Any idea of dumping Mueller will surely be tempered with this breaking news from Fox
The relentless attacks by President Trump and his lawyers on the investigation of special counsel Robert S. Mueller III could be losing potency, a new poll suggests.
A Fox News poll released this week found that 59 percent of registered voters approve of Mueller’s investigation into possible coordination between Russia and the Trump campaign in the 2016 election while 37 percent disapprove.
That is up from 48 percent approval in the same poll in July and slightly above the same level of support of 55 percent that the poll found in June.

Why are we getting involved? We are just checking it out. We have a trade agreements with southern African countries (and other countries in the region) with guarantees of protection of private property rights with our trading partners. If SA violates or changes those policies, our trade agreements are out the window. There is one reason to look into it.
Oh yeah, these trade agreements did not originate on Nov, 2016.
I recall in the 90’s checking out why the USA did not go into the full boycott of SA when the ANC and Nelson Madella were sounding the alarm and apartheid was still in place. Before Mandella was President. Everybody was calling for universities and corporations on the Forbes 500 and pensions across the land to disinvest from SA. My research at the time revealed that SA had a metal it produced that was classified a “strategic metal” (material) needed for production of certain defense systems. A national security issue, if you will. One of many many reasons the US did not embargo SA exports or disinvest.
I do think most people will tune out this whole thing out in a few days, if they haven’t done so already this morning.

Another example of Trumps character is the lack of any statement of support for John McCain why is in his last days. Lots of support for him and his family from both sides of the aisle but not a tweet or note from Trump. Correct me if I’m wrong about that but this is yet another example of the despicable character of our President.

PaulE 1242pm – Fair enough Paul. I do wish Trump would have recognized McCain’s decision to go quietly into that dark night. Maybe he will yet. Our grand-daughter who died of a GBM brain tumor (what McCain has) made that same decision as a 14-year-old after a clinical record-setting fight of nine years. Such a decision is a brave act that nevertheless tears up the surrounding family. At such times messages of recognition, sympathy, and support mean a lot to both the afflicted and family.

Hoping to put an end to the incident, Hutchinson went onto the porch with a 4-month-old child in his arms and told Hall and others to stop fighting, police said.
At one point, Hall nearly knocked Hutchinson out, police said. The baby slid from Hutchinson’s hands, but Hutchinson was able to grab the infant in time — saving the child before it hit the concrete porch, according to police.

Italian figures show a substantial rise in the number of crimes committed by foreigners, who now account for 31.9 percent of criminal suspects despite only making up eight percent of the general population.
The new figures, which were released by the Italian Interior Ministry this week, reveal that in the first six months of 2018 foreigners made up 31.9 percent of criminal suspects, up from 27.4 percent for the same period last year, Il Giornale reports.
Foreign suspects in specific crimes are also on the rise: For sexual offences, the number of foreign suspects has increased by 5.7 percent, for thefts by 5.1 percent, and for drug crimes 5.2 percent.

But, Merkle’s folly is not working out at all. One migrant boy washing up on the shores of Europeland, and the whole continent is now a turning into a cesspool. Everywhere the new waves of “foreigners” go, the place turns into a shithole. Every single place. Visiting the Eiffel Tower in the City of Love was once a pleasant experience and world wide vacationers’ dream. #1 tourist destination in the world. A continent that gave us the Age of Enlightenment. Western Civilization, and birth to things like the Declaration of Independence. Ever notice that Westerners do not flood into the countries that the “new arrivals” are from?
Remember all those good hearted generous people packing up the train stations across Europe holding up signs saying “Welcome Refugees” with baskets full of sandwiches and care packages to greet the flood of “foreigners” and shower them with love? All over Europe that was happening. Now, where are those greeting crowds from the Welcome Wagon today? Hmmm?
Merkle’s Folly is Europe has turned into something resembling a Third World Country with people running around crapping and pissing on the sidewalks like animals in the jungle. Merkle’s folly is she turned a nice continent into something resembling the Streets of San Francisco, a real shithole if there was ever one.

For some reason, you got me to watching youtube videos on all of the ‘gypsies’ that have moved to Paris. There’s always plenty of new clips on the matter, but of course no one will believe their lyin’ eyes.
It would be interesting to see if youtube is censored in Germany or France on the ‘gypsy’ invasion, I wouldn’t be surprised.
The question I always have is the matter of timing. Do the Europeans get medieval or do they get overrun? When? Demographics pressure makes one or the other a dead nuts certainty.

Sounds like some new trouble brewing in Syria –
The statements were in response to Bolton’s prior press conference on Wednesday from Jerusalem, where he was meeting with Israeli officials. “We now see plans for the Syrian regime to resume offensive military activities in Idlib province,” Bolton said. “We are obviously concerned about the possibility that Assad may use chemical weapons again.”
Bolton warned, “Just so there’s no confusion here, if the Syrian regime uses chemical weapons we will respond very strongly and they really ought to think about this a long time.”
Meanwhile Bloomberg confirmed late Friday that Bolton had personally delivered this message to his Russian counterpart Nikolai Patrushev:
U.S. officials say they have information Assad may be planning a chemical attack in the northwestern province of Idlib. At a Thursday meeting in Geneva, National Security Adviser John Bolton told his Russian counterpart, Nikolai Patrushev, that America is prepared to respond with greater military force than it has used against Assad’s regime in the past, according to the people, who asked not to be identified because the content of talks hasn’t been publicly disclosed.

It took courage to sit in the hells of Hanoi Hilton and refuse to leave unless your buddies could home with you..for five years. It took courage to stop the brain cancer treatments. And in-between there is one imagine and only one image that is forever burned in my mind.
John McCain, way down in the polls, broke, his campaign organization in tatters and abandoned, with not a snowball’s chance in hell, no media cameras, no throngs of supporters….there was John McCain walking with his small overnight bag in his hand through the terminals…alone, all by his lonesome without even an aide or acknowledgement from anybody ….walking with a trudging purpose to his walk to catch the a plane to fly off to the next small crowd campaign stop…and he won the Republican nomination for President a few months later. That was John McCain. Soldier on, sir.

If you want to read why most Americans have lost faith in the Justice system read the ICE article on Page A1 in the SACBEE today. Here is my email to the author of that screed.
SACBEE article Page A1. ICE. Do you not find it strange that lawyers and the Supreme Court Judge of California are anti-law? Does that not make you want to do deeper research into how people sworn to uphold the law can be so lawless? ICE is arresting bad people and getting them of the streets so they can’t prey on mostly their fellow people. But you have no interest in digging into that? How can a sitting Supreme of our state retain her job with that lawless attitude?
It seems to me you have fallen for the straw-man lefty argument that people will be afraid to speak to authorities if they see others taken by ICE in the courthouse. Could you provide the facts on that for us readers? Anyway, all this lawlessness must be addressed and these lawyers and judges should resign their positions if they can’t enforce the law as it is passed.
