[DOGE was an effective but short-lived effort to identify and recommend federal bureaucracies and programs that were wasteful, abusive, and/or fraudulent. While its dollar savings are in dispute, it did motivate the reduction of the federal workforce by about 300,000 employees. A good way to identify waste, fraud, and abuse in government is to motivate federal workers to report such practices since they are the daily ‘boots on the ground’ who witness/practice what’s not good. IBM had a program for years in which it gave employees sizeable bonuses for identifying bad processes and suggesting new/better ones. It saved the company millions, but required a dedicated accounting department to coordinate the overall program and assess the dollar worth of the suggested savings/benefits. Other companies have similarly rewarded programs for employees to identify inefficiencies. Could the feds do something similar? gjr]

The vast majority of Republicans, 95 percent, support requiring an individual to show a valid photo ID to vote, as do 73 percent of Democrats and 78 percent of independents.
The survey also asked respondents if they support or oppose requiring proof of citizenship to vote, and 79 percent across the board said they support that, while 21 percent oppose.

I looks like the whole global warming charade is really done –
Digger, Hollywood’s latest piece of pro-Global Warming, anti-Western civilization propaganda, opened worldwide to a brutal $28 million.
It’s one thing when we uncouth, simple-minded, unsophisticated, gun-loving, cheese-eating, Jesus-freak Americans reject a movie. But certainly the oh-so broad-minded, respectable progressive international audience will embrace a piece of auteur cinema that pretends Global Warming is real and shames Western Civilization for embracing the great gift of oil that fueled the Industrial Age, which, in turn, exponentially reduced world poverty
Certainly the foo foo Europeans will embrace this.
Of course the grossly exploited Third World will embrace this.
The world hates America. The movie hates America. We can’t lose, baby!
The movie, starring Tom Cruise as a powerful oil tycoon who has triggered an environmental disaster, made just $8 million in the US and $20 million globally in its opening weekend.

THE BEST IS YET TO COME! Grifter Guilfoyle learned on Trump’s knee the art of corruption.
• The $100,000 Request: According to reporting published in October 2026, Guilfoyle allegedly asked Republican donor and supporter Eric Deters to wire $100,000 directly to her American Express account ahead of her confirmation hearing.
• Quid Pro Quo Claims: The report states that Guilfoyle offered to help Deters with tax and legal issues and promised access to high-level Trump administration officials in return. Deters reportedly declined to pay the $100,000.
But Biden!!! LOL!!!

Again you’re not upset that Biden and “lil Bagman jr” did the same thing just that they weren’t nearly as good at it! How very progressive!

Poor RH – he really did just fall off the turnip truck.
Before Trump there was apparently no corruption – then suddenly corruption appeared like original sin from the Garden Of Eden.
Come to think of it – the TDS sufferers probably think Trump was the serpent!
Quid pro quo:
“Quid pro quo (Renaissance Latin: ‘something for something’[2]) is a Latin phrase used in English to mean an exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other; “a favor for a favor”. In American English it is a euphemism for financial crime.”
Yeah – she just learned it from Trump the other day.
Do try to get out more often, RH – you just might learn something.

Re RH 9oct26 – Readers might take note of how a progressive leftwinger assesses a legislature’s utility. He instinctively feels that the more laws (and resulting regulations) a legislature passes is intrinsically better. For the socialist ‘Government über alles!’ is always the desired watchword.

“Paxton’s Dubai Party Exposed
On New Year’s Eve 2024, Ken Paxton was in Dubai at a party. The Wall Street Journal has it all on video. Standing with him is Tracy Duhon, the woman his wife of 38 years named when she filed for divorce. And two men named Anosh Ahmed and Sameer Suhail. Both had been indicted in Illinois months earlier for embezzling 15 million dollars from a Chicago hospital where Ahmed was the chief financial officer. Both had left the country. Ahmed has since been indicted again in a 195 million dollar Covid fraud scheme.
Now, about Ahmed. He’s donated 190,000 dollars to Paxton over the years. One check for 25,000 dollars came in just days after he was indicted. He has business interests in Texas, the state where Paxton decides who gets investigated and who doesn’t. Both men are now back in the country and in custody.
And it’s not the only story this week. The Washington Post found Paxton’s office wrote legal opinions that benefited his biggest donors. The Texas Tribune found the chair of the Texas Tech board gave Paxton’s Senate committee 274,000 dollars on a Tuesday, and on Wednesday the attorney general’s office threatened the Big 12 with 200 million dollars in damages over a Texas Tech football player.
Paxton’s campaign didn’t address any of it.”
ROTFLMAO!!!
