Islamophobia is ill-defined as an unreasonable fear of global Islamism. RR has maintained for years that we are in a renewed war between civilizations – Islam vs the west (or Christianity as they see it).  The west’s Left has identified Islamophobia as a racist reaction by the western Christians.  In the last two years more and more western commentators have begun to agree that the current conflict is much bigger than the ‘war against terror’ caused by western imperialism or bad economies in Muslim countries.  The most recent to expound on the realities facing the west is Scott Richert, executive editor of The Chronicles, in his very readable ‘Thoroughly Modern Muslims’.

Putin will move on the Baltics before Obama leaves office. I make this a high likelihood given the spineless foreign policy of the Obama administration and our president’s patently erroneous calls on the world’s reaction to forcing the US to lead from behind.

The Iranian mullahs will roll up our much celebrated ‘nuclear deal’ into a tight cylinder and tell Obama where to shove it as soon as they get their hands on a sufficient amount of their $100B+ that our president agreed to let them have for reasons which the world to this day has no idea about.

The FBI will find Hillary culpable for unending security violations concerning her private email server and the emails which she claims she didn’t know were classified because they were not so marked. Since AG Lynch will not prosecute Hillary, FBI Director Comey will resign, and that will start others to discover their own reasons for principled resignations.

[4jan16 update] Am told that the local Left still does not get the purpose of the Second Amendment in its high disapproval of the recent NC Tea Party raffle of an AR-15.  They do not understand the comprehensive statement about our times that such a gun makes when included in their fundraiser.  Some of the ignorant continue to believe that the Second was all about duck hunting.

Women STEM graduates are lagging men, and something must be done. The blame game is in full swing to satisfy the quota shortfall watchdogs.  I am still amazed that anyone can take still elevate this into a social problem after all the female specific programs launched in recent years to get girls interested in STEM careers.  Maybe there are some intrinsic differences in the sexes, or is that also beyond debate – who knows?  (more here)

[5jan16 update] In the sheeple department I am reminded again how government raises the tax burden unbeknownst to the consumer by continually convincing them that business taxes will be raised as opposed to personal income taxes.  The poor schlub, usually voting the Democrat ticket, believes what he hears and does not even murmur that business taxes are just another ‘invisible’ tax burden that he must bear.  He cannot be taught that businesses pay no taxes.  To business tax is just another expense that is used to justify higher prices to the consumer of their products and services.  Since all businesses have to pay the taxes (at least the ones without clever tax lawyers, accountants, and lobbyists), they all raise prices in concert.  The alternative is to go out of business, which also happens while progressives continue to trumpet that tax rates do not affect business behavior.  These thoughts reprised as I was doing some family portfolio work this morning.

Islam's history of contemporary colonization is documented in detail by Dr Peter Hammond in his Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat.  A synopsis was sent to me by a correspondent.  I am too lazy to reformat the email, but do consider its content important to understanding our continuing study of Islam.  So I just uploaded a pdf of it which you can access here - Download DrPeterHammond.

[6jan16 update] Crocodile tears from the consummately compassionate community organizer yesterday as he desperately seeks to divert national attention from a long limping economy, disastrous foreign policy, and growing Islamist attacks and assaults in the heartlands (including our own) of the west.  Imposing further restrictions on exercising Second Amendment rights, restrictions totally irrelevant to the carefully induced tears, signals the eight years’ failure of this presidency.  Not to be outdone, CA’s idiot voters have populated Sacramento with calamitously corrupt politicians who have passed another law now making it a crime for CCW permit holders to carry on the state’s college campuses.  It is hard to conceive of a dumber response to the insane or the terrorists who are invited to slaughter where assuredly unarmed sheep assemble. Concerning the update about taxes and the Sheeple. No, this is not about the USA’s tax policy, but one little country in the Americas that I use to love to travel about when it was not a tourist destination. Great backcountry and even the rebels were friendly and most hospitable to me, but I digress.
Why raise the sales taxes??. They should just tax businesses more and the little people will feel no pain, right?

    From the Chief of Police:
“Albers also admitted the police have no suspects and knowledge at all about the perpetrators, except that they are thought to be aged between 18 to 35.”
Plus their earlier story on demonstrators:

    PJ Media on Cologne Molestations
    https://pjmedia.com/trending/2016/1/5/coverup-of-mass-molestations-on-new-years-eve-in-cologne-draws-ire
The poor Germans have no idea what they’re in for:
Some women reported being encircled by large groups of men who had “fingers on every orifice.” One report claimed a woman was raped. The several day delay of confirmation of the attacks from officials roused suspicions of a cover-up. Anabel Schunke wrote on Huffington Post’s German language site Monday accusing police officials and public media outlets of covering up the issue entirely.
The attacks appeared to be coordinated, according to a report by German news outlet The Local. One group of men allegedly threw firecrackers into a large gathering of people celebrating near a famous cathedral located in the heart of Cologne, while another group of men allegedly began sexually assaulting and robbing women while the crowds were distracted by the firecrackers. It is not confirmed, however, the two groups were working together.

The deeper I read into this article, the more alarmed I became. Mayor of Cologne won’t link the attacks to migrants? It must have been those Icelanders. BBC has an field office in Cologne and when it finally reported on the mass mugging (in serve real places across Germany), you have to read down 18 paragraphs to find the word immigrant. Why not just say “alleged migrant” and put that term in the 16th paragraph to save space and time?
You can be ignorant about reality, but reality will never be ignorant.

As readers of RR know, the Rebanes have a deep and abiding connection to Germany. Of the many families with whom we correspond (of both Left and Right sentiments) it becomes more clear every day that Europe is toast to Islamic colonization. Our friends from the Left cannot find enough to do to help Muslim migrants into Germany, and our friends on the Right are either indifferent or sound hopeless about anything that can be done. It is sad to witness the Götterdämmerung of one of the world’s leading cultures, and a continent to follow.

When one ponders that Islamics are throwing Christian Arabs out of the refugee lifeboats to drown at sea BEFORE the flimsy crafts start to take on water in rough seas or before they are in any danger of capsizing, there is much to chew on here. Call me an Islamicphobe until the cows come home, but would you welcome any immigrant into any civilized country that just murdered people for no reason except their religion? Chew on that. Some just committed murder by killing Christians in the lifeboat and a few hours or days later and expect to be let in with open arms?
This is not some life or death situation like the Donner Party faced. It was finding out who is not an Islamic and murdering them on the way to seek asylum. Hey Libbies: Screw your brave new world, bitches. Try that in Texas, bitches. Bro Ben, tell me again about how bad America is, bitch.

“evidence that the newspaper presents purposely inaccurate information?” Get a subscription to “FAIR” as they do content analyses that provide a good quantification of bias. The political press operates on opinions, innuendo, he said-she said, bias and uncorroborated sources. They don’t really want to know if the “information” is true or not if it fits their agenda. No, it is not on purpose, just purposely negligent.

    Update on Hillary’s E-mails
Nevertheless, as pointed out on PJM by Debra Heine, it very much could happen. Heine cited Laura Ingraham’s Tuesday radio interview with former U. S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Joe DiGenova, some of which went as follows in verbatim transcription (you can listen to the full interview here):
DiGenova: Hillary Clinton’s going to have problems because of what’s in the emails, but also the classifications. Her biggest problem right now is the FBI. They’re not going away. They have reached a critical mass in their investigation of the Secretary and all of her senior staff. And, it’s going to come to a head, I would suggest, in the next sixty days. And, I predict Hillary will not make it to the finish line. She’s not going to be able to complete her campaign. The criminal investigation must focus on her and all the people around her. And, if Jim Comey, the FBI director, is doing his job, which I expect him to do as an honorable man, she cannot be the nominee of the Democratic Party. She’s going to have to be charged with the crime. It’s going to be a very complex matter for the Department of Justice, but they’re not going to be able to walk away from it. She and her staff have committed numerous federal crimes involving the negligent and improper handling of classified information. They are now at over 1,200 classified emails. And, that’s just for the ones we know about from the State Department. That does not include the ones that the FBI is, in fact, recovering from her hard drives. (1:08)
    [snip]
Ingraham: Do you have confidence that Loretta Lynch, from what we saw with her handling of the Baltimore riots and all that, is going to okay, green light an indictment of Hillary Clinton in an election year? (3:21)
DiGenova: I believe that the evidence that the FBI is compiling will be so compelling that, unless she agrees to the charges, there will be a massive revolt inside the FBI, which she will not be able to survive as an Attorney General. It will be like Watergate. It will be unbelievable.

Russ, I was wondering why all of a sudden Biden came out 2 days ago saying he regrets every day not running for President. Every single day he regrets his decision, said out of the blue as soon as Fed prosecutor DiGenova made his comments. Coincidence? I report, you decide.
To add credence to my lowly observation, what ever happened to Forked Tongue Screeching Sqaw Elisabeth Warren? Out of the blue she just endorsed Bernie’s Wall Street plan over Hillary’s. Why now? And why did Jim Webb announce he is considering running 3rd Party? Why now? New Year’s Resolutions or do they know the FBI has an iron clad slam dunk case against Hillary??
But, of course, iron clad no brainier investigations are placed in the secure and obscure vaults of the Justice Department when the light never shines. Oh well, sure is fun watching the food fight.
Prediction. It will be Bernie Vs Trump, head to head, toe to toe, Mano e Mano. Not a Democrat in the race for once. I do have to give Bernie his due. He has spent his entire political career defeating Democrats.
Back up prediction: Bernie vs Cruz. Now I have all the bases covered.
