[Well, that was quite an episode in the last sandbox that I hope has run its course, or at least not let that thread of ad hominem exchanges leak out.  I see that Sen Ted Cruz will throw his hat in the ring tomorrow, NATO's chief sees continued expansion from Putin that may get out of hand, and Bibi is keeping his powder dry re the farcical negotiations going on with Iran.  And our own Bob Crabb is celebrating that Spring has sprung with a change in the business climate hereabouts.  gjr]

It will be Bush in a walk Todd, no pun intended. He’s the one with the big money support. It’s a family thing, just like the Clintons. The big boys know what they’re paying for.

Paul Emery, since you consistently support losers for President (like I did for two cycles) then help us change things. Let’s get Walker, perhaps Christie.

Nah Todd. They are part of the problem. We need truly independent leaders not those bought out by our one party system. The main function of the Republican and Democratic wings are to be a collection agency for special interest money pure and simple.

OK Paul Emery, I get it. You will never make any changes to the “system” because you don’t really want to. Just carping is OK with you apparently.

    “We need truly independent leaders…”
A nice thought, the problem is that there really isn’t much of anything that a majority of the hoi polloi would agree on. If they did, it may well not be a good idea anyway.
This notion of the ‘moneyed interests’ vs a solid bloc made up of everyone else is kind of silly.

Thank you Todd for coming right out and saying you don’t vote on your principles for President, only for the presumptive “winner”. Principle plays no part for your vote, as opposed to folks like Paul and Ben who have clearly stated their voting principles. So we do thank you for that frank admission that you support ANYONE who you think can topple a Dem. But on the other hand, I thought you and others believe that members of the Republican Party are the party of principles. Please excuse our confusion regarding Republican “principles” or lack thereof.
To think that Scott Walker or Chris Christie represent “changë” in politics is more than laughable, given the big $$$$ money donors each of them has courted, and their total, undying alliance with Big Money and Big, Big Business interests.

Do you really believe that Christie and Walker are independent of big money interests?
Driveby: “notion kind of silly”? Goodness gracious we have to believe in something don’t we? Certainly you don’t not believe that what we have now with our one party system qualifies as a “good idea”.

Bush? Uh,, I don’t think so. Even today he sucks in the polls, and he’s too GOP.
The people are siding with those with Tea Party values. That’s a fact. LIBS are in a death spin. Even LIB news is on life support. Soon,, even that plug will get pulled.
So what will LIBS looking to keep the W.H. let alone regain seats do? NO in the tank media to bury the bad news.
As stated before,, Al Gore was right about ONE thing. “The Internet will be the death of Liberals staying in power.” Yup,, he was right. When LIB media lost the control of the flow of information, well,,, history has shown you the rest.
Even with the LIBS trying to control the net with “net neutrality”,, well,, a day late and a dollar short.

Walt, no one cares about these supposed polls 20 months out from the election. Its like putting weight on the joke of the Iowa Straw Poll or even the Iowa Caucus results. Anyone who take 15 minutes to study the correlation of these polls to the Nominees of the past understands what a joke they are. You Tea Party types are always pissed about something regarding change in our world and society, so ho hum on that. The sad part is that you are being played for saps yet again by the Big Money boys like the Kochs and the Chamber of Commerce. The real action starts when they begin waving their dollars around toward the end of the Primary season. Sadly your perpetually agitated Tea Buds will once again be relegated to their lower pawn status within the Party power structure.

Sure we do, the problem is that we don’t all believe the same thing. Heck, I doubt that the Social Justice Warriors could present a united front aside from their ability to identify and tear down their enemies.
Merely agreeing on goals would be a good start.
The funny thing is that if you somehow pushed the banksters out of the way, another equally loud (and irritating) group would move right into the ecosystem niche.

I don’t recall Ben being that condescending..
Ben sees himself as an “educator” helping we dim conservatarians see that glorious and radiant progressive future. That role emphasized with the shotgun blast of helpful links that accompany each and every post.
jeffy on the other hand sees himself as deigning to address his lessers. “jon” oozes that same attitude.

There were no questions about Cruz. Just Paul’s hallucinations about our country becoming a theocracy because of what was said by some one who is not Ted Cruz.
Obama’s and Clinton’s fathers were drunken zeros. Did Paul or anyone else think our country was in danger of becoming inebriated because of them?
Cruz is honest and espouses following the law. His views on what type of govt we should have follow the founders.
Does Jon or Paul have any useful and truthful comments on Ted Cruz’s opinions or actions? Or just name calling and rock throwing?

Too close to call Gregory so I must save my 30 Quatloos for neighborhood organizing! lol The usual suspects in Nevada County have been awfully ham handed in a number of ways recently. The garbage being heaped on good people like Ted Cruz should be obvious to anyone with any common sense. Personally, I like people with intelligence and courage. Here’s an interesting story that’s making the rounds. A great history lesson that shows that the tenets of Islam has not changed since the18th century! Why the Marine Hymn Contains the Verse “To the Shores of Tripoli.” Most Americans are unaware of the fact that over two hundred years ago the United States had declared war on Islam and Thomas Jefferson led the charge! You can read the rest of the story here.

Ted Cruz is not a good person. Speaking of garbage, he’s a selfish punk, universally disliked among his Senate colleagues. He’s not going to get close to becoming the Presidential nominee, so in the next several months he will be rendered as worthless as Sarah Palin. But Bonnie, thanks for the right wing chain mail of the day. Sounds like you are sympathetic to a war against Islam, millions of followers who happen to be US Citizens.

Too bad Jon didn’t check out truth or fictions story regarding Thomas Jefferson standing up to the Pirates extorting money from various nations and the origin of the Marine hymn containing the verse “to the shores of Tripoli.” It should be interesting to those with inquiring minds. Obviously Jon is a self anointed God whose brain has no room for anything but prejudice and hatred for anything contrary to his superior doctrine.
