[Well boys and girls, let's gird our loins and prepare for the vibrant and vociferous aftermath of tonight's debate between them that's working to mount the bridge of the ship of state and holler out loud and clear, 'Haaard a'Pooort!!' Polarized pundits predict that the lamestream CNN's moderator will just toss puffballs to Hillary. While that may be so, it's hard to believe that Comrade Bernie the Socialist will not use the occasion to find a scuttle valve or two in Queen Hillary's assumption to the throne. Not all will leave that hall with heads on their shoulders. gjr]

Really Paul? I bring up an issue on the “untaxed” and it’s wasn’t ME squealing like a stuck pig.
Now it’s the LIBS and “LIB lites” that are giving a pass to people on taxes. Nope, not everyone is paying “their fair share”. There are more people NOT paying than ARE paying.
Obviously that’s slipped your mind.
On that note, Record tax revenue has come in, and it’s been pissed away just as fast.
We need to raise the debt limit again… Now ain’t that special?
Gov. gets Plenty of money. Their spending habits need to be controlled. (ya.. good luck with that.)
I guess all the new illegals will fix the income problems. Just think. KVMR could replace you with someone who will work cheaper, and KVMR will go munticulty with a bilingual program. Ya’ never know.. Your days may be numbered.LikeLike

Giggling at the TMZ segment on the socialists debate last night. Their focus was Hillary after the bathroom break. They had a bathroom break as short as it was? Oh wait, the average age of the top two was what 80?

Yep, Don, took Hillary a wee bit longer than her fellow socialists and gentleman callers to freshen up.
This is so sweet. Hillary Unchained, feeling lucky, and even got the endorsement of the Vegas Painter’s Union. Life is good…..until about 3 weeks from now.
Well, looks like the American populace is asking the same question we were adking. How in the heck will half that work pay for the other half, plus new illegals to boot? Ah, there is one answer. Always another way of looking at things. Let’s ask “the people”.
Here a kiss for Walt:

Finally, the debates started and the Democrat Party needed a lift and needed it badly. Just in time to boost their sagging spirits.
Like the idea of tweeting and commenting during the live event. Of course Bernie rescuing Mrs. Clinton and the entire Democrat Party was the buzz.
Wonder who had the most re-tweeted tweet of the entire lovefeast. Oh yeah, some guy named Trump took that honor.

“This may not be politically correct, but I think that there was a big part of this investigation that was designed to go after people and an individual, Hillary Clinton,” Rep. Richard Hanna (R-N.Y.) said on a morning radio show in upstate New York.
I may have to tape the Benghazi hearing this time Secretary Clinton testifies.
With Kevin McCarthy’s admission that the Benghazi committee was created to take down Secretary Clinton and former committee investigator Major Bradley Podliska’s allegation that he was fired because he refused to conduct a partisan probe, combined with Representative Hanna’s statement, the stage is set for Secretary Clinton to rip Trey Goudy and his star chamber apart at the friggin’ seams when she testifies.
Face it boys, the Republican cynical strategy has been exposed.LikeLike
-
steven frisch | 15 October 2015 at 06:11 AM
McCarthy never said that at all. You know what he said. The committee was created to get to the bottom of the murders. Because she was the Sec of State was consequential. Jeeze, now we get to see why there is so much disinformation floating around. We have McCarthys words on tape and you can’t even get that right.
Oh, and of course we always exect politicians of any strip not to be political when doing politics.
I have to admit Frisch, you libs would rather make a political point than solve the murders of four Americans by Hillary’s inaction to protect them. You are disgusting pile of shit.LikeLike

Boy, you boys are in fine form.
Steve, I believe the Benjazi investigation started off to get to the bottom of what happened to Ambassador Stevens (a long time Democrat who supported the Obama Administration to the max), and investigate security of our diplomatic corpse in the general.
I ain’t up on the details, but it is clear to me that Stevens was sent on a special mission the day he was murdered and dragged through the streets. Some say burned alive, some say raped as well, but unconfirmed.
I, for one, only have One burning question. Who gave the order to Stand Down?????
That’s it as far as those hellish long hours that early evening. That is all I want to know and it appears I will never, never, never know. Kinda like who hired that bar bouncer from the mid-west that miraculously went from being a bouncer straight to the basement of the White House pouring over FBI files on political opponents, aka, Repubican legislatures elected to national office. Our reps. Who hired that dude?? We will never know.
After the current committee/investigation found out via Cheryl Mills that the records they sought around the Benghazi time (records/copies of Ms. Mills and another staffer’s communications that night), the door was opened. Remember, they did not request Mrs. Clinton’s communications at that time. It was all the FOIA requests by media and open government groups and 2 Federal judges that opened the door wider.
Yes, all fingers point to Mrs. Bill Clinton, just as the FBI file thang in the basement of the White House did and where the Rose a law Firm’s records miraclously appeared. Excuse me for being a touch cynical.
Now, Mrs. Bill Clinton has evaded and skirted around compliance to State’s order to turn it all over and the FBI is seizing State Department computers. This may be bigger than Rodclam, but we will never know who told our boys ready to fight to the death in response Ambassador Steven’s desperate cries for help to …stand down.
Dissolve the committee as a political witch hunt, but remember that once the FBI is tearing into our government’s cyber security apparatus, they will not be deterred unless told to stand down by 1600 Pennyslvania Ave.
Steve, go tell the committee to Stand Down, but you won’t be able to tell the FBI to stand down. Snowden just called Mrs. Secretary.s private quasi secure servers “a hacker’s wet dream.” That Snowden dude speaks my language.LikeLike

If Clarence the Clown was the Secretary of State the panel would be after the truth. But alas it is Hill-Billy. So it appears Frisch could care less that a Nevada County native son is buried over here. And the three brave men with him elsewhere. Yep, Hillary said “stand down” and let them be murdered. Hmmm. I used to follow the annual NAACP’s members poll. For the members, the number one issue was better schools via school choice. This was awhile back, from the Clinton-Bush years. The leadership came out against school choice year after year. Just saying….LikeLike

The problem Todd is that the Benghazi attack and subsequent actions have already been investigated by 7 other Congressional Committee’s all controlled by Republicans, including the a 2 year investigation by the House Intelligence Committee, by a separate Accountability Review Board, and internally by the State Department. None of them found any evidence of wrongdoing by any party.LikeLike

So Todd, the House Intelligence Committee was full of beans? By the way the Republican Chairman of that committee is now Devin Nunes of California. The Accountability Review Board was full of it? None found that anyone had failed to do their duty under the law. By your logic how many times should we investigate something when it has already been investigated 8 times?LikeLike
-
Steve, follow the timeline. Of course they found nothing because they did not know about Rodham’s private server. All they found was months of missing communications and even State was unable to turn over communiques they did not have, all the investigations do was ask then Intel boss at CIA. Ok, who gave the order to stand down? It was like being married to Ted Bundy and no finding anything suspicious. Follow the time line

Posted by: Todd Juvinall | 15 October 2015 at 04:07 PM
Wow, Todd, I guess the order to ‘stand down’ would have gone out to the CIA team in Tripoli from an e-mail account as opposed to a secure CIA communications channel?
But the House Intelligence Committee looked at that, reviewed all of the communications with the CIA team in Tripoli, and between Tripoli and Benghazi, and no order to ‘stand down’ was ever sent.
Even Fox News reported it as such:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/11/21/no-stand-down-order-or-military-missteps-in-benghazi-attack-gop-controlled/
And the team leader confirmed:
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jun/27/lawmakers-no-stand-down-order-given-benghazi/
What is known is that the top CIA official in Tripoli held the team back while they tried to rally support on the ground in Benghazi, its right there in the report, but no stand down order came from Washington. If any message was sent it would have been relayed through secure channels and the HIC would have had access to that.
So you are in effect saying the House Intelligence Committee, who had copies of all communications, lied.
It is a crackpot, nonsense conspiracy theory.LikeLike
-
The “stand down” was of the troops within three hours. You need to get you facts right. Also, the CIA guys who survived were interviewed last year and corroborated it all. Men with obesity, the metabolic syndrome, and type 2 diabetes have low total and free testosterone and low sex hormone–binding globulin (SHBG). Conversely, the presence of low testosterone and/or SHBG predicts the development of metabolic syndrome and type 2 diabetes. Visceral adiposity present in men with low testosterone, the metabolic syndrome, and/or type 2 diabetes acts through proinflammatory factors. These inflammatory markers contribute to vascular endothelial dysfunction with adverse sequelae such as increased cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk and erectile dysfunction. This review focuses on the multidirectional impact of low testosterone associated with obesity and the metabolic syndrome and its effects on erectile dysfunction and CVD risk in men with type 2 diabetes. Whenever possible in this review, we will cite recent reports (after 2005) and meta-analyses.

After reading the recent and ongoing round of climate change columns and letters, I discovered that most of the so-called “climate deniers” are active in local Republican, Tea Party, and State of Jefferson politics.
Some of them also have blogs where they write essays about the issues of the day and host discussions on those issues. Of particular note are the blogs of George Rebane (rebaneruminations.typepad.com) and former county supervisor Todd Juvinall (sierradragonsbreathe.blogspot.com).

OCTOBER 14, 2015 WILLIAM S. LIND 8 COMMENTS
The United States is bombing in Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan, most recently a hospital in the latter. Russia is bombing in Syria. Saudi Arabia is bombing in Yemen. What do all these have in common? Futility.
Bombing is now what a state does when it wants to appear to be doing something, but would really rather not. It is governments’ easy out. A faction at court is whispering that our interests are being slighted in Karjackistan? The opposition in parliament is saying we are a “do-nothing” government? But, good sirs, we are doing something. We’re bombing!
Does this mean the people killed and maimed by the bombs, and the airmen who put themselves at risk, are doing so for nothing? Not at all. They are giving their lives to protect politicians’ backsides. What cause could be more noble?
There is a test to determine whether a government is serious or is just playing at war. Is the bombing integrated with actions of a capable ground force? In Iraq and Afghanistan, the answer is obvious.
An aside: The U.S. Army, which has patches for everything, including digging latrines, designed a patch for the troops now back in Iraq. Regrettably, just before it was issued, some spoilsport noticed it was a virtual duplicate of the symbol for the Muslim Brotherhood. May I suggest an alternative? How about an American soldier desperately trying to rally a mob of fleeing Iraqi or Afghan troops?
In some parts of northern Syria, our bombing, at least some of it, has been in support of an effective army, the Kurds. But the Kurds’ reach is geographically limited, and the Turks are now bombing them. Were we serious, we would tell the Turks to stop, or if necessary give the Kurds some air cover.
The Saudis and their Gulf State allies have put ground forces into Yemen, but they haven’t attempt much, probably because the Houthis can kick their butt. The main effect of their bombing has been the usual one, i.e., make all the locals come together against them. When people are bombed by aircraft immune to any response, they get motivated to strike back in other ways.
That brings us to the Russians in Syria. Diplomatically, Russia’s bombing campaign has given her a seat at the table. The fighters she has deployed are a warning to the Turks and others not to bomb Assad’s forces. But Moscow, unlike Washington, is run by realists. Realists know bombs alone do little to attain any serious objective. That suggests Russia will also send in ground troops the aircraft can support.
As she appears to be doing. At first, the Marines, airborne, and Spetznaz the Russians sent into Syria seemed to be for airfield defense. That is certainly part of their mission. But reports suggest they are now entering into the ground fight. Moscow also announced Russian “volunteers” would be heading for Syria. The word “volunteer” has never had quite the same meaning in Russia as it does elsewhere.
Not surprisingly, Moscow’s realism is beating Washington’s drole de guerre. Iran and Iraq (yes, the Iraq 5000 Americans died to create; thank you George W.) just signed an alliance with Moscow, leaving us out in the cold. Why? Because when Moscow says it will help, the help starts arriving next week. It does not come with absurd “human rights” conditions attached telling the Iraqi government not to employ its most effective forces, the Shiite militias. Russain weapons are simple enough for the locals to use and maintain. Maybe Russians can even provide trainers whose trainees fight instead of running. The Army’s National Training Center discovered long ago that Russian tactics are easier to teach and learn, and more effective, than American tactics.
The story in Washington and in European capitals is the same in everything: rule by an incompetent and disinterested elite that lives in Disneyland, can’t make things work, and isn’t serious about anything but remaining the elite. At some point, drole de guerre will yield to a bottom-up feu do joie.LikeLike
