Listen up, folks – ‘inflation’ is the name we give to the reduced actual value of the dollar.
It usually causes increased prices for the same goods and services, but it is not the same as increased prices of a commodity such as coffee because of a failed coffee bean crop. Oh, good Lord – if anyone out there wants to know the essence of Sam Harris, I would recommend this pod cast. The host bends over backwards to throw bones to him, but he keeps contradicting himself in his own words. He claims that “conversation’ is the hope and salvation of mankind, but he won’t debate people on certain topics because of reasons that he invents.
He won’t debate the govt’s covid response because it’s a “moving target”. He admits the CDC “shaded” the truth but claims he has the moral high ground because – wait for it – “what if”. Yes – he openly invents a reality and then claims the invented reality justifies his refusal to discus an immensely important topic of reality. Remember that Sam Harris is regarded as an important intellectual figure and yet he is just a huge fraud.
I can not imagine W F Buckley refusing to debate any important topic for any reason. Agree with him or not, he would stand and deliver. Deliver us from those who will not stand up in public and give rational reason for their side of the argument.
