    You know, the funny thing about white male, re-education camps is that the main side effect will be to turn a whole generation of white males into the thing they are accused of being. Prior to this whole religious movement, they were essentially oblivious to ethnicity (except for the unfortunates who end up in jail of course).

    So it appears that we may have a Constitutional crisis if Trump decides to challenge the election results and refuses to leave office. What are your thoughts about this? I am first to admit I am not a constitutional expert that some on this blog claim to be. This is a major issue.

    PaulE 209pm – Were Trump to contest the election, it would indeed become a constitutional crisis. But that’s why the Founders invented SCOTUS. It would be up to them to adjudicate the matter, declaring the winner, calling for a new election, or something else. However, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. The Dems have been contesting Trump’s election for almost four years now, and all they’ve been able to achieve is hobble the administration of a duly elected president and thereby harm the country along with setting a very destructive precedent for the future. But no constitutional crisis yet.

    PaulE 318pm – Silly me, I didn’t know you were “baiting” me. The two issues you’re confused about share the fact that both involve not accepting the results of a duly conducted election. Trump has yet to do that, save in the fevered brains of progressives, but the Dems already did deny the 2016 results. And they did that in sleazebag way by trumping up fabricated charges. But you are confusing the Clinton impeachment here, since that involved no one contesting Clinton’s election, but an impeachment on charges that Clinton admitted he was guilty of. The Senate was wise enough to acquit him and not kick him out of office which would not have caused a constitutional crisis, caprice?

    Trump has gained ground in recent days as Biden’s lead continues to shrink.     Don’t get too excited Todd about the Rasmussen Polls. I don’t even read the job approval polls much these days. these are the only numbers that are important-the delegate count based on state polling. RCP averages all the state polling and shows Biden up 212-115 with 211 tossups. Trump has to win around 75% of the tossups to get to 270. It’s been virtually unchanged for a Month so so far no Trump Bump. Here’s a link.
