   Regarding taking the 5th…
   Years ago after a campaign against a state Proposition (it might have been one to ban handguns, I don’t recall), I got an official request to verify that I donated money. It told me how much had been reported coming from me.
   The demand letter made it clear that my response was entirely voluntary, but made under oath and so I would be under threat of perjury were I not completely honest and accurate.
   Hmmm. Well, I had nothing to hide but without digging out old bank records I’d not be sure of the amount I wrote the check for, and I couldn’t be absolutely sure that I only wrote one check. So I threw out the request.
   The sent another request, same as the first. I tossed that into the waste basket, too.
   It felt good.

    Toes: Never underestimate the Hawaiian ability to do everything slowly and wrong. After 4-1/2 years there, three in Molokai, I know the inhabitants extremely well and their ability to no do things is astounding and possibly limitless. As they often say when asked to do anything “No can.” Anything beyond a concrete slab is rocket science. To be fair, they’ve only quite recently (1770’s?) begun to emerge from the Stone Age.

    Why doesn’t he go start his own newspaper instead of harping on someone else how to run their own business? I thought Republicans were all about promoting businesses. I guess that’s true UNLESS it is a newspaper they don’t like, or marijuana sales (which are legal), or doctors who provide women’s reproductive services, or a Co-op full of hippies and organic food.
    A paper jointly run by Todd Juvinall and Jeff Pelline would be a hoot. Well rounded coverage (if you know what I mean).and Todd could specialize with his self described talents in the locker room, be the sports authority and judge of all things adolescent and manly. . . in a fatherly way, of course. He could be their priest. Get Boardman to be the copy editor to grind out all the spelling and grammatical errs. Instead of bothersome fact checking we could buy a random number generator to see which articles will run. I’ll buy the first edition., hell I’ll buy the first run.
    George could design the masthead with neolithic art teeming with eagles, and arrows, and star, and banners, maybe something dead, and scary faces without hair.

Impeachment Trump. High Crimes! A threat to our free press and Constitution!

    It’s a party going on at CPAC. Last night I was watching pod casts and videos from outside on the streets with the man on the streets. What a joyful happy lot. So uplifting, so positive, so optimistic, so down to earth. They were having too much fun. No limos, no red carpets, no flashing lightbulbs, all big smiles….alll in great spirits,…..they were having too much fun. I was injected with a big dose of positive vibes. Don’t listen to the news and the perpetually glum lot. See what is really happening out there where the rubber meets the road. A new pair of glasses is just what the doctor ordered. Happy feet.
    Goodness, if I had to.be around the Progressives everyday, I would contemplate suicide.

    ToddS 1126am – While I’m no fan of the Ugly Fat Kid, however, I would pose the question ‘What possibly would the UFK benefit from killing a virtual American nebbish visiting his country, and cause bad PR all over the world as a result??? Even the Chinese were pissed at him for that. We often give too much credit to totalitarian governments running like clockwork – they don’t, and their usual operational mode is SNAFU. So Trump accepted a very plausible answer from the UFK – I would put my own money on its verity.
