[Again a Happy New Year to all RR readers and its diligent band of commenters of all political shades who do their dharma battles on these pages.  This year promises to be even more exciting than 2016 – who knew that Trump would win? – if one can conceive that possibility.  Last New Year’s day I opened a new sandbox with these words.

Happy New Year! to all RR readers.  This year will turn out more exciting and surprising than any of us can anticipate.  From the socialists' perspective, they are at the cusp of a victory from which they can deal a deathblow to American capitalism and institute their new economic order as part of the country's fundamental transformation that Obama promised and has already launched.  We conservatarians also see this as a cusp year, but given the disarray of the Republicans, it will be one from which a 2016 Democrat defeat will deliver little besides delaying the day of reckoning between collectivism and open markets capitalism.  So I thought it would be appropriate to start the year with a fresh sandbox.  gjr]

Paul, the only reason you keep trying to play the race card is that you’ve lost the argument over someone being asked to leave private property for cause.
Changing the subject is tantamount to a surrender.

PaulE 211pm – when your establishment is designed for spontaneous consumption and obviously opened to the public, Rebane Doctrine calls for it to accept and serve all who walk in – no separate entrances or seating areas for the Estonian born. But here comes the rub for even accepting that; at what point does the owner get to impose ‘No shirts, no shoes, no service.’? The gray area between race and bare feet spans oceans once you start dicking with private property. I admit the Left knows all the answers here, but I don’t. What I do know is that the Bastiat Triangle (q.v.) is inviolable, you can’t screw with one without weakening the other two.

OK ,, on Paul’s “subject” (oh this is good) should this establishment have called the cops?
Maybe I found out what happened to “jon”.
7:13 p.m. — A caller from a restaurant in the 500 block of Mill Street reported a suspicious individual talking to his tacos and repeatedly entering and reentering the store. The subject, a skinny white male with black hair riding a razer scooter with large wheels, also spent more than an hour in the restroom.
Whatya think Paul? That was a lot of time in the restroom with those tacos.
    Discrimination against taco “lovers”?

A member’s only club is different than going to a diner like Denny’s, duh.
    Ok, forget brievty. Sorry.
I was twice dined and whined at the Friar’s Club in Beverly Hills on the house. Could I ever get in with a ton of cash? No. I was an invited guest, despite the doorman’s obvious disgust that he had to allow a person like me in.
Once stood outside a club in LA. They would not let me in. No collared shirt and not with the beautiful people. I went back to my temp home, changed my clothes, grabbed my neighbor (a former Playboy Bunny but then a single mom on welfare) and her drop dead gorgeous cousin who happened to want to come along. Stood back outside the club and that dude from Starski and Hutch (David Soul ?) was in front of me. The bouncer came out, waved me in with a gorgeous “beautiful people” on each of my arms from the middle of the line, and leaving the actor and his date behind, lol.
Been inside the Black Only Candy Club as an invited guest. The dude sitting on the couch next to me happened to be someone named Smokey Robinson, but I did not recognize him or care. Then Ali stopped in and sat down. Members only, they set the rules, not me. I behaved myself and got many a glare.
I will stop here. Too much info. But, that was when drugs and booze still worked, lol
Why do bars like Mc Gees have bouncers or doormen? Well, they used to back in the day, don’t know if they still do. Why? It’s open to the public, right? Dress codes? Behavior rules? No dirtbags, right?
Nothing to go with race, creed or religion. If I act like a dirtbag, then I will get kicked out of the Bonzaza Market or the Miner’s Foundary….or even thrown out of the dent can store.
Civil rights? Only if you are civil. Comparing a private golf course to Denny’s? I am not surprised.

Hurt being tossed for b ad behavior doesn’t hold up according to Hurts account of the encounter with Trump that led to his being kicked out. This is Hurts account.
“In an interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Hurt said he had seen Trump while playing the course about a year and a half earlier — and that Trump had joked about Hurt’s knickers.
He said in 2007 or 2008, Trump clipped his review of nearby Emerald Dunes and hand-wrote a note to Hurt saying the Trump International course “was much better. You should come play.” That, he said, led him to believe Trump had no hurt feelings resulting from the 23-year-old book.
Hurt said he approached Trump on the golf course Friday “out of courtesy” as Hurt’s foursome — including Republican mega-donor David Koch — got set to start its round. He said he’s not sure what changed Friday.
“Donald will continue to exhibit the erratic behavior he has exhibited his entire life,” Hurt said.
Hurt first said Trump kicked him off the golf course in a post on his Facebook page Saturday.
“Hurt, who has a scratch handicap and plays in colorful knickers, walked over to Trump on the practice range prior to his group’s assigned tee time, only to suffer a tongue lashing from the President-elect,” read the post.
Hurt said he shook Trump’s hand and offered his congratulations, a gesture he said wasn’t reciprocated by the President-elect.
“Trump said, ‘You were rough on me, Harry. Really rough. That s— you wrote,’ ” read the Facebook post.

more-No reports of bad behavior on Hurts part. Just Trump being Trump
“According to one of David Koch’s associates who was briefed on the incident and spoke with Politico, Hurt only went up to Trump as a courtesy. Koch is a member of Trump’s golf club, and when Hurt, a longtime golfing buddy, offered to leave the group after the Trump incident so they could keep playing, Koch replied, “No, we came as a foursome and we’ll leave as a foursome.”

Giving Trump unfavorable reviews does not make me a Democrat Fish. You can do better than that…

No but claiming to be a libertarian and voting for Obama with all that comes with that gives one pause! Calling for socialiized medicine weakens your argument further. Crap…..as a libertarian you think you might give Trump the benefit of the doubt until you actually see how he governs instead of being perpetually butthurt because “the politician” lost. Nobody has any doubts how personal liberty would have fared under another Clinton. Somehow I doubt you would be flinging the same insults if Hillary had won….there would be some tongue clucking and some chin pulling but I think you would have been fine with her…..the senator from Goldman Sachs.
The only personal freedom aspect that I see in your “libertarianism” argument is that you’re in favor of marijuana consumption.

Obama wins again, but only 23% this time for the Most Admired Man in America. Lowest ever for Obama since 08.. Last year Trump was 4%, this year 17%. Trend lines evident for both.
Well, when you are that low in the gutter, the only place to go is up. Or, if you are surrounded, you can fire in any direction and hit something. Always a silver lining.

Interesting sentence structure aside Bush’s Iraq adventure was the greatest foreign policy blunder in US history! Followed by 5 or 6 equally stupid but smaller in magnitude blunders by Obama (and his corrupt little no talent minion Hillary)! Regardless of who is the bigger idiot Obama leaves a more dangerous world than Bush did
No comparison to the economy in 2000 and 2008 and 2008-2016 under Obama.
Again…..doubling the national debt from 10 to 20 trillion gave the Obama economy a sugar high that’s going to really hurt bad to come down from. I imagine the democrats are licking their chops thinking of way to blame the president elect.
