I don’t get cable/satellite broadcast TV either. Too cheap to buy it. And I don’t do antenna TV on my van down by the river. Neither do I listen to Limbaugh (rare occasions) nor read the Daily Kos. I do miss Rachel’s hairdo and small sweet maiden breasts on MSPMS and that anti-gun nut Brit making a fool of himself on Chicken Noodle News. Heard he is gone. Pierce, wasn’t it? How soon we forget.
Perhaps Joe K. needs a brain wash to think a wee bit more clearly. Just pop that organ out of your mellon, soak it in a good detergent like Tide for 25 minutes, and reinsert into cranium. Easy as pie, simple, very inexpensive, and cures the Numbskull Syndrome. He has had a nincompoop feeding his mind with all sorts of weird thoughts for too long. A good brainwash is past due. 🙂LikeLike

More proof that the liberal affliction can cause Numbskull Syndrome. Oh, the poor thing had such a bright future ahead of her and now even The Huffington Post is calling for her to be put out to pasture. Sad, sad story, yet not uncommon when the wretched Numbskull Syndrome strikes. I can barely recognize her. Oh Ruthie Baby, where did you go wrong?

Ben at 6:54 -“On my walk in the trees yesterday after my participation here I thought about this blog and why I get so much opposition.”
In the trees, Ben? Sure you weren’t walking on water?
Next time before you think about this blog, I would advise you to READ other’s words and think about what we conservatives actually write. Almost everything you accuse us of is completely untrue.
As far as you thinking yourself a follower of Jesus – well – is this a magic left wing nut Jesus you made up or the actual Son Of God?
You might want to go through the Bible and pay attention to what he had to say.
Helping others and sharing is to come from one’s heart, not the govt gun.
You get opposition from conservatives because you advocate fascism – and we don’t like it.LikeLike

All incompassing comments which could be placed in any number of Dr. Rebane’s posts:
Looks like Red States understand the kitchen table issues of the electorate. Quality of Life issues start with a secure roof over your head, shelter from the rain. Shelter one can afford. Senator Chuckie from New York was right. The Dems should have fixed the economy first or at least spent a lot more time and strenous effort on the primary issue on people’s mind, rather than passing the Stimulus Stimu-pie in a few weeks and then moving on to Liberal wet dreams. Tell me again that over regulation has no effect on us here in the Golden State.

As far was the blight of Black America, it looks like Blue States take the cake. Throw out Bubba Willy’s purple Arkansas and The Jayhawk State and it becomes clear the Libs own the worst places for the Black Community. Funny, I thought it would be the Deep South or the gun toting places like Wyoming, Montana, the Dokatas, or Redneck Arizona. At least that was what we were led to believe.

The Beatitudes
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Peace, Tolerance, and Love are the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is 365 day a year commitment.LikeLike

BenE 1020am+ – Ben, you are a precious advocate for your beliefs. Christians today are persecuted in a hundred lands while Christianity is being and has been abandoned by more western nations than we can track. Yet there is no uprising of Christians and no ‘Christian response’ to counter or take revenge on the intolerant Muslims and their governments. All Christians do is bend over and turn a couple of more cheeks to be kicked.
Instead, our new non-Christian secular humanist governments are half-heartedly engaged with the Muslims. These governments have no philosophical bases to effectively counter people of faith willing daily to lay down their lives for their god. Instead our governments treat such Muslims as mere cyphers on the battlefield while showing misguided ‘sensitivities’ to the Muslims living among us.
Meanwhile, our leftwingers are delivering Christian beatitudes to those of us who recognize yet do not welcome the oncoming culture of the caliphate. I wonder, who among you are delivering such similar messages to Muslims, especially those who wantonly kill and to the Muslim multitudes who openly celebrate such killings.LikeLike
-
Not long ago human rights advocates asked the United Nations to investigate alleged killing of Christians in Africa. Eventually those in charge said it was merely ethnic cleansing. I seem to remember the same behavior in Germany was called Genecide.

“There is no moral difference between a stealth bomber and a suicide bomber. Both kill innocent people for political reasons.” Tony Benn
Until we understand this concept we will continue to kill at random and create enemies.LikeLike
-
The dead and buried hard left Labour MP Ben quotes (7:21AM) is essentially saying, with Ben’s hearty approval, that there is no moral difference between any military action ordered by the President of the US and the creation of a bunch of red goo that had been a schoolbus full of kids before a jihadist set off their bomb.
Way to go, Ben! That’s exactly the sort of moral standard I expect from you.LikeLike
-
Gregory — and so the murder of innocent bystanders by drones and ‘shock and awe’ is morally acceptable to you because it was done in the name of US interests? It seems that the jihadists have the same moral compass that you do, that is that murder is just fine as long as it is for a good political reason. Pretty disgusting, but nothing I wouldn’t expect from conservative chicken hawks.

The dimensions of difference between the Right and Left are many, and another is illustrated in BenE’s 721am as pointed out by Gregory’s 814am. What I want to add is that such differences between us go right down to what each side considers the norms of moral behavior and morality, all which rise from the totally different ways we look at and then see the world around us. Here BenE and JoeK’s 925am totally dismiss ‘intent’ as a factor in judging the morality of an action. A military action planned to destroy only a military target that also results in the death of innocent people, is judged morally equivalent to that of a homicide bomber who intends to kill as many innocents as possible since these are his prime targets.
That kind of thinking is now institutionalized in our government schools, and this example is a belief tenet of collectivists. As such, it also makes clear why the Left will never publicize a list of its belief tenets, because doing so would immediately expose them to the uninitiated as ranging from the reprehensible to the idiotic. (RR has a years long invitation to any leftist to offer a credo that is equivalent to the one posted here and expanded in numerous specifics on these pages. No one has yet stepped up to the plate, and I will be most surprised if anyone does.)LikeLike

Really JoKe…..sometimes you just crack me up!

Speak softly, and carry a big stick. In general, we don’t have enough of the former but that is not a reason to swear off big sticks.
George mentions intent, but I’d suggest accountability is on par. Terrorists are self appointed.LikeLike
-
“and so the murder of innocent bystanders by drones and ‘shock and awe’ is morally acceptable to you because it was done in the name of US interests?”
One of the boldest straw men you’ve constructed, JoKe, since I made no statement approving of the “murder of innocent bystanders”.
Was it immoral in the mind of JoKe to bomb Berlin in the campaign to end WWII in Europe?
If I am a “chicken hawk”, I may have been the only one carrying signs protesting our involvement in Iraq in the first place, back in the Desert Storm days. The two mistakes were 1) getting involved, and 2) doing it half-assed, not finishing the job, letting Saddam fester in place. GHW Bush and Bill Clinton share the blame for that one.LikeLike
-
re Gregory’s 959am – putting a finer point on it, so far only the ‘lone wolf’ ragheads are “self appointed”. The overwhelming number of homicide bombers are appointed by and issue from various well-formed Islamist organizations using terror as their current weapon to attack the west and their fellow Muslims not hewing to various ‘proper interpretations’. America seeks to hold these organizations accountable primarily through drone strikes that target their leaders. These strikes cannot be called counter-measures since there is little evidence that they have reduced the frequency, range, or lethality of such terror attacks, but such strikes have resulted in the unintended collateral deaths of the innocent.
While in the large Obama’s feckless foreign policy is mainly responsible for the marked spread of Islamist terror organizations over multiple continents during the years since we declared victory in Iraq and Afghanistan, the effectiveness of drone strikes is thereby confounded as part of that foreign policy.LikeLike
-
George, terrorist organizations are themselves self appointed, wielding terror against those who, in a democratic society, would be able to vote against them, and speak against them, without fear of a visit from their thugs in the middle of the night.
I stand by my original statement and its implicit extension to terrorist groups.LikeLike
-
Ben Emery and JoeK are consistent though. (I thought that was a view of conservatives by leftists). These two fellows also believe that a animal has the same rights as humans. So they are able to tell themselves they are superior. The binding factor for the “lone wolfs” is the Koran, Islam and 1400 years ot murdering those that don’t agree with Mohammed. So, to me they are not a lone wolf, they are a soldier of Islam, just murdering by themselves, sort of like a deranged sniper.
When we send a drone to take out a terrorist, the terrorist usually surrounds himself with innocents since he knows our values truly are superior. I don’t recall a Marine in Afghanistan or Iraq taking little kids and surrounding himself to discourage the head choppers. Do you Ben and Joe? Of course you both never answer our questions.LikeLike
-
If Ben or Joe were the ones with a knife to their throat kneeling in front of a video camera, ( or GOD forbid a close member of their kin,,) would their tune change?
Or would they prefer, ” Sorry for your bad luck” and no one does a damn thing.LikeLike
-
What the left refuses to believe is that EVIL exists and must be met with force. They think they can talk to Mohammed and he will listen. But as long as they do, the Islamist will have a steady supply of heads to chop off.

Todd and Walt — How are your scenarios any different than having your family blown up by a drone strike? What you don’t seem to get is the correlation between American military forays in the middle east and the rise of terrorism. They go hand in hand. Our actions keep creating more and more terrorists, which creates more military action, more terrorists, more action: on and on. One person’s terrorist is another person’s freedom fighter. It all depends on which side of the action you look at it from. No one in their right mind condones the slaughter that terrorists and radical islamists perpetrate. Just like no one in their right mind should condone the senseless killing of innocent civilians by our drones either. It’s all politics which is the dirtiest form of human endeavor there is regardless of which side you are on. All of these atrocities are because of political/religious beliefs which share the same trait: self-righteousness.

No JoeK, there is a world of difference between our drone program and the murders perped by these Koran reading killers. We are not fighting for a religion. They are. We send a drone strike to pinpoint as best possible the killers they blow everyone up. They surround themselves with kids and women to discourage our strikes, they chop heads off innocent people sent to help their [people. Sorry JoeK, you are just wrong and I am sure if these killers came for you and your family you would wish there was a drone to your rescue.

Joe.. As you put it ” if we just stop fighting people”.. Just what makes you think that will make the bad guys of the world just go away? Do explain that warped concept.
We pull ALL out armed forces home from around the world. Even N. Korea. What will happen?
Do tell.
Here’s a little hint. We got Ukraine to fork over their nukes, and we gave them our word we would protect them. “O” reneged on that promise. We have hung them out to dry, and at Putin’s mercy. The Russians even shot down a civilian airliner with no repercussions.
Yet the fighting over there continues. Now word has it, Putin is going to ramp things up.
So much for our agreement in protecting Ukraine.
Just think what will happen elsewhere. The Middle East is in worse shape than ever thanks to “your” line of thinking. We pulled out of Iraq,, and ISIS moved in. Happy?LikeLike

“Peace, Tolerance, and Love are the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is 365 day a year commitment.”
So – no govt control of wages and prices? Where does Jesus command that?
Love involves discipline. The way I raised our children. The way that God raises us.
The peace that Jesus taught was the peace of the soul that comes from the sure knowledge of eternal life with God. He instructed his disciples to arm themselves with a sword. Tolerance was not tolerance of anything. Jesus was extremely INtolerant of a lot of what he observed. Ben indeed enjoys the made up left wing nut Jesus that does not match all of what Jesus commanded. Believe it all, Ben and stop cherry picking out of context.LikeLike

JoeK 500pm – Islam is the only religion that still has huge cohorts of believers and millions of ‘moderate’ supporters who believe and exercise the dictum of ‘Accept Allah or die!’ World dominating Islam proudly declares its inability to coexist with any other belief system – their belief is in Allah and their marching orders are in the Quran.
Since it is they who claim and demonstrate daily that our two civilizations are incompatible to coexist on the same planet, to what extent are you willing to compromise with those ragheads?LikeLike

A paradox was been unearthed. Ben Holder, Mr. Koyote, and most on the farther Lefty side of the aisle judge themselves by their intentions, while we on the Righty side judge them by results. They say within themselves concerning most social issues that their intentions are good, moral, just, compassionate, and fair which out weights the unintended harm, consequences, and utter failures. The lovely adage “The road to hell is paved with good intentions” comes to mind.
The paradox? Now the lefties are judging us on the Right on the results, not our intentions. A dead Muslim child is a dead Muslim child no matter how you cut it. We say our military would never seek out innocence civilians with drone strikes as the primary target (our intentions), while the Peace Movement points to the results (dead kids).
Guess we all put the most favorable light on ourselves and point to our intentions while we are judged by our actions and results by the other side. Cuts both ways. The Chamberlin Syndrome.
How can one be pro abortion on demand and anti-death penalty? Conversely, how can one be anti-abortion and pro death penalty. The paradoxes.LikeLike

A few words from the Diplomad on our Dear Leader:
As readers of this blog know, I have little to no regard for the current occupant of the White House. I see him as the most ignorant, uncultured in every sense of the word, and destructive President in the long history of our now much beleagured Republic. As far as I can tell, what thoughts he has are shaped by some superficial reading and understanding of Marxist-tinged tracts and slogans, the classic progressive disdain for America and its achievements, and a strong sense of entitlement, all glued together with a mighty dollop of Chicago-style race and class politics. He has little to no understanding of America or of the world. His speeches are loosely linked bumper sticker slogans, progressive fantasies, and, frankly, just lies. He has no concept of leadership or management, having never had a real job in the real world. He relies on a political base made up of an elite of America-haters, and a mass of low-information dolts who also think in bumper sticker terms–many of these dolts products of our decrepit “higher” educational system. He, however, is what we’ve got as President: a sad, sad day for America and those around the world who believe in and struggle for freedom.
