[Does anyone remember the last time that the Congressional Budget Office, or for that matter the WH’s Office of Management and Budget, got any projection, estimate, or prediction right? And by ‘right’ I mean literally ‘close enough for government work’. Now people are hyperventilating that Trumpcare may go forward without anyone knowing its vaunted ‘CBO score’. As a comparison consider how Obamacare went forward also without its CBO score. And when it finally came, the information turned out somewhere between fraudulent to totally useless. The CBO then whined that the ACA was way too complex and too poorly laid out to do a proper scoring job. My own politically unrealistic druther would be to just stand back and let Ocare crash and burn under the full and continuous glare of cameras and klieglights. The current Repub replacement will generate more heat than light, besides becoming the much welcomed new narrative of the Left – ‘Obamacare would have worked given time (the notorious Gruber on NPR this morning), but now they destroyed it and replaced it with Trumpcare that has all these (insert litany here) problems. We need to go back and set up a single payer system like all those EU countries have.’ And how do you refute any of this? For the inquiring mind: healthcare will become ‘affordable’ only when the regulatory barriers for delivering it and its medications are drastically lowered, while concurrently addressing the entitlements gorilla. Overarching solution – make the economy roar, else NOTHING will work. gjr]

Employees who decline genetic testing could face penalties under proposed bill

Who doubts if Sugar Frosted Barry O’s regulators or a democratic congress had proposed this that democrats would have lined up barking like trained seals to support it!

Morning. Did you leap ahead or fall back. I did wonder why the hardware store was open early on a Sunday. Odd.

Poll update:
Trump in a freefall! On Rasmussen he has dropped 21 points in a month from + 14 a month ago to -7 today. Also on Gallop he is now -16, an all time low. This is before the grim scenario of Trumpcare became news. The knives are sharpening and soon the Repubs will be looking at cutting their support as 2018 and the midterms is just around the corner.

Now here’s a real conundrum I find myself in, and perhaps other readers are similarly afflicted. President Trump started out lower than a snakes belly according to PaulE, and he’s been in “free fall” since then. So given his starting numbers, how come he’s not hit bottom yet? This is turning out to be the longest free fall in political history.

Dr. R @212- The problem with that picture is that we are talking about fakenews, from a hyperventilating pearl clutching, fakenewsman, good ol’ PE. As a party parrot he is stuck in that pollhead rut. BDS and TURD’s are a heavy burden for good ol’ pollhead PE. 😉

I think the PE’s of the country will be the residents of mental institutions by the fourth year of a Trump tenure. And if he runs and is re-elected I bet there will be mass suicides.

Oh and I think the Reuters has him above water. So not a real freefall.

Don Why is it “fake news” in your opinion? Do you dispute that the poll numbers actually exist? If so what is fake about them?
George, Trump started with the lowest polls in recorded history for a new President and have sunk even lower. It is a case of “how low can you go”. Bush fell to the high 20’s at the end after starting with a +25 at the start of his first term. Obama was + 35. Trump is -8 average. That’s a 20 point difference which is huge.
As far as how low can he go? Tusdh went as far down as 26% approval so he has a ways to fall. Just a reminder that the Dems won the house and Senate after Bush tanked so you’d better believe that that these numbers are seriously being looked at.

Paul Emery, why do you persist on this poll thing with Trump? You must have a rock for a head. We don’t care. He is going to be your President for four maybe eight years. We like him. Go away.

PaulE 257pm – I’m not contending with you Paul, just not understanding how starting at historical lows and being in free fall for a couple of months still has his head above water. How is that?

I would be interested in comparing good ol’ party parrot PE’s tax rate to the Presidents 2005. 😉

That piker Trump paid on;y 38 million in taxes in 2005. And at only twice the rate of Bernie Sanders and Obama. Man that Trump is a cheapskate.

Sorry George I’m so slow in getting back to you but I’ve been extremely busy rehearsing for our Leonard Cohen show at the crest theater in Sacramento
His historical lows at the very beginning were pretty close to 50-50 which compared to any other modern president when first elected was very weak He has declined since then dramatically in some polls such as Rasmussen and Gallup. Bush was up by 30 at one point and Obama up by 25 early on
Trump care being in the spotlight won’t do him any favors Will just have to wait and see I will do all of your readers a favor by giving daily reports

You have to report income to pay taxes. (I keed, I keed).
I did enjoy the morning news consternation about DT’s tax rate being higher than the other perps. As expected, there was a lot of arch speculation about where the money came from now that the rate was established. It has something to do with Russians or the secret Nazi base in Antarctica, but definitely shows the lack of value in ever giving in to your political opponents. Like blackmailers, they just demand more.
Also, I’d say there’s a high probability that this tax data magically showed up in a reporters ‘mailbox’ in order to knock Vault 7 off news rotation.
This, from the man who paid 13% on his taxes:

Didn’t Paul Emery pick up the Hillary talking points about Trump’s 1995 tax returns? Yes he did and he challenged Trump to release them since he was sure Hillary was right that he sis not pay ant for 18 years after that loss. Sorry PaulE you are just a mouthpiece for your registered party of democrats. Bot believable.

Trumps decline on Rasmussen is astonishing. 29 point shift from +13 on 26 Jan to – 16 today/ Almost unprecedented fall in any poll especially for a new President.

Best thing that could happen to his administration……to let Obamacare die on schedule…..and staple the failure to Mrs. “We have to pass it to find out what’s in it” Pelosi and the democratic party!
I was pretty positive that of the two major parties the Republicans were going to expire first……looks like I was wrong!
The repukes will probably be able to run against the Obamacare collapse fiasco for the next 20 years!
