[Here is the latest on the real 2016 collusion AND conspiracy with foreigners (British and Russians) that was designed, bought, and paid for by Hillary and the DNC to derail the Trump campaign.  Since there is no evidence of the obverse, why are not Hillary and the DNC being investigated?  gjr]

This makes too much sense to actually happen –
Trump’s seeking to end the “public charge” that mass legal immigration from mostly the poor and developing world would translate to an annual tax cut for American taxpayers.
Illegal and legal immigrant-headed households use nearly 60 percent more taxpayer-funded food stamps than households headed by native born Americans, a study conducted by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) revealed in 2016.
Harvard University economist George Borjas says the country’s decades of importation of more than 1.5 million legal immigrants every year is the world’s “largest anti-poverty program” that comes at the expense of American citizens who are forced to subsidize the cost.

Speculation time: Russia, Russia, Russia, British, Russia Russia Russia CIA.
Re: Dr. Rebane’s link in sandbox heading.
Moving beyond Bruce Ohr and getting back to the beginning, there is one mystery man who has disappeared off the face of the earth since his Feb, 27, 2017 interview with the FBI here in the USA…..the mystery Maltese professor Joseph Mifsud. The man who told George Papadopoulos the Russians had “dirt” on Hillary. April, 2016 That’s dirt, not e-mails and predates the Wikileaks release. Here is a link or Goggle the “mystery missing Maltese professor” yourself and there are plenty to choose from. You can even skip this background and go on to the 3nd link below if you want to jump ahead.
    http://theshiftnews.com/2018/03/01/mystery-maltese-professor-investigated-by-fbi-still missing/
What did Mifsud tell the FBI? He clearly isn’t the “source” referenced in the Washington Post article because he is not a U.S. citizen. But is he a source? Did he use Papadopoulos as a pawn to set up Trump? Did he feed Papadopoulos information about Russia to see how the Trump campaign responded?
    http://thefederalist.com/2018/05/15/maltese-professor-may-hold-key-fbi-really-began-surveiling-trump/
——On the last renewal of the heavily redacted FISA request, there is a footnote indicating a protected value source, which means said source is exempt from FOIA discovery. More here starting with “Let’s Review the Carter Page FISA Applications to See…” near the bottom:
    https://thefederalist.com/2018/08/02/inspect-fisa-applications-closely-mysteries-arise-joseph-mifsud/
Ok, this is just me playing Who Dunnit.. It keeps going back to the British and our government (prior Administration, State, FBI, CIA.)
Suppose the Maltese Professor is an Western agent, not an agent working for a foreign government. Suppose he had a previous relationship with the CIA, Brennan’s CIA in years past. Suppose Brennan used this protected value source to start the ball rolling. Suppose the good professor is a CIA agent/source which would indeed qualify him being blocked from any FOIA discovery.
Now, suppose our Dems/government feed the narrative, via informant/sources to Trump Campaign suragates to work it’s way back to Trump Towers to make it appear that Russian contacts with the Trump Campaign were coming from the Trump Campaign. Not Russia-Trump collusion, but US ➡️to US Assets with Russian connections ➡️to the Trump Campaign. That means the CIA Director used agents/informants to plant stories so they could investigate the Russian Collusion narrative they initiated and pin it on Trump. If so, it was a set up the whole time (US Gov’t or Hillary Campaign) with Brennan exceeding his intelligence gathering only authority by participating in a criminal investigation he facilitated.

Hmmmm… the last day to file for the NJUHSD Board of Trustees position for Area #1 is tomorrow… this is Linda Campbell’s seat. She hasn’t filed and, assuming The Union isn’t derelict in their duty to report the news, no one else has, either. I’d guess Campbell may squeak under the wire and file tomorrow for a second term.
Unless someone else does, someone without a checkered past. I live in Area #1 but am not interested in the post.

The Daily Kos ignored Obama Administration scandals… one of the reasons for no indictments and no convictions during the last administration.
Imagine what would happen were a former GOP President confer with an AG about a presumably active investigation of their spouse, on the AG’s government paid jet, and the conferring was said to be about grandkids and golf (the latter not played by the AG). Or if a GOP mid level functionary weaponized the IRS against Dem applications for tax exempt status, delaying some applications by YEARS.
No indictments does not mean no indictable actions.

“Cool. So KVMR can now do without federal funds?”
The whole rap against federal funding for public radio is BS. Republicans started cutting funds decades ago and now federal funding for NPR only amounts to 2% of the necessary revenue. Other than that measly figure, public radio generates its own. money through donations and fund raisers. Just another self-serving right wing anti-government myth, like voter fraud.
“No indictments does not mean no indictable actions.” does this hold true for trump and company also?

“NPR only amounts to 2% of the necessary revenue. ”
KVMR is not the same thing as NPR. Looking at their income statement, .gov money seems to be about 15%. No doubt a big chunk (nearly all?) of the rest is from people and organizations that want a particular POV broadcast. Given what a wasteland radio has become, they are welcome to run Amy Goodman and amateur DJ hobby music 24/7. It’s better than transmitting classic rock off of a disk drive.
No doubt, if government money was insignificant, a media outlet should probably drop it in order to avoid any appearance of government control. Of course, no one will.

How is fauxcahantas going to spin this for 2020, not even the lamesteram buy her BS anymore –
Democrat Sharice Davids, a member of the Ho-Chunk Nation, won her House primary race Tuesday in Kansas, prompting the Kansas City Star and others to report that she would be “the first Native American woman elected to Congress” if she prevails in November.
The same has been said of Deb Haaland, a member of the Pueblo of Laguna, who captured in June the Democratic nomination for the New Mexico congressional seat being vacated by Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham, who’s running for governor.
Not mentioned in the post-primary news coverage was the senior senator from Massachusetts, an omission not lost on social media, where references to her dubious claims of Cherokee ancestry are flying thick and fast.

“do you also oppose the millions of dollars distributed to the La Malta(sic) family from farm subsidies”
Sure, I can’t see the point of farm subsidies at this point, especially now that so many farms are large agri-business. It’s solving a problem that doesn’t much exist anymore, although I don’t doubt that the ins and outs of the law are more complex than the KVMR crack news team might think. Most of the people that argue about this kind of thing probably don’t know much about it really.
If the whole point is to stabilize prices, they are welcome to buy insurance or some kind of futures contract.
The same goes for mining, a not dissimilar problem.

Punchy, we’ve had this discussion before… the answer is no, the “La Malta” (sic) family farms shouldn’t be getting subsidies, and neither should any of the other farmers raising crops that FDR’s New Deal put under government control and have since been made sacrosanct.
In the meantime, the LaMalfa family (it isn’t just the congresscritter) should get every penny coming to them. They’re playing by the rules all the other rice farmers are also playing under. Not to mention corn, wheat, dairy…

    O’Shitnozzle fixed nothing!
Meanwhile, the federal government continues to engage in incredibly reckless financial behavior. When Barack Obama was elected, we were 10 trillion dollars in debt, and now we are 21 trillion dollars in debt.
What that means is that we have been adding more than a trillion dollars to the national debt per year since 2008, and we continue to steal more than 100 million dollars every single hour of every single day from future generations of Americans.

I don’t much care one way or the other. If Congressmen recused themselves on anything they had a financial interest in, no one would vote on tax law, banking law, securities law, etc.
Should a farmer (or Walmart stock owning) congressman be able to vote on food stamp rules?
Should a congressman be able to vote on a bill that puts money in their district?
Should a Jewish congressman be able to vote on sending some money to Israel? An Arab congressman to Egypt?
    What are the limits?
