Idaho looks like a good place for you Todd. You’re welcome here though as a relic of the old days when Republicans ran wild. We could even name a bench after you and you can give lectures to tourists. We really honor our historical relics here and you certainly qualify. You can even give tours where your trash development was planned in Glenbrook.

    Here’s more:
Colin Powell on Sunday became the latest notable Republican or former military leader to express concern about President Donald Trump, saying he’ll vote for Joe Biden in November instead.
The former secretary of State said that by threatening last week to use active-duty U.S. troops against protesters, Trump showed he has “drifted away” from the U.S. Constitution.
“He is now the candidate, and I’ll be voting for him,” Powell, perhaps the most prominent black Republican in the U.S., said of Biden on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
Powell, 83, was the top diplomat under Republican President George W. Bush and before that served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and as National Security Adviser.
He joins a number of prominent retired military officials as well as current and former lawmakers to criticize Trump, although not all have said they’ll vote for Biden. Powell has also said he didn’t vote for Trump in 2016.
Senator Mitt Romney of Utah, a long-term antagonist of Trump, has suggested he’ll write in his wife’s name in November. The New York Times reported that Cindy McCain, widow of Republican Senator John McCain, is likely to vote for Biden. Senator Lisa Murkowski of Alaska said last week’s she’s “struggling” to support Trump. And former President George W. Bush and his brother Jeb, a former Florida governor, are other possible Biden voters.

Probably the guy running the strings got tired.
Gotta love how Paul is bringing up the opinions of a bunch of beltway Republican bureaucrats, largely CFR members and folks who love to blow up brown people in the Middle East.
I expect there was a time when the crack KVMR news team wasn’t busy fellating neo-cons and GoogleCIAAmazonNSAFBI, but the orders came from on-high, timed along with the DNC national carnival, to get the word out. It’s funny how shallow those anti-corporate and anti-war roots really are, but I can’t say that I’m surprised.
To our local ‘progressives’ there’s no such thing as morality, just opportunity.

It’s pretty crazy, I can tell you.
Notice how all of that anti-war guff (which could be reasonable, I can see leaving Afghanistan completely alone after putting the fear of God into the Taliban and then leaving) ebbs and flows depending on which party (pro-business Republicans or pro-business/pro government worker Democrats) is in power.
Trump scales down all of this, pulls troops out of various places, intends to pull troops out of others…it doesn’t matter. Anti-war sentiment is pure BS, mainly a tool used for political reasons. It was all fake to begin with.
Paul gets my lack of respect not because he is unusual for his class, but because he represents the typical lack of integrity held by those people. It’s just that he’s handy and deserves the occasional rant.

Guess the Dems are celebrating Biden coming out with his rusty zipper up and he didn’t stumble and take a nose dive on camera. With expectations that low, with the bar set on inches above the ground, the Dems took one big collective sigh of relief. Fine speech, exactly the kind of stump speech Obama delivered when he was running in 2008. The big unifier. Coming together, make love not hate. Let’s join together. Come to the light, shun the darkness.
Now, after weeks of rehearsing the acceptance speech, the trick for Biden is to do a repeat performance on the campaign trail. Odds of that happening are approaching zero. Biden is fine, no need to debate Trump, and he might be ready to take unscripted improv hard questions from the media (chances of that are near zero as well), and no more talk about Biden’s mental capabilities (deficiencies).
All in all, it was a good night for Biden. Now, put him back in his vampire casket in the basement and let him out after midnight on a full moon when nobody can see him. “Biden is fine, trust me,” sez the legions of advisers on his payroll. Now, cart him out of here. Out of sight, out of mind, out of brain cells. Nothing to see here folks, look the other way.

I had to wait to stop laughing to post this…….

    Well, it’s official.
Former Vice President Joe Biden has now officially accepted the nomination of the democratic party to be President of the United States.
You would think that after months of preparation knowing that this would happen, I would be beyond the point where it bothers me. But at this moment in time, I’ve begun to realize my frustration doesn’t come from a place of simply being disappointed. Rather, it stems from the fact that democrats have opted to coalesce around a candidate that they did not even like.
This genuinely doesn’t even have to do with Bernie. Of course, there’s a part of me that will never, ever forget the fact that after the tens of thousands of text messages I sent, the money donated, and the time and effort I and millions of other people contributed in order to help organize the Sanders campaign, Barack Obama was waiting for just the right moment to destroy everything that we had built and worked so hard for. On top of it, we’re told to sit down, shut up, be gracious in our “defeat”, and turn that energy towards electing Biden. Of course, there’s a part of me that will never get over the fact that democrats worked harder to stop a campaign that just wanted everyone to have decent wages and healthcare than they ever have to stop Donald Trump or the republican party, and I genuinely have not been the same since I watched it happen. All that being said however, I can’t help wondering about the consequences of doing all this just to effectively anoint a man who they never even had any confidence in to begin with.
Let’s not forget that Barack Obama intervened on behalf of a man who he had not even wanted to run in the first place, and reportedly said his ability to “f*ck things up” should not be underestimated. At the start of the campaign, there was no one who was able to deny that over twenty candidates had decided to run because they genuinely did not believe that Joe Biden would be able to handle not only the rigors of a general election, but more important the position of the Presidency. While of course they weren’t wrong, far more concerning is the fact that he has absolutely nothing to offer the American people on top of it. Not even a public healthcare option in the middle of a global health pandemic.
It was just six months ago that Joe Biden’s campaign was dead in the water, and the corporate democratic establishment had all but written him off entirely. There’s not a shadow of a doubt in my mind that if the alternative hadn’t been Bernie Sanders at the top of the ticket we would not be in the position we’re in today, with a candidate who can barely even be trusted to appear in public.
I just can’t shake the feeling that bad things are coming in November.
If anyone can bungle what should be a landslide victory against a President who was more concerned about his own re-election prospects than he was about the fact that hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives due to his failures, it would be the modern democratic party. The American people are quite literally faced with a choice between Republicans and Republican-lite, and polls are already beginning to reflect a lack of enthusiasm about the options.
What Joe Biden’s supporters still fail to understand is that Bernie’s base does not owe them, or the Biden campaign anything. We put in the work for a movement we believed in, and now it’s their turn. They do not get to simply cry unity when they spent months comparing us to nazis, and are still ready and willing to blame the left if Biden does indeed lose. It’s past time for them to come to terms with the gravity of the situation, and the fact that their relentless, constant vote shaming they’ve once again readily adopted as a strategy is not working. The party has made its bed in selecting Biden, and now they will have to lie in it. If the situation is as dire as they insist it is, then it’s time for liberals to stop taking things for granted, pick up the phones, organize, and put in the effort.

Good call progressives……in two straight elections you’ve nominated the person most likely to be obliterated in the general by a former game show host!

TRIGGER WARNING FOR THE TDS SET –
In terms of the Democratic talent pool showcased at their convention, it was expert swimmers, the Obamas, surrounded by a bunch of people who still need water wings. Despite a satisfactory delivery, Biden’s acceptance speech was entirely written for people who already hate Trump and swoon over old reruns of “The West Wing.” Is that enough?
One thing I’ve been wondering about Biden: would he be as insufferably arrogant as the Obamas can be? During her anti-Trump broadside, Michelle Obama said: “Now, I understand that my message won’t be heard by some people. We live in a nation that is deeply divided, and I am a Black woman speaking at the Democratic convention.”
Translation: If you don’t agree with everything I say, you are either stupid or racist. This attitude, which President Obama exuded for eight years, was part of why Trump won in 2016. Biden would be better off to find some humility in the Oval Office, as there has been none since George W. Bush left office.
But had Biden thought about her recent history — a miserable presidential campaign that never made it to Iowa, was rife with infighting, and was put out of its misery by Tulsi Gabbard, of all people — he might have thought better of it.
Harris’s speech Wednesday night was a mess. Attempts by Democrats to spin it otherwise reminded me of Republicans always characterizing Trump’s latest debacle as four-dimensional chess. Sometimes things just stink.
That sound is your BS detector screaming.
Nonetheless, the Democrats march on, desperate for any drink of water as they wander a post-Obama political desert. They presented no platform in the past week beyond “not Trump, with a side of empathy,” although I think their convention, given the COVID-related challenges, as executed well enough. They are hoping you don’t think too hard about the Green New Deal, massive tax increases and a further government takeover of your health care.
Which ticket will America choose? Biden is winning, sure, but if you think Trump can’t find a way out of the wilderness, think again.

Trump will win any liars competition hands down Scott and when it comes to abusing women just ask the at least 25 women who have made official complaints about him.
    Here’s some details:
“Donald Trump has made 20,000 false or misleading claims while in office, according to the Washington Post, which identified a “tsunami of untruths” emanating from the Oval Office.
Top Mueller lawyer to publish insider account of Trump-Russia investigation

The paper’s Fact Checker column said Trump hit the milestone on 9 July, a day on which he delivered 62 such claims.”
    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/jul/13/donald-trump-20000-false-or-misleading-claims
And as far as women making claims of abuse there is this:
The 25 women who have accused Trump of sexual misconduct:
At least 25 women have accused President Donald Trump of sexual misconduct since the 1970s.
Renewed attention was brought to the allegations amid the #MeToo movement and a national conversation concerning sexual misconduct.
Trump has repeatedly denied the accusations, denouncing his accusers as “liars.”
In June 2019, columnist E. Jean Carroll accused President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her by forcing his penis inside her in a Bergdorf Goodman dressing room in the mid-1990s.
YOU can see all the allegations on this web site:

Its the same ol same ol from the socialist dems say their own –
On Friday’s “PBS NewsHour,” New York Times columnist David Brooks said that one thing the Democratic National Convention “did not do is go to the heart of this electorate, which is working-class voters in the Upper Midwest. It’s sort of mind-boggling to me.”
He continued, “What they did not do is go to the heart of this electorate, which is working-class voters in the Upper Midwest. It’s sort of mind-boggling to me. In 2016, Hillary Clinton made a colossal error by ignoring those voters in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan and such places. And if the Democrats lose those states again, the indictment — and a correct indictment — will be that they made the exact same mistake in 2020 as they made in 2016. And I think it’s just because they don’t have the vocabulary or the cultural knowledge to know how to talk to those voters. I just think there are not enough people in the Democratic Party who emerge from those communities and know what concerns them and know how to talk to them.”
Brooks also criticized Democrats for not mentioning China enough.
