   2017 will be the year the liberals’claws really come out. They will become meanies. I might even care about their feelings as the year progressives and there is the possibility I might even get my feelings hurt by their nastiness.     Walt 1201pm – Well yes, but we are now stuck with the reversal of our political colors all caused by, I am told, by another abysmally ignorant cohort of ABC journalists who misassigned the colors back in 2000 which were then accepted by everyone, supposedly for the sake of consistency.
    Now the conspiracy theorist in me sees the Left deriving another public bamboozling benefit from painting themselves blue. True blue has always been the natural single color of our Union, and red the color of our enemies (from the redcoats to the dirty commies). Our military veterans naturally see the blue/red differentiation as denoting us/them. Since red has always been the color of communists and socialists, that was the natural identification of our enemies during the Cold War. In military maneuvers and war planning we continue to see ourselves and our allies as the blue forces and the enemy red. According to leftwing theorists from Stalin, through Goebbels, to Alinsky, that is enough reason to switch the colors and fool the lightly read public who start with few dots and then have trouble even connecting those.
    So now the Republicans take their subliminal place as the enemies of a true blue socialist America.

    Yes Dr. Rebane…I’ve noticed how the manipulators have changed the meaning of words in our minds. The reversal of blue and red politics bothered me also, because it confuses history…especially to those who remember. Looking back to some of my childhood storybooks clearly shows how they’ve changed the impression of other words into something different, and not as innocent and uplifting.

    I thought we were purple here. I liked the movie The Color Purple. It has a big obese woman that looked like a man which launched her career and the rest is history.
    As far as the color Blue goes, this explains a lot.
    Positive and Negative Traits of the Color Blue:
    Positive keywords include: loyalty, trust and integrity, tactful, reliability and responsibility, conservatism and perseverance, caring and concern, idealistic and orderly, authority, devotion and contemplation, peaceful and calm.
    Negative keywords include: being rigid, deceitful and spiteful, depressed and sad, too passive, self-righteous, superstitious and emotionally unstable, too conservative and old-fashioned, predictable and weak, unforgiving, aloof and frigid. It can also indicate manipulation, unfaithfulness and being untrustworthy.
    Hmmm. I don’t know, Dr. Rebane. The positive aspects is what the Blue folks try to project. Maybe that is how they see themselves under the influence of powerful narcotics or self delusion.
    The negative aspects of sad, depressed, emotionally unstable, spiteful, self-righteous, untrustworthy (if you ever hired a Blue)……well, that is what the Blues are.
    The sad lot makes me feel blue.
    Judging by the positives and negative connotations, it is readily apparent blue is the color of schizophrenia.
    To answer Dr. Rebane’s 11:51am, I see no need to alter the expressions now that we are in a Blue state and county. The Blues are doing a good job all by themselves of self destructing. Rejection is such a bitter pill to swallow.

    Political maps are not the only maps the left has changed. Weather services that lean left use stronger shades of red to portray temperate regions, giving the impression that sunny areas are frying, and hot areas are beyond redemption. It is all part of the world is warming and we humans are responsible. Yes, we are, as it is people who are adjusting past temperatures lower and current temperatures higher to increase the slope on charts and graphs. More trickery to promote the AGW myth.

    To ride Russ’s coat tails, gun sales in Ca.went through the roof. In this last month before the Commiefornia anti gun laws too hold, more guns were sold than in the last year.
    For those that enjoy the trigger time, may I suggest learning to reload? There are classes on that locally.(if you live in Nev. Co.) I’m sure there are more elsewhere.
    You can bet the soon to be required permit to by limited ammo will be pricey, on top of the other fees when you buy that box of ammo. Unless I missed it, I see no rectal exam for buying powder, projectiles, primers, or brass. Someone correct me if I’m mistaken.

    A fresh sandbox! That reminds me, we have a brand new un-baptized catbox at the ready, a Christmas “gift” to our House Lion. I’ve been waiting for the old one’s current litter to be at the end of its useful life.
    The new present is just a larger version of the one that’s been here since the cat was transplanted from our Casa de Lost Wages to Nevada City a couple months ago. Perhaps the greatest invention to come out of Canada in my lifetime, a very clever thinking out of the box (pun intended) solution of the problem of scooping out a litterbox. Some electric boxes use infrared sensors to detect Her Kittyness doing her business, waiting a short time and then, using motorized combs, scooping out the lumps. This does play to my electronic Rube Goldberg sensibilities but in practice, I don’t think they do the job all that well.
    At the Las Vegas house, Rosie just let the cat go out the cat door and find a good spot herself. Cat box problem solved by not having a catbox in the house. However, in our house in the boonies of unincorporated Nevada City, with coyotes loudly announcing their presence at the first light of dawn just feet from the house, having an El Gato aging cat not wise in the skills of Not Being Eaten, that solution is more akin to feeding the local carnivores. So, I go looking for a catbox.
    This is the answer: the Omega Paw Roll and Clean. Only four major parts, the top, the bottom, the tray and the internal plastic dam with slats that sift the lumps from the litter to be reused.

    You roll it to the right, letting the litter to be kept sift into the volume behind the slats, then continue rolling until it’s upside down and all of the material to be removed falls. Rolling it back deposits the stuff into the tray. The remaining litter flows back out, you remove the tray and dispose of the deposits. Add clean litter as needed.
    Clever, these Canucks.
    The first one I bought from Amazon for about $20 exceeded all expectations, but the cat is so large it’s clear she doesn’t have much room to do her thing (think Jeff P. in an airliner’s latrine) but when there’s a will, there’s a way. That’s their standard size.
    The replacement is the Large size, holding more litter and more, umm, of the lumps and clumps. Cost in the low $30’s, delivered to the door.
    This cat was a rescue from a vet in Vegas that nursed the malnourised scrawny half dead stray back to health, and my wife fell in love with it. Not bad as far as cats go, but the last cat I kept in this house did most of his business outside. Wife wanted a cat (this was circa 1994) and I didn’t want to feed the coyotes. Soon after moving in, Teri took our son down south to visit grandparents and I decided to see if the half wild orange cat that was managing to survive outside wanted to share the house. It took a can of Pounce and some canned people tuna to lure it in, with an open door so it didn’t feel trapped, but by the time Teri and Joey got back, we had a cat. Using the Back to the Future physicist naming convention, the cat was Christened Richard P. Feynkatt, and he died after his kidneys failed about 14 years later, a very old cat who continued doing most of his living outside but was very good about coming back inside at dusk, or climbing onto the roof or once of his other safe places the wild canines couldn’t get to.

    I must confess that I have beginning to feel sorry for the Left. I am concerned that they will be committing suicide in their despair. Lena Dunham is on the edge and I am feeling a twinge of pity for them. I was even thinking of being nicer and overlooking their childish behavior, Drama Queen theatrics, and fallacious reasoning. I never believed in teasing the retarded kids on the special bus.
    But, I just have to recall how vicious they are in victory. They do not want us defeated, they want us annihilated. They are evil in their bloodlust d are hell bent on destroying our culture, our borders, our history, our country. Just recall the last 8 years and how they taunted us mercilessly 24/7.
    I realize now that is why RINOs must go. I was thinking like the way Republicans always behave….be nice to them, cut them some slack, let them back in the circle in the name of taking the high road and letting bygones be bygones. I was thinking as a RINO and following the path to our own annihilation (in my moment of weakness!).
    What a fool I am for even entertaining such dangerous, yet passing thoughts. These are same people who when you extend a hand to pull their gasping selves from drowning, they drive a knife deep into your belly while you are in a vulnerable position. Their hatred literally knows no bounds. Decency is a foreign concept to them.
    Thankyou again, Mr. Walt. The day before the election, Trump called into a radio show I was listening to. Donald sounded out of breath, and basically was catching a breather. Sounded like he had given it all and now it was up to the voters. Then he said “you cannot believe how dishonest these people are”, and the host started laughing. I started laughing. We may think we know how dishonest the Left is, but they are even beyond that. You cannot believe how dishonest they are. We cannot even conceive their dishonesty.
    Later that night on election eve, Citizen Trump was running about 90 minutes late to a midnight rally in Michigan. 30,000 people stood out in the freezing cold waiting for him. We cannot forget those 30,000 people standing the dark waiting for The Donald to give it his last ounce of strength. We must not forget those grave souls, we must not let down our guard for a minute or ever turn our backs to the vile enemy. Even in winning, are backs are full of arrows, with more arrows in our backs with each passing day. Imagine if we lost!

    One or two Scalia mold Justices on the SCOTUS, it’s likely California will be dragged kicking and screaming to a must issue, if you like your large magazines you can keep your large magazines, gun rights state.
    I suspect we’re even on our way to a 50 state constitutional carry finding. The tragic Dredd Scott decision was as a result of that Court horrified that freed slaves becoming citizens will allow them to go anywhere at any time like a white man, carry their gun(s) wherever they go.
    Wouldn’t it be nice to have the same rights a freed slave would have nearly 200 years ago?

    Scenes 724am & Russ 950am – Good pick-up gentlemen. The evidence that the lamestream is in the tank for the Left has been overwhelming and becomes more so with each passing day. Imagine the worldwide deaths that ISIS has caused and continues now almost daily, and what our lamestream (and lefty neighbors) would be screaming had such a thing happened from the other side.     But look out if Trump starts destroying Democratic successes e.g.: the Affordable Care Act; the Paris Climate Accord; the Iran Nuclear Agreement; drug law and criminal justice reform; our social safety net including Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, Food Stamps and Public Education; women’s and minority rights; proper immigration reform; voting rights; a peace-promoting foreign policy; or a stable economy, etc.

    Those are the successes?

    OK,,,,OK…. I stand corrected. For the moment. I will heed the opinions of those more educated than me. I just haven’t forgotten the Leftie “drive by” shots taken at me by Boardman on a semi regular basis. He “is” one of “them”. So please excuse my not so preconceived opinion of the guy.
    One more thing. Boardman’s claims of deportation of illegals by “O” are grossly exaggerated.
