Of course you are aware that the Repubs controlled the House and Senate in Trumps first two years and the Senate in his last two. You are insinuating that I am ignorant about the Constitution yet you blame the legislature for
Trumps 7 Trillion deficit. Can you explain that?

Jimmy Carter spent years after his post presidency monitoring elections across the globe for election integrity. He and his blue ribbon commission concluded that mail in balloting was ripe with voter fraud and should not be used. Do not use mail-in voting to ensure the integrity of the ballots. The rates of fraud for mail in voting was double that of in-person voting and the potential of fraud was overwhelmingly higher than other types of voting. And Jimmy said he will never lie to us.
Around 2006, the nation’s then ‘Newspaper of Record’, aka the New York Times, ran a lengthy investigative piece decrying mail in voting for the same reasons President Carter stated; the high risk of voter fraud and unexceptional high fraud found in mail-in voter The former trusted bird cage liner was greatly opposed to mass mail in voting until they were for it, lol.
Nothing to see here people, move on. Trust us.

I can explain it punch! According to the late Wm F Buckley, Democrats are socialists, and Republicans are reluctant socialists.
Trump had a choice of either signing the legislation with taxing and spending power attached, or not signing. If he chose to not sign, he’d be the donkey everyone was chasing to pin the tail onto. So he signed. He had no choice… and the biggest hit was keeping the economy afloat when the SARs2 hit… you were amazing demanding the economy be shut down, gleeful that it was happening in time to derail the Trump economy which was humming.
Dems are much better at hanging together for the big paycheck. It’s about the power.
Strange that Biden was a record winner of raw presidential votes, but Dems are down to a margin of 8 in the House and Zero in the Senate.

I recall the government shutdown over the budget during those first two years. The longest shutdown in US history. It was all about Trump wanting 1.2 billion for the Wall. The lawsuits today from the wall building contractors will greatly exceed billions after Creepy Biden pulled the plug on construction. The resistance had their hair on fire about local federal employees starving to death and losing their homes after the first pay period.
I do recall the outcry from the Dems against Trump when Rand Paul blocked the budget because of the deficit spending. The Dem’s talking points spin was Trump was withholding heathcare benefits from the 9/11 first responders. The cry reached far above the heights of Everest.

PaulE – Your endless and faulty attribution of budgets and national debt to the Republican president in office at the time suggests to readers that you neither understand the make-up of the budget nor how its most recent version is cobbled together. Adding on to Gregory’s 1148am, you’d do yourself a favor if you let people know you understand what parts of the budget are set-in-stone entitlements, and what part of the remainder is made up of stuff necessary to maintain America as a sovereign nation-state with an acceptable quality of life. Your comments indicate that you believe the budget is always made up from scratch by a Republican president or a Republican congressional majority, and includes no legacy or mandatory discretional spending. Convince us otherwise, else you continue to sound like a junior high-schooler who flunked civics.

““I say to my Republican friends, take back your party. The country needs a big, strong Republican Party. And I say that as a leader in the Democratic Party,” Pelosi said.
Pelosi then went on to claim that the current Republican party is just an extreme right part full of “cult” personalities.
“Don’t have it be a cult of personality on the extreme, extreme, extreme right,” she said. “This isn’t about liberal or conservative, it’s about radical…uh…shall we say, they don’t believe in governance.”
Liberal extremists on Twitter were furious that Pelosi would say such a thing.

She values ‘reasonable’ Republicans as a way to tamp down lefties in her caucus,” far-leftist Emma Vigeland, who previously worked with the Young Turks, tweeted. “Without a GOP to work with, who would pump the brakes on meaningful progress that might cut into profits or wealthy pockets… including hers?””

Creepy grampa joes team has to silence him a little too often to deny any longer –
“Can I ask you a question?” Biden asked.
    “Of course,” Geissler responded.
“One of the things that I’ve been working on with some others is-” Biden said before being cut off mid-sentence.
This isn’t the first time the White House intervened in blocking Biden from being heard by the general public. Last month, the president’s audio feed was cut as he was about to respond to a reporter’s question on his administration’s military withdrawal deadline from Afghanistan.
In March, the White House cut the feed as Biden said he was “happy to take questions” while speaking to Democratic lawmakers at a virtual event.

The exposure of Fannie and Freddie was after they loaded up with sub-prime loans that they sold diced up with solid loans into securities that were unsalable after the credit dafault swaps went south.
The push towards letting everyone into the rising real estate market even with exceedingly sucky credit was a gift of the Clinton Administration.
