WN: “Don’t show your face where we fly drones…”
Just wait until good quality bird-sized (or much smaller) drone weapons come online. I expect that the main design issue at this point is the weight and size of the power source. A security detail’s nightmare, although I’m not sure how they already deal with a Barrett rifle.

This is coming back to haunt Trump. It’s a direct quote from his tweet:

He followed up again before the election, which Obama won without launching a war with Iran.

No, Obama did not start a war to win in 2016. But he did cut and run with ISIS, the battle for Aleppo with our Syrian allies, and Yemen. He prematurely reduced troop strength to invite our enemies to build up and gain ground, to then have to repeat Bush2’s ‘surge’ in order to slow the ragheads’ gains. As I’ve noted before, Rebane Doctrine calls for Hegemon America to always maintain troops in various locations around the world that are critical to our national interests and maintain world order – it’s troop levels and locations that always require readjustments. And that’s ‘always’ like in perpetuity – that’s the cost of doing business as the global white hat. It is very hard to accomplish that with an anti-American political party that eschews defense spending and maintaining a wealth-generating economy.

Awww those poor mutha mullahs have no fallback –
But I do know something of how important Qassem Soleimani was, because he spent more time in the Arabic-speaking worldβpropping up Iranian allies from Iraq to Lebanon, and from Syria to Yemenβthan he did back home in Iran. From a military and diplomatic perspective, Soleimani was Iranβs David Petraeus and Stan McChrystal and Brett McGurk all rolled into one.
And thatβs now the problem Iran faces. I do not know of a single Iranian who was more indispensable to his governmentβs ambitions in the Middle East. From 2015 to 2017, when we were in the heat of the fighting against the Islamic State in both Syria and Iraq, I would watch Soleimani shuttle back and forth between Syria and Iraq. When the war to prop up Bashar al-Assad was going poorly, Soleimani would leave Iraq for Syria. And when Iranian-backed militias in Iraq began to struggle against the Islamic State, Soleimani would leave Syria for Iraq.

The year left populism died
From Syriza to Corbyn, the left has capitulated to the establishment.
βPopulism continued to shape European politics this year. During the European elections, right-wing populists topped the polls in France and Italy. In Britain, Brexit has transformed the political landscape, with the refashioned Tory Party becoming its primary beneficiary.
Meanwhile, left-wing populism has all but been snuffed out. This year, left-populist experiments have suffered a number of humiliating defeats, others have stagnated, and others have sold out to the political establishment, betraying everything they once claimed to believe in.β……
β-
βLeft populism, as seen in Mouffeβs work, was conceived of as an attempt to move beyond the discredited left-wing models of previous eras. But now left populism, in effectively siding with the elite against the populist moment, has itself become discredited.
Now all eyes are on the US, where Bernie Sanders is left populismβs last hope. But given that he is suffering from ill-health, and given his associations with βmillennial socialistβ idiots, his victory would be a long shot, even if he somehow won the Democratic nomination. Donβt bet against Trump in 2020.β

And I have to admit Walt, that I always park in the EV parking spaces at the Dollar General. I may be a law abiding citizen, but sometimes I realize I have much work to do. I just canβt resist those two parking spots. Bad deplorable, bad. At least I use turn indicators, turn my headlines on on rainy afternoons, and make complete stops at stop signs. A work in progress. Considering the prior statistic that only 25% of Americans know how to install a drywall anchor, the low number of monthly searches on that topic indicates that most are willing to call a repairman instead of fixing it themselves.
Those who grew up without the internet are clearly more comfortable fixing home problems themselves. On average, respondents over the age fo 45 are much more confident in their ability to perform repairs. Meanwhile, nearly half of respondents aged 18-24 admitted they canβt accomplish any of the aforementioned tasks.
If we examine gender differences more closely, 56% of female participants said they were unable to perform any of the listed tasks, while 44% of male respondents said the same. Even among each separate fix asked about in the survey, men reported at least a 15-20% higher knowledge base than women.
Constantly calling the local repair man can add up quickly as well. Researchers noted that U.S. homeowners spent an average of $10,000 on repairs in 2018.

The ad is a typical “vote” type ad asking people to cast a vote (in order to cast a vote, one must provide a valid email address from which you will receive more of the same propaganda.
The ad asks if people want to “impeach Adam Shiff”. Included is an obviously doctored photo of Shiff portraying him with darkened skin (as is obvious by the color of his ears being white.). One cannot vote without leaving an internet email address.
