[Hah! Here's fresh sand before anyone started bitching about it; perhaps a first. So it looks like the progressive outlets are all agreed that the sky is falling since Trump got elected. They are also sure that the Russians and Chinese are coming and the American republic (for which they have had little use) is also lost. Pretty soon we may have the Daily Kos, MSNBC, CNN, … digging up plans for home bomb shelters from the 1950s and getting their union schools to start teaching 'Duck and Cover' again. gjr]

This is not the behavior of refugees….it is the behavior of invaders!
When all is said and done I expect to see Grandma STASI at the end of a rope!
Oh….even though I stated that my interaction with the FUE on your site was over (He finally “tapped out” with his bleating about Thyber Bullying….and when a 58 year old “man” whines like a teenaged girl I’m inclined to take him at his word that he was feeling thcared!) he is raking you over the coals about the Tech Test again.LikeLike

Paul, there you go again, changing the subject rather than face the questions you’ve dodged. I’ll be happy to discuss Bolton if you’ll answer one from the past, and I’ll make it a more stark choice… do you fear Russians disrupting a US election by planting lies of theirs, or do you fear Russians disrupting a US election by uncovering lies by Democratic Party hacks?
No, Rand Paul is not a Libertarianish Republican… “Libertarian”, capital L, generally refers to the party, not the philosophy.LikeLike

Democrats led by Obama are trying to undermine our national election. They cannot stand the fact they lost so they keep tossing crapola against the wall hoping something will stick. The latest is Josh Ernest, Press Secretary for Obama claiming the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, interfered in the election and favored Trump over Hillary. There is no proof in that yet for some reason Obama is pressing it. He won’t let his intelligence agencies testify in front of Congress which means he is hiding something. Why can’t the American people here their proof? Oh, because there is none of course. What is the upshot of the democrats trying to ruin our elective system? Short term to get Trump’s Electoral College voters to change their votes? Long term to suppress voter turnouts? Who knows, but the democrats are really desperate and will stop at nothing to get Trump’s victory tossed.
But who wins in this track? Other countries that usually see a peaceful transition of power may not be as impressed? I really think the democrats did not get their trophy for showing up and are having a three year old’s tantrum. Our media needs to ensure both points of view are discussed at every opportunity. Not just the whiners from the democrat party. Their attempt to undermine our election and throw doubt into the results is truly “North Korean” to me. What does Castro’s form of government have on us if the democrats are allowed to continue these lies? Nothing! Kim Jong Un is laughing his nuclear warhead ass off. Putin is getting all this credit for hacking while it actually could be a democrat mole, Bernie Sanders supporter! Why is that not out of the question? People supporting Sanders were really mad the democrats screwed him out of the nomination by subterfuge. So one of them got back at them. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz was outed and fired so why not Hillary’s pal Podesta’s emails? That is as rational to me as a foreign power.
And how come there is no proof of hacking the actual ballots? Only the allegation from the democrats that Wikileaks propagandized the shenanigans of the democrats. Which I guess convinced millions to abandon Hillary and go for Trump./ Sure, what a crock. So all of you that agree with me send this or share this view and let the nation know we are not allowing the left to steal our victory. Steal like they did in the Minnesota Senate and Washington State Governor. And countless others. Liars never prosper.LikeLike

fish 1003am – Agreed. RR’s position has been from the beginning that the Islamic colonization of Europe, according to their own literature, is nothing but the resumption of the Battle of Vienna in 1683. Only the west’s little read and naifs (aka progressives) believe otherwise.
http://rebaneruminations.typepad.com/rebanes_ruminations/2010/02/of-ragheads-and-racism.html
And thanks for the heads up on FUE – looks like it’s a slow day for grand openings of local retail merchants and readership is down. It still appears that none of his regulars have dawned on the conundrum of why RR continues as a perennial target for their ad hominems if it and its readers are insignificant and irrelevant in the local scheme of things. Can they not connect the obvious dots?LikeLike

Paul, you are way too late to the party. We have been dissing Bolton for a couple of weeks now because, like you, he may be a neocon….along with Little Marco, Tiny Lyndsey, and McCain, and of course, the Globalists.
I was screaming that Hillary and Obama (In other places, mostly) were pushing for a direct military confrontation with Russia in Syria. Her no fly zone in Syria would have lead to intervention. Remember the no fly zone in Iraq after Desert Storm under W? It was our green light to invasion. Day by day during this election the drumbeats for war were being pounded from the Administration and the Hillary/Sydney Bloomenthal Camp. More war!!!…rhetoric increased by the week while you were out hyperventilating over friggin tweets and style.
Destabilize the whole Middle East. Put NATO on Russia’s borders. Put the Muslim Brotherhood in charge of Syria, Libya, Egypt, and Iraq. How is that working out?????
We did not care for Russian missles 90 miles from our borders and would never tolerate it. Nor should Putin. Remember the Cuban missles crisis?
Hillary called Putin a Nazi for goodness sake’s..Not very diplomatic for a Secretary of State. Everything has been turned on it’s head. The Democrat leadership (Globalists and Statists) are the neocons and the right is be hammered for being doves. Go figure. Liberalism by its inherent nature IS international expansion. I see no difference between liberalism and Jihad.
Hillary arming of the Syrian “rebels” (aka Islamofascists murdering Stone Age “Freedom Fighters”) with arms taken from Libya and placed in ISIS’s hands was a disaster. First, Libya was no threat to us and it was Hillary’s brainchild, along with the EU. Those arms went straight to ISIS via the rebels we chose to back (from Benghazi of all places) and helped blood thirsty fanatics gain large swaths of land in Iraq and Syria…..to kill your beloved female Kurdish fighters, American troops, our advisers, Russians, and Syrian and Iraqi civilian Shias. Heck, they even treat their own Sunnis as doormats, slaves. and sex slaves. Glucked up, man.
What a cluster. Why we are even in Syria I have not a clue, expect Assad is a puppet of the Kremlin and they want to box Putin in and arm resistance to Moscow through countries formerlly in the USSR…like on her border.
At least Russia did more in 7 days to ISIS than Obama did in 9 months….after we gave him of our Intel!! In less than two weeks he wiped their oil conveys out before reaching the Turkish coasts….something our planes were told not to do because of our ass backward rules of engagement.
Now, Bolton is our former ambassor to the UN and will submit to our new President’s Trump Doctrine. He ain’t 100% bad either, but he is of the Mitt Romney camp. Bolton knows all the cast of characters and is experienced. He will do what Trump tells him to or he will hear the words, You’re Fired. But, it is best if we avoid all the neocons from the left and the right….all of them. They will lead us to the Eve of Destruction.
It is the Establishment that wants neocons in charge. Same with the bloodthirsty psychotic tyrants behind the curtain in the European Parliament, an unelected body.
Wars come and go, but avoidable needless wars are unpalatable. . .to put it mildly.
Paul your misguided comments about Putin last night just played inte hands of Neocons and building Putin hysteria up to a French. He is a mo-fro, but just one of many. You are pounding the drumbeats of war. Glad to see you your are wary of Ambassador Bolton. We ALL must remain vigilant and not give the war mobgers any openings.LikeLike

What we are seeing in the Democratic Party is an apres election tantrum.
They lost, they should get over it.
Yes, Trump is a flawed candidate, but since from a WikiLeaked email we know Democratic Party insiders were pushing their lickspittle journalists to promote Trump at the beginning of the Primary season, it seems particularly fitting they accept the result. You broke it, you own it.
It’s also clear that no matter the GOP candidate, lickspittle Democratic journalists would have been pushing that candidate as the racist, sexist, bigoted homophobe du jour, just as they have done in every election I can recall, while ignoring the Libertarian and the Green/P&F candidates so as to drive the voters to the Democratic nominee as the only alternative choice.LikeLike

Liars never prosper Todd? Serial liar Oliver North did prety well for himselm after becoming a famous lia. From Nancy Reagan
“October 29, 1994|By BOB KEMPER Daily Press
Former first lady Nancy Reagan broadsided Republican Senate candidate Oliver North Thursday night, saying North is a liar unable to distinguish fact from fiction.
“I know Ollie North has a great deal of trouble separating fact from fantasy,” Mrs. Reagan said during a public appearance in New York. “He lied to my husband and lied about my husband, kept things from him that he should not have kept from him, and that’s about what I think about Ollie North,” she said.LikeLike

Gregory asks me
” do you fear Russians disrupting a US election by planting lies of theirs, or do you fear Russians disrupting a US election by uncovering lies by Democratic Party hacks?”
I fear the Russians getting involved in our politics in ANY way. It’s obvious they prefer Trump and he’s become their best PR mam as evidenced in recent polls showing remarkable affection for him by Republicans. As far as Putin is concerned what is their not to like about Trump being President.
Can you show me one word Trump has said about the Russians assisting the genocide in Allepo as we speak?
Trump taking advantage of Russian stolen information is near treason in my view. What does Putin gain by Trump being President? That’s the question we should be asking.LikeLike

Trump tapped Tillerson for secretary of state despite his history of arguing against sanctions on Russia, which could affect Exxon’s joint ventures with Russia’s state oil company. In 2013, Putin awarded Tillerson the Order of Friendship in honor of his efforts to improve U.S.-Russia ties. Looks like a payback for Putin after his assistance in getting Trump elected.
I never was a Clinton supporter so the revelations posted by Putin do not surprise me.LikeLike

Opps, per usual. Building this anti-Putin mantra up to a friggin frenzy. The drums of War.
Russia has its national interests, so does the Chinese, North Koreans, Iranians, Bolivians, and the USA. We have to do business with a lot of dangerous people in our world and we must face them……but to make them out to be Hitter Incarnate is just an excuse to have our sons and daughters come home in body bags…on our dime.
If you think that the Iranians, Chinese, North Koreans, and every friend and foe had not been hacking our system then you do have shit for brains. It’s called Cyper Warfare and it did not start yesterday. We are good at hacking, spreading misinformation, spreading disinformation, sabotage foreign networks, and collecting Intel ourselves. We even hacked Merkel’s cell phone. It’s called collecting information.
BTW, anybody notice during this whole Wikileaks and Russian operatives in Trump’s Cabinet foolishness that the subject of Hillary’s 33,000 missing e-mails has been muted? It was not Wikileaks…. but one of those 33.000 e-mails has been leaked. Somebody has them and released just one to let us know they have them….talk about a beeline to blackmail. We dodged a bullet with Hillary losing…fair and square.
Wonder who hacked the SS numbers, relatives’ addresses and phone numbers, background checks of what..a few hundred thousand government employees (and gov’t contractors) personnel files. They…whoever they are…they have your mother’s maiden name and the names of your 2nd grade teachers and……..it’s Cyper Warfare and it did not begin in 2016.
It’s not all drugs, sex, and rock n roll nor flower power. It’s games…dangerous but necessary games. All I am saying is give peace a chance. We can do business with them without going to war.
Ollie North. Paul, you are one fucked up guy living in a make believe world of unicorns and lollipops. Stick to legalized grass.

re PaulE 1110am – I’m still waiting for the link to the US government source that concludes and accuses the Russian government of having hacked Hillary’s and DNC’s emails. I don’t expect PaulE to supply such information, but perhaps someone else can. But I do find the “treasonous” connection to the use of the emails’ public domain info content to be somewhat remarkable if not overboard. Paraphrasing another reader who previously asked – would it still be unethical (or “near treasonous”) to use stolen information about a planned terrorist strike to defend against that and future such strikes? Now dial that down to lesser criminal activities. Now dial it down to revelations of unscrupulous and unethical actions by national leaders. If such a boundary against use of hacked emails in the public domain exists, where/what should it be?

Ok, let’s get to the meat and potatoes of this: Goldberg slams both Trump and the Corrupt Crying Dems. It’s the last two paragraphs that is what really is going on here. Maybe we should really look for solutions….after Trump is sworn in.
“It’s a poisonous situation all around. Trump refuses to budge on his claim to a glorious, massive victory (or back off of his disturbing Putinphilia). Democrats — and much of the media — won’t grapple with the fact that Clinton lost fair and square, and they are in desperate pursuit of excuses to reject Trump’s legitimacy. Some are even working to give electors an intelligence briefing before they have to vote, presumably in an effort to overturn the election. The only hope is that after Trump has been sworn in, both sides can revisit the issue of Putin’s clearly insidious agenda, without the specter of a “do-over” coloring everything people say — and everything Trump hears.”

Paul, the big picture is I think you are laying the ground work for impeachment or invalidate the election. We have a trust issue here.
Todd once said Snowden (or Assange) was a traitor, and you shot back he is a hero. Which one is it? Sure, Bush lied and people died was your one trick pony…for years. But now you believe everything Intel says as gospel. It’s ok to stick it to da man….unless it’s your ox being gored, then you drip with incredulous moral outrage.
BTW, The Evil Hannity who once called Assange a traitor, now says he is not a bad fellow, an alright guy. A good person. It just depends on which Da Man is being poked in the eye. I cannot get past your motives…you are always trying to bring my side down and always ignore the criminal activity and unethical behavior of your side.
Try being a bit more fair, you knucklehead, if you want to have a modicum of anything resembling credibility.
BTW, you now believe polls?? Or just the polls that say I jerk off in front of Putin’s portrait??
I will throw you a bone: nobody polled me, but if they did, I would say I like his interest in preserving wild animals and the way he treats his dogs and horses. 🙂

Paul, it’s maddening conversing with you. But, you are still a good guy. You just drive me up the wall. Ollie North? Nancy Reagen was a witch. I know. My step mom’s niece was one of the of the maids/housekeeping at Reagen’s home after he left office and became ill. She said Nancy ripped her a new one for making sandwiches too big for the Secret Service dudes. They were only allowed one small sandwich each. Poor guys were hungry and she was forbidden to make them a second sandwich or a big sandwich.
Nobody is 100% good nor 100% evil. You pick your sources to fit YOUR narrative, even if it’s Nancy Reagen or Newt or Putin. See the forest from the trees.

This is the latest ABC report on the matter. The details will come out in a couple days. Even the lamestream, as you call them, would not go thius far out on a limb without full evidence.
Two senior officials with direct access to the information say new intelligence shows that Putin personally directed how hacked material from Democrats was leaked and otherwise used. The intelligence came from diplomatic sources and spies working for U.S. allies, the officials said.
Putin’s objectives were multifaceted, a high-level intelligence source told NBC News. What began as a “vendetta” against Hillary Clinton morphed into an effort to show corruption in American politics and to “split off key American allies by creating the image that [other countries] couldn’t depend on the U.S. to be a credible global leader anymore,” the official said.LikeLike

Paul, I won’t bother to read your poll again. It’s meaningless to me. Just another distraction.
I remember a few years ago (when Putin saved Syria from the impending US/NATO invasion over Assad’s use of chemical weapons he got from Suddam), that Putin was the most popular man in the whole world…and the most recognizable. Yessiree, the Most Popular man on the planet. Page one story. Man of the Year, the new Peacenik, lol. Give him a friggin Nobel Prize or something. Obama got one, so did that psychopath multi-millionaire stealing from the poor murdering piece of crap exhortionist lying peace-hating Yasser Arrafat. Loved by the liberals. All libs love Castro and Hugo and Mao and Lenin…anybody but Putin. Whatz up with dat???. Putin needs love too! Go pound sand. No more looking under the microscope when it’s staring you in the face.
Ok, slam Trump for not bitching about Allepo. Slam Trump for not flailing his arms. Hey, we have a President right now. His name is B. Hussein O. It’s his friggin war, asswipe. You got a complaint??? Paul, ABC, like virtually all journalists print or video, have been in the tank for Democrats for this election cycle and all others in memory.
They have no credibility going forward. They are the rigged system.
Russia and China aren’t doing anything that we aren’t doing, and Clinton herself pissed Putin off by claiming his election was rigged. Turn about is sometimes fair game. The big lie often repeated remains that the WikiLeaks were sourced by Russian hackers, and the only evidence for this is “well, the Russians were trying to get at that data”. WikiLeaks insiders are adamant that it was an inside job, a leak, not a hack.
Again, in any case the Russkies didn’t force Democrats to conspire to get Hillary over the finish line by nefarious means, and it’s a shame our free press wasn’t free enough to actually cover that story adequately. The current feeding frenzy is an attempt to subvert the election and, if that fails, to damage the incoming President Trump. Partisan politics at its worst.
For shame.LikeLike

I doubt this is the case here. Details will come out no doubt. IT is very rare That a major media would go out on a limb like this without full corroboration of the facts.
Look at how long it took Deep Throat to be public.
You’re allowing yourself to be ignorant on this. Too much water gone under the bridge and it’s too late to turn back now.
How many times do I have to say that Obama’s policy was a continuation of the same disastrous failure that Bush started when he advocated regimen change in Iraq. Trump seems to be leaning towards cuddling up with Putin.LikeLike

” IT is very rare That a major media would go out on a limb like this without full corroboration of the facts.”
You mean like Dan Rather’s career ending going out on a limb with faked documents said to be from Bush II’s National Guard record, or all of Brian Williams personal Fake News?
It happens often, Paul, but the bricks and mortar “news” business doesn’t air its dirty laundry out in the open. All they really have are leaks in this case from individuals within a very politicized intelligence service.LikeLike

Paul… true or false… Clinton was for regime change before she was a’gin it?

Wonder what McCain and little Lynsey have to say now about another costly Obama failure. Like men playing football against boys….too easy.
“It did not have to be this way,” Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in a statement. “But this is the inevitable result of hollow words and inaction, red lines crossed without consequences, tarnished moral influence, ‘leading from behind,’ and a total lack of American leadership.”
They said “the name Aleppo will echo through history, like Srebrenica and Rwanda, as a testament to our moral failure and everlasting shame,” while predicting the Assad regime will use the cease-fire to “reset its war machine and prepare to slaughter its way to victory across the rest of the country.”
At least one reporter was dong his job:
“You’ve failed repeatedly doing the same thing over and over again, which is a combination of trying to bring together people in some sort of talks with, sort of, imperfect cease-fire and then when things go badly you get really angry … and then nothing ever changes,” the reporter charged.

Shias broke the cease fire. They be our side.LikeLike

There are examples but the vast majority of major news stories from major media outlets holds up. Give it a few days and I’m confident I am right on this one. Till then believe whatever you wish. Even Republicans are coming around to accept it.
Sen McCain
“I don’t know what to make of it because it’s clear the Russians interfered,” Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, told CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “Whether they intended to interfere to the degree that they were trying to elect a certain candidate, I think that’s a subject of investigation. But facts are stubborn things. They did hack into this campaign.”
McCain also discussed senators are working on a bipartisan basis to put together a plan for further investigating the matter.
“We’ll go to work on it, we’ll go to work immediately because the issue of cyber is not a static issue,” McCain told Wallace. “You can’t make this issue partisan, it’s just — it’s too important. A fundamental of a democracy is a free and fair election.”
Sen Graham
Senior US Republican senator Lindsey Graham has said his campaign email account was hacked by Russians.
Sen Graham also told CNN that he believed “the Russians” hacked into the Democratic National Committee, and accused them of trying to “destabilise democracy all over the world”.
Officials in Russia have repeatedly denied hacking accusations.LikeLike

“U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch stated Thursday that the United States intelligence community has not found any evidence of “technical interference” on the part of the Russian government on voting machines used in the 2016 election.”
The vary same witch that handed Hillary her get out of jail free card.
This is fresh off the presses Paul,, Not looking good for your accusations,LikeLike

Truth be known, not one of the many factions over there are on our side. Not the Shias, not the Sunnis, not the rebels, or any of their numerous competing factions, not the Syrian army, not the Iranians, not the Iraquis, not even the Kurds. And especially not the beloved Muslim Brotherhood, aka, Obama’s “moderates”. There are no moderates in Islam. Why the hell did did we get ourselves involved? Because Hillary wanted to? To squeeze Russia? Not to help Israel. We interfered directly in their election to overthrow BeBe. We kiss those who are sworn to destroy us and stab knives in the backs of those who stand by us. With friends like us, who needs enemas.
None over there in Islam Wasteland are on our side, none. They are ALL looking out for their own interests and fighting each other to sit on the throne and crush their oppentents. And they all believe in the genocide of Christians.
Now Iraqi is a proxy state of Iran. Iran’s largest trading partner is Russia. Bush left Iraq stable and got Libya to play nice. No Paul, this was not a continuation of The Bush Doctrine. Bush never tried to overthrown Egypt and replace the President with his daddy’s beloved Muslim Brotherhood.
Obama is a disgrace. At least Churchill’s bust is back in good hands and we will be alowed to say Merry Christmas again…..Christmas, a federally recognized national holiday, but you would have never known it after 8 years of Obama….Obama, the man who went to Cairo and told the Egyptian banned terrorist group The Muslim Brotherhood “I am one of you.” Well, he told the truth that day…for once. Before that he spoke the truth another time when he said he was going to fundamentally transform America as we know it.
What a mess Trump inherits.LikeLike

I don’t think you understand how news works with confidential sources. Their stories are corroborated by two other reliable sources before they become news. Thought you knew that. This will sort itself out soon as more Republicans are demanding answers.
http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/trump-russia-hackers-republicans-229572
Here is the essence of the difference between the FBI and the CIA.
The CIA clearly believes Russia hacked political emails. The FBI is not sure they have criminal evidence to go to court. The CIA is defiantly raising the flag on this,.
““The FBI briefers think in terms of criminal standards — can we prove this in court,” one of the officials said. “The CIA briefers weigh the preponderance of intelligence and then make judgment calls to help policymakers make informed decisions. High confidence for them means ‘we’re pretty damn sure.’ It doesn’t mean they can prove it in court.”
The FBI is not sold on the idea that Russia had a particular aim in its meddling. “There’s no question that [the Russians’] efforts went one way, but it’s not clear that they have a specific goal or mix of related goals,” said one U.S. official.
Does the differebce nakd sebse to you George?LikeLike
