from his days at CSAC and Yuba CC, and has taught “communications” at Sierra College but apparently not for a couple of years.
He does fit “Joe Koyote” very well, I think we have a wiener.
To anyone actually reading RR for the first time, “Joe Koyote” is a long tolerated internet sock puppet who drops in on a regular basis for a little happy fun slander. I post under my real first name and virtually every regular knows (or think they know) my last name; the only reason I stopped including my last name is because of out and out slanders that would be posted here by the usual suspects in order to tar any online search of my name.

Some people here wonder how many Benghazi investigations are required to exonerate Team Hillary. I think the correct answer is when all of the obvious participants have been interrogated and tesitifed. The last eight kinda nibbled around the edges and did not speak to principals nor request/receive the telling documents.

A nice guy from the local Tea Party recognised me today. Now how he managed that is spectacular. He was out dropping off raffle tickets at one of the local gun shops, and as I was filling out some paperwork, says “Hay!! I know you, How have ya’ been Dirtmover?
Now how he identified me without my face hair and hardhat is a real head scratcher. Besides. I’ve gained a few pounds. Good thing he’s on our side. I haven’t seen him in a few years!
But the guy at the gun store may be a new reader here.

I wonder if these were the two “muslim friends” to whom jon regularly refers?

Two refugees aged 38 and 52 have been arrested on suspicion of attacking the cleaner over a period of 10 days.

He hadn’t mentioned that they were out of the country but still one wonders?

    Watching the wheels coming off….

“WELL, WHEN YOU CONSIDER THAT IT’S REALLY ABOUT POLITICS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR GRAFT, IT’S DELIVERED MORE THAN THAT:

ObamaCare Delivers, Just Not Very Much.
Obamacare has undoubtedly produced a large drop in the number of uninsured. But if the administration is correct, then that decline will be less than half of what was originally expected, both because of the underenrollment in exchange policies and because so many states didn’t expand their Medicaid programs. The program may be shaping up as a modest expansion of Medicaid, coupled with a more robust version of the old high-risk pools.
Obamacare’s architects can justifiably say that this is more than we had before. But it is less than anyone expected.
Oh, it’s not less than anyone expected.”
“But if the administration is correct, then that decline will be less than half of what was originally expected….
And at twice the price! Sounds like FascistCare is working out great….for the fascists…..and their corporate cheerleader enablers!

They say more laws are needed. Look at any police blotter? Yup,, all those laws against whatever they got busted for worked well. There are laws against drugs, yet they still abuse them, and deal them. AND caught with a gun! ( Yes, another law will fix that… right?)

As I have mentioned to them very recently when they (Steve, JoKe, FUE, etc.) claim to have public opinion on their side. Overwhelming public opinion should translate into votes and political power…..why stop at half measures why not lead a movement to ban firearms entirely!?

I am sure Jeff Ackerman would say, “Nothing to look at here.” Sure we had rabid pro-gun coverage, sure we propped up a Sheriff who publicly refused to follow federal law. Sure we supported a culture of second amendment uber alles. Sure we helped support a gun culture. But hey, we did not pull the trigger. We are not responsible for the actions of one nut. We are the victims.
It reminds me of a classic being replayed all across the country:

INSERT 60’S FEELGOODZ MUSIC FROM MINNESOTA MUD THROAT

And people are so brainwashed to believe 2nd amendment bullshit and that they need to be armed to protect themselves from the ‘gubmint and that Kenyan in the White House that they are going to rally around their guns.

Like, if ya’ll want to come over and do bad things to my formerly tight buttocks, you might think twice about the whole barrel of laughs if you say within yourselves “hey, that dude might have a gun.” Declined to State means that maybe or maybe not this dude has a firestick that goes boom boom, so you better think twice.
Conversely, whether one is a gun owner or not, only a Rocky Mountain Road Oyster would declare publicly that their abode is a gun free zone, so come on in 24/7. “Thursday, October 15, the new Constitutional/Permitless carry measure will officially become law in the state of Maine.
Sponsored by Senator Eric Brakey (R-Androscoggin), LD 652 will allow all residents of Maine who are not otherwise prohibited by law from possessing a firearm the right to carry concealed without obtaining a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). LD 652 will also leave the current carry permitting system intact for those who wish to participate in reciprocal concealed carry permit agreements when traveling to other states.”
Now THEY are truly following the letter of the 2ND Amendment.

Large share of grads from some high schools require remediation at Sacramento State — On his first day this summer as Sacramento State president, Robert Nelsen singled out an unnamed local high school for its abysmally high share of graduates who need to take remedial courses upon arriving on campus. It was a sign, he said, that the university needs to help certain high schools prepare their students. Diana Lambert in the Sacramento Bee — 10/17/15
    http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/education/article39555894.html
Nevada County High Schools were not on the list in the article, however it would be interesting to see how our schools stack up. Good schools have to be part of an effective economic development strategy. Skilled workers are not going to move their families to a community with poor schools.

The CA gun laws proposed by Mayor Galvin of Frisco propose background checks on all ammo. So, say you want to take the kids for a day of plunking on the range. Gotta have a background check for the bullets. Then, you want to go duck hunting on a hunter’s preserve. Another background check. Then, deer hunting requires another background check. Then, shooting more cans and water jugs on the fence posts and some skeet. Another…….boy, Newsome must think there are hundreds of police officers with nothing to do all day besides pushing pencils and upgrading their Facebook profiles. Meanwhile, the law enforcement officers will face discipline up to and including termination if they contact ICE if they apprehend another drunk driver illegal foreign national (again) who broke the law by breaking into our Soverign nation.

Quiet lately, and in particular, “Joe Koyote” has sure been under wraps… just couldn’t resist dumping on Rebane under your own name in The Union, Joe? Now, it’s your choice whether to keep the old sock with all the regulars knowing who you are, or spend time creating yet another sock persona.
Russ, expect NU grads to be lackluster on the CSU placement tests in general, and abysmal if they attended the worst performing elementary school in the area, the Yuba River Charter, the nation’s first publicly funded Waldorf school where the child will spend their first years pursuing magical thinking rather than math and language. YRCS, chartered by the Count Orifice of Education, somehow didn’t get its “Smarter Balance” Common Core test results in with virtually all other schools in the state but I have been assured by the California Dept. of Ed that it will be in the next batch any day now.
They were last on their last list of 100 Similar Schools under the STAR testing, after an even worse school (also Waldorf) was put out of its misery.
Expect graduates of the Grass Valley Charter, an “Expeditionary Learning” school that was doing Common Core-ish stuff before there was a Common Core; their Master Teacher Merry Byles-Daly was the constructivist math champion at Hennessey in the ’90’s, in charge of teacher training, the rollout of Mathland in ’95 and was in charge of reporting back to the Board how well it was doing… I went to most of the Board meetings at the time and the reports were ‘everyone loves it and the kids are all learning so much more math’, but then STAR testing started, half the kids were in the bottom quartile because, just as I was telling the board, the kids weren’t learning much at all.
When kids from a certain high school are doing poorly, the world comes down on them and not where the problems usually are… in their feeder schools. One exception may be Bear River High School which has some excellent feeder schools but for the last two decades has tended towards the same constructivist drivel that the Common Core is based upon so their kids do tend to lose ground; this is masked by the virtually lilly white English speaking kids with college educated parents who tend to be the norm.

“Please excuse the intrusion, but… are you speaking Swedish?”
That’s how I broke into a conversation between two lovely ladies in a local coffee shop, and yes, watching the extended version in Swedish (with English subtitles) of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo did leave me with a better ear for the language. The one a little younger than I was the daughter of the one older than I, and it was the daughter who was checking out Nevada County schools for their children as the daughter, her kids and husband were thinking of moving here.
Mom had already figured out that our schools in general sucked, doing well by California’s averages only because virtually all kids spoke English and parents were generally well education by state standards. I did point her towards the Pleasant Ridge K-8 schools as being first rate.
I’ve met parents who moved here because of the decent (by California averages) schools but only figured out after their kids were here for a couple of years that our schools as a whole do a below average job with above average kids.

Oh, Mr. Gregory, all our schools need are some PEP rallies to boost the enthusiasm for learning into the stratosphere. “Our school is Red Hot, your school ain’t Didly Squat” chants and cheers from the PomPom girls on the sides of the stage.
Oops, another PC no-no. That cheer was hurtful, makes the other school sad, thus offensive. And racist if you call yourself a Great American School or All American dis or dat.
Americans need to be educated concerning firearms.
