Coming full circle Part 1.
Representative Ilhan Omar has recently been forced by Nancy Pelosi and other Democrat Congresswomen to apoligize for her racist and anti-Semitic remarks. Today she found her voice again and characterizes all criticism of her as racism.
Coming full circle Part 2. When I was a kid, ‘moron’ jokes were the thing. Later came Pollock jokes, which were just recycled moron jokes with the word moron exchanged for the word Pollock. Then came the Blonde jokes about dumb blondes. Well, we have come full circle. We are back to Moron jokes.

New York audits Rush Limbaugh every year even though he left there in 1997. And he left because of high taxes. My guess is Cuomo is running out of other people’s money. And now that they are murdering babies, his monetary future is uncertain for the state at best.

Kamala Harris Got So High Smoking Weed in College She Thought She Was Listening To Snoop Dogg and Tupac.
In an interview yesterday with the radio show The Breakfast Club, Harris admitted to smoking weed in college (“I did inhale,” she said, laughing, “I just broke news!”) and that she listened to Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur while getting high. Here’s the problem: Harris graduated from Howard in 1986 and law school in 1989. Snoop Dogg, then known as Snoop Doggy Dogg, didn’t get started until 1992 and Tupac’s “career did not take off until the early 1990s when he debuted in Digital Underground’s ‘Same Song’ from the soundtrack to the 1991 film Nothing but Trouble.”
So either Harris was baked enough to time travel or she hit the bong after being in school. Not cool for a candidate whose slogan is “speaking truth, demanding justice.” Most likely, she’s just trying to curate a playlist that sends the right message. In this, she’s hardly alone.

My inner conspiracy theorist said from Day One that whole blackface non-story was just to distract from the horrid optics of the Far Far Left cheering wildly in NYC and Virginia the killing of newborn babies. It’s a line that had not been crossed up to that moment in our country’s history. Like the NGD, let’s not talk about it in polite company.

Throwing down the gauntlet: “Getting attention does not equal effective leadership. That is a reality that U.S. House Rep. Ilhan Omar urgently needs to grasp as she settles into her new role representing Minnesota’s Fifth Congressional District. … With an apology comes the expectation of change and personal growth. Omar’s two tweets from the past weekend made it clear that hasn’t happened. The flippant tone of one of her statements also underscores doubts about her judgment, particularly when this latest communications crisis could have been easily avoided.” —Star Tribune editorial
Race bait: “Republicans have prospered as a party that has appealed to fear for years. … The appeals to fear are always sort of the man behind the screen, or now the man in front of the screen, in Republican Party politics. So because we don’t have candidates that do that and we don’t have a recent party history of doing that, we will not produce anybody like Donald Trump from a crowded primary field.” —Sen. Sherrod Brown
Braying Jackass: “The reason that they [ICE] are already 8,000 [beds] over their budgeted amount — so they’re violating the budget — is because of the president’s zero-tolerance policy that has turned everyone, regardless of their record, into a criminal. For example, if you cross the border undocumented, [Trump] has now made you a criminal. If a person has a driving while under the influence violation, he is now making that, saying that’s criminal.” —Sen. Bob Menendez
Non Compos Mentis: “Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building. He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers.” —Sen. Ed Markey complaining that McConnell will actually hold a Senate vote on the Green New Deal
And last… “[The Green New Deal] sounds like a high-school term paper that got a low mark. It would shut down American energy. … It would shut down a little thing called air travel. How do you take a train to Europe?” —Donald Trump

CA versus NV
This is not something I have read or heard….just been thinking.
When the illegal alien up in the Carson City/Reno area murdered 4 elderly Americans, he was held in a Nevada jail. At the time of his arrest, his only crime at that time was perhaps suspicion of burglary. Perhaps being in possession of some stolen property of no great value. No gun was found, no hard evidence of murder. Just a suspect.
How lucky for all of us he was arrested in Nevada, not CA. First, in CA he would been OR’ed and released. Nothing to hold him on. Maybe a 24 hour hold, max. Not true for Nevada. They held him on an immigration hold. In CA, no criminal record, no real immigration hold, just a misdemeanor. No bail needed.
Imagine if Nevada was like CA and the suspected murderer was released. He might have gone straight to Truckee and murdered some more there. He might have made it to Nevada City or The Ridge. He might still be walking around free as bird.
Yes, it’s all speculations and “what if’s”, but thank goodness he was in a non-sacturary State when he did the heinous crimes. Thank our lucky stars.

Law enforcement officials said a similar decision by San Francisco officials in 2017 had endangered the public, and that the NYPD’s membership in the JTTF had helped foil numerous terrorists, including would-be Times Square bomber Faisal Shahzad.
Portland, a virulently left-wing city whose mayor has said he “can’t wait” to leave office, has had a rocky relationship with the JTTF. The city joined the partnership in the 1990s, left shortly after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, and signed back up in 2015

Closing a deduction is a tricky way for Trump to raise your taxes and still claim he didn’t raise your taxes. Tax prep fees, casualty and theft losses, IRA fees, many donations, moving expenses, etc., etc., etc, are no longer deductible however, maintenance and fees on your PRIVATE JET are now deductible. Now tell me the little guy didn’t just get hosed at the rich cats expense. Or maybe you have a private jet?
I thought this one was especially odious. Hire an attorney to sue on your behalf. When you win the judgement a prearranged fee goes directly to your lawyer – it is his income for being your lawyer – but YOU get to pay the income tax on his earnings. The fat cat lawyers are laughing all the way to the bank. Put that in your pipe and tell us again how Trump is fighting for the little guy.

Nothing new here, just another poll.

A new poll reveals that 53% of California residents are considering leaving the Golden State because of the high cost of living.
The “Trust Barometer” poll, by Edelman Intelligence, was conducted January 4-20 among 1,500 California residents, with a margin of error of 2.5%. A special oversample of 400 tech workers in the San Francisco Bay Area was also conducted, with a margin of error of 4.8%.
The results are sobering. Nearly two-thirds, 62%, of respondents said they believed the best days of California were in the past.

I was surprised that the standard deduction was raised to $12,000 for single filers. Child credit was also raised. That will help renters the most on the standard deduction and the child tax credit helps families. Don’t see how renters being capped at 10K for mortgage, property tax, and interest deductions will hurt, lol. Some always get helped, some always get pinched….from filing status to exemptions to deductions to source of income. AGI is the bottom line. Then there are those who file Schedule D, C, E, etc.
The IRS redoing the withholding tables who those who draw a stray paycheck seems to lead to confusion. Having less taxes withheld from your weekly or biweekly paycheck means smaller refunds at filing time.
I remember following the private plane repair deductions awhile back during the previous administration. It was pushed hard by the mechanics and machinist unions. I also remember the temporary cut of SSI witholdings Obama implemented during the Great
Recession. I opposed that because SSI is unsustainable (shaky ground) at current projections looking over the horizon . Knocking an employee’s FICA from 6% to 4% seemed shortsighted to moi. Sure, it resulted in a 2% bump in take home pay (average 6 bucks a weeek) but it was in reality a 33% FICA cut going into the SS Trust Fund. When that ended, people thought they got a tax hike, lol. Now
Now, folks got a smaller return but more taxhome pay and the media says Trump scewed the little guy. Insert lol here.

The border spending bill for the Department of Homeland Security offers “$192,700,000 for improved medical care, transportation, and consumables to better ensure the health and safety of migrants who are temporarily in U.S. Customs and Protection] custody,” according to a congressional Explanatory Statement of the provisions.
The spending includes funds to aid and feeds economic migrants as they journey across the border towards jobs in U.S. cities, as well as funds to bus the migrants from the border to pro-migration non-profits:
To facilitate these additional requirements, the conferees provide $192,700,000 above the request to include $128,000,000 for contract medical professionals, $40,200,000 for increased consumable commodities such as food, infant formula and diapers.
Border officials are also directed to bus migrants from reception centers directly to the welcome centers run by pro-migration aid groups:
Within the $114,147,000 increase above the fiscal year 2018 funding level for the Transportation and Removal Program, ICE is directed to provide for the transportation of migrants to such shelters based on where collaborating organizations have open sheltering capacity, including during surge periods. ICE shall immediately notify the Committees in advance of any decision to deny such transportation.
The flow of cheap workers to U.S. cities is a boon to business groups because it lowers their payroll costs and spikes their sales of food, autos, and housing to migrants. Government agencies also benefit from the inflow of more poor people — while ordinary Americans pay the price of reduced wages and raised housing costs.

“Americans carry $686 billion in credit card debt that is not paid in full each month. This estimate includes people paying interest, as well as those carrying a balance on a card with a 0% intro rate. We based the estimate on a CFPB study of credit card account data that found 29% of total credit card balances are paid off each month, implying 71% of credit card balances revolve each month. We applied the percentage to the Federal Reserve’s revolving credit balance data less $74 billion in non-credit card revolving debt to reach $686 billion in credit card balances carried over month to month.
43.8% of credit card accounts aren’t paid in full each month, according to the American Bankers Association. Those who don’t pay in full tend to have higher balances, which is why the percentage of balances not paid in full (71%) is higher than the percentage of accounts not paid in full (43.8%).
The average credit card balance is $6,348 for individuals with a credit card, according to Experian. This excludes store credit cards, which have an average balance of $1,841. Both figures include the statement balances of individuals who pay their balance in full each month.”
