[What a bunch of journalistic wimps are the lamestream media.  Already famous for their selective censoring of news which conflicts with their fragile ideology, they now show that they cannot even tolerate a smidgeon of balanced views with NBC hiring and then firing former RNC head Ronna McDaniel when their vaunted cadres of woke talking heads became hysterical at the thought of sharing airtime with a conservative.  You really must have vacuum between your ears to let outlets like that be your news source.  gjr]

Maybe go ask Xi to bail us out?

Why would he do that……he can pick and choose the good stuff and at “fire sale” prices! Leave the shit behind!
I imagine that right now Punchy™ is taking up that old smoking habit in an attempt to check out before the party ends!

Xi has his own currency problems.

Yeah – I was being way sarcastic about Xi bailing us out. Right now it’s a race to the bottom with all the major industrial powers. The details for each country are somewhat different but the common denominator is the idea that you can “fix” the problem with your country’s central bank (our Fed) by manipulating the currency.

As 0 said creepy grampa joe can be relied on to fuck things up –
The poll also found that Trump had an advantage over Biden among Hispanic voters by a margin of 39% to 34% and voters under the age of 35 by a margin of 37% to 33%.
A New York Times/Siena College poll released last month showed Trump ahead of Biden among Hispanic voters 46% to 40%. The survey also found Trump has the support of 23% of Black voters.
Carville said Democrats must make the argument that the “consequences” of electing Trump to serve a second four-year term will impact young Black and Hispanic Americans for the next 35 years.
“We’re not going to convince under-30, under-35, ‘Oh, we really built a great country for you,’” he said. “You’re looking at this job market… I don’t think you’re going to buy that.”

1984 couldn’t even have imagined this insanity –
NOW said – “Repeat after us: Weaponizing womenhood against other women is white supremacist patriarchy at work. Making people believe there isn’t enough space for trans women in sports is white supremacist patriarchy at work,” the post read.
This response faced swift backlash, particularly for women athletes advocate Riley Gaines, who helped file the lawsuit.
“I’ve never seen so many oppression buzzwords in one sentence. Apparently, advocating for fair sport makes me a white supremacist. I wonder if my attorney will agree. (in case you were wondering, NOW stands for National Organization of Women lol),” the host of Outkick’s Gaines for Girls podcast wrote.
NOW’s post later received a Community Note claiming that transgender athletes are barred from competing in sports.
“Transwomen are still able to compete in the category of their birth sex or an Open category, they are not excluded from sport. World Aquatics prohibits anyone who has undergone any part of male puberty from entering the Female category,” the note read, citing the World Aquatics policy from March.
“Holy crap, the National Organization for Women says wanting women’s sports to be made up of women is ‘white supremacist patriarchy at work,’
Townhall.com columnist Brad Slager mocked, “You posted this a day early, but I’m RTing on April Fools so people see your joke.”
“I can’t believe I worked here when I was in college. I’m embarrassed for you. The patriarchy is telling women to sit down and shut up and accept whatever unfairness and invasion of privacy is hurled their way,”
“When the most prominent women’s rights organization tells women to sit down and shut up so that a group of entitled men can appropriate women’s identities for their own benefit, the group has devolved into a men’s rights organization. Shaming women for speaking out is the very definition of bigoted supremacist patriarchy. Stop gaslighting women.”
Independent Women’s Forum spokesperson Paula Scanlan asked, “’White supremacist patriarchy’ I advocate for these things as a mixed race person and I have an immigrant mother. Why is this ALWAYS about race?”

Hey look Wisconsin votes to ban zuckbucks that the ponytail of ignorance said never happened. ROFLOL –
Wisconsin voters will approve election law changes championed by Republicans, CNN projects
The vote to ban the use of private money in election administration marks a victory for conservative activists who have denounced what they have called “Zuckerbucks,” the money that Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, donated to a nonprofit that ultimately helped administrators around the country carry out the 2020 election
But opponents have argued the money helped Democratic turnout that year – particularly in the state’s largest cities – and unfairly shaped the 2020 election outcome as Wisconsin flipped from Donald Trump to Joe Biden.
Biden won Wisconsin by fewer than 21,000 votes that year.
Wisconsin voters on Tuesday are also projected to approve a separate constitutional amendment that would allow only officials designated by state law to administer elections. Proponents said it was needed to guard against outside consultants participating in the process.

    Zuckerbucks and election administration.
That’s interesting. Another one of those cases where one man’s voter fraud is another man’s smart dealing.
It’s just an evolutionary system where people will find a new way to get what they want. It seems to me that if you get enough ‘activists’ appointed/elected to positions at pressure points….district attorneys, judges, clerk-recorder offices, school boards, etc….you can hit above your weight. Orange Hitler will always have the problem of lacking control of a bureaucracy with it’s leash firmly on the US public’s neck.
I suppose that the primary problem is not one party or the other’s ability to run the Big Machine, but that government has wormed it’s way into every little aspect of your life. It was always somewhat crooked, but a yeoman farmer in days of yore barely ran into it’s machinations.

Pop open Der Union, and you get:
“Trump as dictator? It’s not out of the realm of possibility”
    up next.
“Trump cures cancer? It’s not out of the realm of possibility”
“Trump as two-headed space alien? It’s not out of the realm of possibility”
Just more proof of the death of newspapers. National columnists are expensive, better to get local writers who (a)get their news from reading online clickbait from their easy chair (b)have no personal knowledge of the things they write about (c)have no sources with personal knowledge of the things they write about.
It’s all just feelz-based nonsense where people write any old thing, and probably stupider than any barroom harangue you’ll hear as it’s written in an intellectual one-man echo chamber. Solipsism-based opinion.
At least there’s always the NYT crossword once the stupid fades from your eyeballs. Unfortunately, the Wednesday puzzle is too easy.

    From USA Today-
“State Sen. Brandon Creighton, a Republican, warned Texas university system administrators last week about the state’s expectations for higher education institutions to comply with Senate Bill 17, an anti-DEI law that went into effect in January. Now, the University of Texas at Austin has laid off at least 60 staff members who previously worked in DEI-related positions.
The decision is yet another escalation in the mounting attacks on programs that benefit marginalized groups in higher education.”
It’s a start. Unfortunately, the article didn’t mention ‘conservatives’ as a marginalized group. They are outnumbered on many campuses by liberals at 5:1 to 15:1.

Dunno how ‘progressive’ philosophy moved from feeding the poor to normalizing and promoting fetish life as it’s Prime Directive, but we live in the world we find ourselves in. I figure that the large-breasted transgender attorney would make the perfect political officer for the Nevada City Fightin’ 420th when we go to war with Russia now that Anthony Blinken has decided that’s just the thing to do. There’ll be a war bond effort next to the Nevada Theater hosted by local miscreants.

I guess ol’ Lee Greenwood had a bunch of Bibles he couldn’t get rid of them so he hired the Hucksterable to move them, LOL!
“The “God Bless the USA” Bible
In May 2021, to commemorate the 2001 attack on the World Trade Centre, Greenwood published the “God Bless the USA” edition of the Bible. It has the U.S. flag on its leather cover and includes the texts of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Pledge of Allegiance, and the chorus of “God Bless the USA” in Greenwood’s handwriting.[19] The text of the Bible was intended to be the New International Version,[20] but Zondervan, the division of HarperCollins that owns the rights to the New International Version, withheld them rather than associate Christianity with U.S. nationalism, and it used the King James Version, which is in the public domain in the United States.[21] It created further controversy in 2024 when former president Donald Trump promoted a new edition of it.” – Wiki
