fish 9:35 – I’m sure there will be all sorts of unofficial saber-rattling “leaks” from the White House to try to get Iran to come to their senses.
One thing that Trump said over and over while he ran was that he would not let Iran get nukes. Because Iran is run by Psycho-Muslims who care for nothing other than to make a big mess of us and Israel.
What most of us are hoping for is that Israel can degrade Iran’s capabilities in aerial warfare and proceed to wear down their oil and port facilities to the point that the people of Iran will have had enough and install some sort of western oriented govt such as existed when the Shah was in power.
Yes – I know – good luck with that. But it’s the best option right now.
We can all thank that naive well-meaning idiot peanut farmer for this mess.

Happy Juneteenth, everyone!
It commemmorates the day in 1865 that the Confederacy’s last stand in Texas was defeated and the slaves in Texas were told they were free.
Slaves owned in non-Confederate slave states, Kentucky and Delaware, had to wait for December 31 for the 13th amendment to become active, and there were slaves on a Navy ship under sail and those folks were freed in England.
Delaware waited until the very last minute. For shame, Delaware.

I think the “N” word is being used strictly as a scare tactic – and I could be wrong.
If we did pop a nuke on their underground facility, they would justify it as necessary to destroy the weapon of a “sworn enemy” of the US. I don’t think Israel would even be mentioned.
I keep hearing that a bunker buster wouldn’t do the trick but I’m not hearing anything about the capability of 3 or 4 in succession. Pretty sure that if we dropped one, Iran wouldn’t be able to stop us from augering right down as far as we want.
I’m a long ways from the action and the people that actually know what is really going on.
My only true knowledge is that Israel has decided there isn’t any more time to talk. And I trust their intel on the matter over anyone else’s right now.

Islam has been at it (conquering all non-believers) for such a long time, that the definition of ‘immediate’ may have to consider that 50 years may be immediate in some cases. Just 50 years ago, we didn’t have England under siege; or the U.S. starting to be under siege; or Muslim countries having a gazillion of our dollars for oil.
Islam will never accede to western democracy – that’s not in the Koran. How will things be here for us in 2075 AD?
