Wrong ya po’ ol’ fakenewsman @142! Ronan Farrow did the story as an NBC investigator and the network was too afraid to touch it and let him peddle it to others and it ended up at the New Yorker. Which makes more money for NBC, the news or the entertainment divisions?

And Now For Something Completely Different… We saw the new Bladerunner movie last night. Engrossing start to finish… all 2:45 of it. The pacing was generally slow but not plodding, I never once regretted turning my phone completely off, wanting to know who much longer it would go on… it was more that then the end was at hand it was “I would have thought it was only half over”.
If I have a complaint it would be that they didn’t have Phillip K. Dick to write a sequel… it didn’t have Dick’s signature ambiguities of plot and characters to play with your head making sense of it.
Nice to see Harrison Ford and even Edward James Olmos back in their characters. Sean Young, too… with CGI helping her to be 22 and be Rachael a’gin.

Paul, there are a number of sites that I generally avoid… infowars for example. There’s just too much BS. But, if someone links to it, I’ll often click to see what the person was thinking when they copied the link. If it’s bull, I can generally pick it apart easily. But sometimes, like a stuck analog clock, he can actually be correct on something… and if so, I can generally find a link that doesn’t point to infowars.
What you are doing is the same as the musician I mentioned who only read his church’s evangelical pieces regarding Terry Schiavo. He wanted his own facts, and so do you when you’re too f’ing lazy to read something you know won’t be something you’ll want to know.

BTW, the Rams, Chargers, Raiders, and 49ers all are losing attendance at their stadiums. Football is not The King in CA, never really was, and definitely has not been close to being anywhere near the #1 spectator sport in CA since the Madden Raiders and the 80’s & 90’s 49ers. What, the 49ers are 2-19 since the opening of the 2016 season. The Raiders are bailing to Las Vegas and the only California NFL team with a winning record is the Rams, who incidentally are down 10% in stadium attendance this year. Go figure. Great new young quarterback, great new young head coach, but LA is just too laid back for the NFL. Not surprising in the least. Afterall, this is CA and our State prefers futball over American football, duh.

Idenity Politics blended with sports? Football players are just entertainers in the true sense of the word. They exist for our viewing pleasure. Hollywood has already blended entertainment with identity politics, so it is only natural the paid performers with shoulder pads follow suit.
The NFL ain’t going anywhere, neither is the entertainment industry. It’s just such a weird head scratching coincidence that the current decline in NFL viewship happened just about the time some paid performers took a knee while the National Anthem was being played. Now, that is just pure coincidence if I ever saw one. Or maybe not.

They were going full speed ahead trying to get rid of the conservatives and make Fox into another CNN or NBC, or some other news outlet in name only.
