I was thinking about DonB’s 10:55 (school CRT kerfuffle) and spent a few quality minutes watching meetings of a similar type on youtube.
It’s funny how powerful a concept, in human society that is, the notion of a small activist group taking over an existing institution is. There’s just so many examples.
The Pew Charitable Trust (check out the founder sometime).
School boards.
Labor unions.
Hitler and Der Brownshirts (naturally. Godwin’s Law is a strong concept).
Probably even non-profit radio stations.
Activists within established churches (I’m not sure why a lot of modern Methodists even bother with the God/Jesus thing).
There must be a decent book on this whole concept. Any suggestions?
