[Jo Ann and I got our second doses of the Moderna C19 vaccine yesterday in Yuba City. Our overlords are contemplating having all kinds of new travel regulations that require proof of vaccination, or immunity, or studying critical race theory, or something similar. I wonder if we all will have to start carrying government issued copies of our shot and indoctrination records with us at all times as the next level of controlling our behavior and whereabouts. gjr]

As usual Walt doesn’t know what he’s talking about. This time he’s blaming Gavin for the closure and sale of Paulette’s. He doesn’t read and if he did he would have found out the truth by reading this article that appeared in the Union in Jan. Here’s quotes from the story
“After three decades in the business, Paulette Rickard, owner of Paulette’s Country Kitchen in Grass Valley, said she’s ready to move on.
“I felt like it’s time to enjoy my new grandson and travel and enjoy life. I’m alive right now and I really just feel like it’s time for the next chapter in my life.” said Rickard, who tested positive for COVID-19 and is still struggling with the symptoms.
“Right now there’s no way I’m capable of running a business right now. I don’t have the energy. I’m out of breath just sitting here talking to you,” she said.
Rickard said the process to sell the building began in September and is still ongoing, with escrow expected to close in the spring. However, it was only last Friday that she discovered the developer had plans to convert it into a Wendy’s.
On Tuesday the city’s Development Review Committee approved an application to allow the building at 875 Sutton Way to be converted into a Wendy’s.

From Bill’s post
“Although the bias against the Republican Party—not just controversial individuals—is rather shocking today, this is not new; it is a long-term, secular trend going back at least to the ’70s. (I do not mean to defend or criticize the behavior of any particular politician). Two of the three most influential papers (at least historically), The New York Times and The Washington Post, are virtually Democratic Party broadsheets. And the news section of The Wall Street Journal leans in the same direction. The orientation of these three papers is followed by The Associated Press and most large papers across the country (such as the Los Angeles Times, Miami Herald, and Boston Globe). Nearly all television—network and cable—is a Democratic Party trumpet. Even the government-supported National Public Radio follows along.
As has become apparent, Silicon Valley also has an enormous influence over the distribution of news. And it similarly filters news delivery in ways favorable to the Democratic Party. See Kaitlyn Tiffany, Twitter Goofed It, The Atlantic (2020) (“Within a few hours, Facebook announced that it would limit [a New York Post] story’s spread on its platform while its third-party fact-checkers somehow investigated the information. Soon after, Twitter took an even more dramatic stance: Without immediate public explanation, it completely banned users from posting the link to the story.”).”

PROJECT VERITAS VS. NEW YORK TIMES
“The New York Times is a disgrace to journalism. While current defamation law makes it almost impossible for a plaintiff who is a public figure to win–hence the impunity with which organizations like the Times feel free to lie about their political enemies–it will be interesting to see what facts emerge from this lawsuit.”
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2021/03/project-veritas-vs-new-york-times.php
It was revealing that when James O’Keefe’s Planned Parenthood sting in CA went to court prosecuted by Xavier Becerra, the evidence (witness testimony) by PP under oath showed that yes indeed PP was selling baby parts with a price list for various body parts. The videos were true, accurate, and not doctored. The truth came out exactly as Project Veritas claimed, but has been obscured by the CA prosecution’s charges of recording conversations without consent.
Interesting also that our local Patty Smith (who currently has a editorial column in The Union and is a very nice lady per numerous locals who have known her) when she posted here during the medical marijuana only days, said Barbara Boxer said it was all big doctored hoax and Ms. Smith believed Sen. Boxer 100% advthe ultimate authority on the issue of PP selling baby parts for profit. End of story.
Well, that was not the end of story as the 6 hours of non-doctored and unedited tapes were available on line and supported by PP’s own testimony (confession) under oath and under the laws of perjury while under oath. Nothing to see here. Sen. ‘Don’t Call Me Ma’am’ Boxer says it’s fakenews and that’s all that was needed. Conversation over. Contempt prior to investigation…again.
