[Interesting discussion from the last sandbox on Baltimore, shithole cities, and the misguided attack on Kushner and other investors in companies willing to provide housing in crime and drug infested ghettos. The simple-minded accuse such investors of being "slumlords" with the same logic that investors (like me) can be accused of causing the opioid epidemic by investing in pharma companies or killing women and children in the mid-east wars by investing in defense industries. The sad saga of C-lister Mario Lopez continues. He should have never apologized. Never. have blown over in a day. What kind of wack job thinks 3 year olds should make life decisions for themselves with an undeveloped brain?
“Sympathetic as I am to Lopez, who clearly came from a position of good faith, his apology is counterproductive. Children will benefit from a robust public debate in which both sides are adequately represented. They will not be helped by apologies that enable the machine to continue processing dissent into contrition.”

Mario Lopez Proves Yet Again That It Never Pays To Apologize To The Left-Wing Mob
“This is the harsh reality Mario Lopez has discovered this week. Lopez caved almost immediately after suffering blowback for making the objectively correct claim that three-year-olds shouldn’t be allowed to choose their own gender. He did specify three-year-olds, we should emphasize. It isn’t like he claimed that transgenderism is, in principle, a self-contradicting pseudo-science (which it is); rather, he asserted that toddlers probably aren’t in a good position to make these sorts of determinations about themselves. His statement was not only true, but was exceedingly modest, to boot. It was not an anti-transgenderism rant, despite how the media portrayed it. It was a polite and highly qualified observation about the psychological limitations of very young children.”

The US ‘Has the Most Mass Shootings’—and Other Bogus Gun Research
https://www.dailysignal.com/2019/02/20/the-us-has-the-most-mass-shootings-and-other-bogus-gun-research/?
Let’s see what the Sage of South Central has to say, aka, ‘the self loathing black man’.
Dear Black Trolls,
It’s WAY more fun to cry “white nationalism”–and exaggerate white anti-black racism–than to deal with black-on-black murders–a problem FAR more serious. And, while you’re at it, let’s name call, like juveniles, those who try to enlighten.
#ElPasoShooting
Dear @CoryBooker,
70% of black kids have no father in the home; 50% in many urban HSchools drop out; 25% of young black men have criminal records; #1 cause of preventable death for young black men is murder vs. accidents for young white men.
And your focus is “white supremacy”?
“Young black men, compared to young white men, are 7x more likely to be homicide victims, almost always by other young black men. Top cause of preventable death for young whites: accidents. Top cause of preventable death for young blacks: homicide. But let talk white supremacy.”

It makes perfect sense half/jigger. Most mass lunitic killers have turned out to be of YOUR political mind set.
So you want to blame Trump and the NRA. Good luck with that.
Were they there? Put the weapon in his hand? Gave him an I.M. to set him off? The NRA ship him the gun right from their storehouse?
Lets have it half/jigger.

GREAT!!!! A law was passed!!!
https://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/fcc-bans-robocalls-texts
“The Federal Communications Commission voted to approve laws that ban fraudulent text messages and international robocalls last week.
The new rules in effect neutralize loopholes in the Truth in Caller ID Act, which banned spoofing domestic calls but made it hard for the FCC to prosecute against perpetrators of scam text messages and international calls. Now, the FCC can monitor and penalize “bad actors” behind these types of schemes.”
Any bets the calls keep coming?
Yup, a law will stop it all….. Good luck with that.
Maybe jiggers can get a law passed outlawing mass shootings.
It would do just as much good.

In the past 48hrs, the USA horrifically lost 34 people to mass shootings.
On average, across any 48hrs, we also lose…
500 to Medical errors
300 to the Flu
250 to Suicide
200 to Car Accidents
40 to Homicide via Handgun

“Omar could have responded that we shouldn’t fear anyone based on race, ethnicity, or religion, and that each person should be judged according to his or her own merits — but instead, she took the opportunity to fear monger about the dreaded white man.
“According to the Department of Justice, white people (not just men) commit about 45% of the murders in the U.S. That seems high until you consider that white people are over 60% of the population. Whites are therefore underrepresented in the homicide department by about 15%. Blacks commit a little over 50% of the murders in America, despite accounting for only 13% of the total population. Those are the simple facts of the matter. Facts cannot be racist. Lies can be racist. Conclusions can also be racist. Ilhan Omar took a racist lie (that white men cause most of the deaths in America) and drew a racist conclusion (that we should therefore fear white men). It’s a racism double whammy, of sorts….
“…of the 85 violent extremist incidents that resulted in death since September 12, 2001, far-right politics violent extremist groups were responsible for 62 (73%) while radical Islamist violent extremists were responsible for 23 (27%). The total number of fatalities is 106 for far right violent extremists and 119 for radical Islamist violent extremists over the approximately 15-year period. However, 52% of the deaths attributable to radical Islamist violent extremists occurred in a single event — an attack on the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida in 2016.
“In order to make “far-right violent extremists” the deadliest, one has to compile his aggregate numbers beginning on September 12, 2001. That seems an oddly specific date. Why not start on January 1, 2001? How about January 1, 2000? Isn’t it easier and cleaner to look at the numbers over the past 20 years, since the beginning of the new century? Well, the reason for starting on September 12, 2001 is obvious — it excludes the deadliest terror attack in American history, which was carried out by Islamic extremists. In other words, if we arbitrarily ignore the 3,000 people radical Islamists killed in one day, then Muslim terrorists have recently killed fewer people than have right-wing extremists. This is a bit like tabulating the total number of people drowned in shipwrecks except for anyone who happened to drown on April 15, 1912.
If you want to know about shipwrecks, it seems the Titanic ought to be a prominent part of that analysis. Similarly, any analysis of terrorism in the United States must obviously include the most devastating terror attack this country has ever experienced. But here’s the kicker: Even if you did begin your tabulation on September 12, 2001, deaths by Islamic terrorism still dwarf all other categories because over 1,000 people have died from illnesses tied to 9/11 in the intervening years. Or do they also not count?

Bestees 9:41– the only problem with your, Neil deGrasse Tyson’s, and other spurious comparisons, like Chicago, is that mass shootings occur in one place at the same time not spread across the country or a city over a day or two. It is a weak comparison that only attempts to deflect from the real issues into how and why hate crimes occur. They are on the rise you know and most are white men killing people of color or of a non-christian religion. Is it a coincidence that this rise in white nationalist attacks has increased with trumps rhetoric of hate and mistrust toward people non-white non-christian people and the failure of politicians to enact or enforce reasonable gun laws?

The Wal-Mart Manifesto.
The American lifestyle affords our citizens an incredible quality of life. However, our lifestyle is
destroying the environment of our country. The decimation of the environment is creating a massive
burden for future generations. Corporations are heaing the destruction of our environment by
shamelessly over harvesting resources. This has been
a problem for decades. For example, this
phenomenon is brilliantly portrayed in the decades
old classic “The Lorax”. Water sheds around the
country, especially in agricultural areas, are being depleted. Fresh water is being polluted from farming
and oil drilling operations. Consumer culture is creating thousands of tons of unnecessary plastic waste
and electronic waste, and recycling to help slow this down is almost non-existent. Urban sprawl create
Is inefficient cities which unnecessarily destroys millions of acres of land. We even use god knows how
many trees worth of paper towels just wipe water of
off our hands. Everything I have seen and heard in my
short life has led me to believe that the average A
merican isn’t willing to change their lifestyle, even if
the changes only cause a slight inconvenience. The
government is unwilling to tackle these issues
beyond empty promises since they are owned by corporations. Corporations that also like immigration
because more people means a bigger market for their
products. I just want to say that I love the people
of this country, but god damn most of y’all are just too stubborn to change your lifestyle. So the next
logical step is to decrease the number of people in
America using resources. If we can get rid of enough
people, then our way of life can become more sustainable.

Well, Mr. Walt. Look at it from the Modern Progressive POV. They dodged a bullet. Blew Baltimore right off the front pages and took the heat off them. Progressives never cared about Baltimore or her citizens away. Just imagine we could have done with 16 billion from HUD in 2018 in community redevelopment grants and another 1.8 billion this year alone. Heck, Baltimore isn’t that big.. They don’t care about. Altimore or her black citizens.
Or think of it this way: Last week, the left denounced Trump for reaching a deal with Guatemala that declares the country a “safe” location for asylum seekers. Guatemala, they said, has too much crime and too many gangs to be considered safe; making people stay there is a human rights violation. And yet, Baltimore’s murder rate is double that of Guatemala. In almost any way a city can be a disaster, Baltimore qualifies. More than 22% of the city lives in poverty. Almost 65% of children grow up in single-parent households. The schools are a catastrophe. In 2017, one-third of Baltimore’s high schools had zero students proficient in math. That’s right. In 13 of Baltimore’s 39 high schools, not a single student — not one — was proficient in math. You’d think that would be a national scandal. Bernie Sanders visited Baltimore a few years ago, and to his credit, he was shocked: “Anyone who took the walk that we took around this neighborhood would not think you’re in a wealthy nation. You would think that you were in a Third World country.”
Looks like Bernie must be a white supremacist. Actually, he’s just an old-fashioned liberal. That’s how Democrats used to think; if they saw misery and urban decay, they wanted to fix it. Modern progressives are different. Progressivism isn’t about helping the people beneath you; it’s about establishing your moral superiority. Democrats support the status quo in Baltimore. It doesn’t bother them. That’s not surprising. They created modern Baltimore. The city hasn’t had a Republican mayor in more than 50 years. Things really began to fall apart after the 2015 riots. The Obama administration imposed a consent decree on the city’s police department that radically restricted its ability to protect citizens. Not surprisingly, crime exploded. Cummings, by the way, praised that consent decree. He’s very much part of the problem.”

Keep the heat on, Mr. Trump
“Last time I checked, leading a great metropolitan area, with a majority of citizens who are people of color, into death and despair and poverty is the racist attack on that city. Calling it out, demanding change and discussing how the people of that city deserve better, is the height of leadership.
“While some Democratic leaders insist it’s America’s 400 years of racism that’s responsible for the condition of inner cities, it is instead a systemic addiction to power and money that is ravaging Democratic-run metropolises and continues unabated because the Democratic Party doesn’t actually care about people’s lives, simply seeing them as fodder in their political wars.”

Do you know real racism is??? Real racism is seeing your fellow citizens in need and doing nothing to help.

Aha! Never let a good crisis go to waste. The plot thickens. Urgency! Urgency!
“How many more people have to DIE violent deaths at racist hands before impeaching the president for inciting white nationalist terrorism and violence is taken as seriously as impeaching him for obstructing justice? The real national emergency is Donald J. Trump’s terrorism,” Tribe tweeted on Sunday morning.
“I’m actually prepared to take executive action to put in place rules that improve this situation,” she told the Examiner. “I also have as part of my background and experience working on this issue, when I was attorney general [of California], and we put resources into allowing law enforcement to actually knock on the doors of people who were on two lists — a list where they had been found by a court to be a danger to themselves and others.”
She (Kamala) continued, “They were on a list where they were precluded and prohibited from owning a gun because of a conviction that prohibited that ownership. Those lists were combined and then we sent law enforcement out to take those guns, because, listen, we have to deal with this on all levels, but we have to do this with a sense of urgency.”

White Supremacy Terrorism advocated by Trump. Impeach the mo fro now and take the guns as well. Killing two birds that Leftinistas hate the most with one stone. Sweet. They are almost as big of shameless opportunists as Hillary and Bill. That’s a high bar to meet.

BT – 10:36 Yeah, let’s make a ‘list’. The trouble is – how many of these shooters had a previous conviction? Almost none. The Parkland FL shooter was someone they had ample evidence of being a danger, but the local Dem Sheriff just let him slide. Maybe the list will have to be ‘expanded’ a bit to include anyone who publicly points out facts embarrassing to the authorities?
Like the ‘no-fly’ list? Your name just suddenly appears on the list and God help you figure out why or how to get it off the list.
Was it Buttle or Tuttle?

Scotty can parse the manifest in the third person to establish his own meaning. It was a trifle more complex than Scotty would lead you to believe.
“Twitter blocked Lott’s Twitter account without explanation.” Bull crap: Here is Twitter’s explanation, you may not like the explanation but don’t pretend they didn’t give one:
“We don’t comment on individual accounts for privacy and security reasons, but for background, it’s against our policies to share content that glorifies violence on Twitter, including directly linking to that information. Additionally, we enforce the Twitter Rules impartially for all users, regardless of their background or political affiliation.””
Anders Breivik and Donald Trump were the shooter’s inspirations.
“The author cites Norwegian terrorist Anders Behring Breivik and others as an inspiration. He says he supports U.S. president Donald Trump as “a symbol of renewed white identity and common purpose”, but not as “a policy maker and leader””

Take away line:
“This is not to minimize the racist white-supremacist views expressed by either killer, but merely to merely they don’t neatly fit into a Right-–Left paradigm. But that’s not a message many people want to hear.”
‘They don’t neatly fit into a Right-Left paradigm.’ Bingo. Then, what are they? Non political new breed? What box to they fit in? Square pegs to put in round holes. A Green Preservationist? Green Segregationist? Mixed brew? Politics is downstream of culture?
Thought of this quote from an old forgotten article. Permanent social discontent now reshaping……David Duke and Bernie ‘supping out of the same pot.’
“ Caddell saw that Perot’s success was not a unique situation but rather a sign of permanent social discontent now reshaping the traditional political system. He said that David Duke and Vermont’s Bernie Sanders — one the head of the KKK and the other a Jewish socialist, both with rising profiles in national politics — were “supping out of the same pot.”

Yeah….this is about the only thing I agree with Frisch about on these matters….this is not a free speech issue. Of course it’s hypocritical….they very rarely jihadi cheerleaders…. but that’s their decision.
This for instance is just a lie; “Additionally, we enforce the Twitter Rules impartially for all users, regardless of their background or political affiliation.” it’s why people are developing alternative platforms to the “in the tank for progressivism” Twitter™.

This just surfaced:
“Three months before one of the deadliest public mass shootings in U.S. history, allegedly driven in part by white nationalism, President Trump asked a Florida audience how to stop migrants from crossing into the United States.
“How do you stop these people? You can’t, there’s —” Trump said, cutting himself off as a rally attendee yelled back, “Shoot them.”
Trump paused and smirked, before responding, “That’s only in the Panhandle can you get away with that statement.” The crowd cheered for nearly 10 seconds before Trump continued.”

from Jiggy – “Bull crap: Here is Twitter’s explanation, you may not like the explanation but don’t pretend they didn’t give one:”
I didn’t ‘pretend’ anything. At the time it was written, they hadn’t given one to my knowledge. After it went viral, they had to come up with a stupid lie.
Say – speaking of ‘pretending’ – here’s one from Jiggy:
“My travels take me hither and yon and unfortunately that includes the homophobic, right wing religious frothing at mouth Republican controlled Jacksonville that is in a state of ruin.”
We’re still waiting for proof about these frothing at the mouth folks in a city in ‘ruin’.
Looks like Jiggy is the one with bull crap.
No proof, just makes it up as he goes.
Waiting…

Paul 10:53 – it was a joke. I know you’ll claim it wasn’t but it was.
The shooter said he had his mind made up about the illegals before Trump was even pres. And there’s no evidence that the shooter even heard this remark.
The bottom line is that when a lefty Dem becomes pres, we’ll have even more of this type of violence. It started long before Trump and it will get worse because the underlying reasons for these nutters will still be there.

Punch you realize that somebody yelling something from the audience followed by a joke to diffuse the moment is going to change any minds on either side…..?
You do understand that…..don’t you?

You also understand that upwards of a million illegal immigrants a year pouring across the borders is causing stress in a certain “segment” of the population?

Not here, not yet. It is in many other so-called ‘free’ countries. How long before the US decides to ‘honor’ the other countries’ internet restrictions?
We’re hanging on by a thread to our Constitutional Rights. The situation is getting worse, not better.
