   Here’s some background to the intent some of the organizers of the Jan 6 protest that Trump urged his supporters to attend. This was published in Newsweek. Trump intents to pardon most of those convicted of similar crimes on Jan 6.

   “Investigative Research and Analysis Report” (21-TD-159) highlighted a posting on the now-defunct blog thedonald.win which referenced tunnels on Capitol grounds used by Members of Congress (and particularly important for continuity of government evacuations). The report attached an underground map of the Capitol campus that was posted onllne. “There are tunnels connected to the Capitol Building! Legislators use them to avoid press, among other things! Take note,” the blog posted.
   The intelligence report then went to flag “several comments promote confronting members of Congress and carrying firearms during the protest.” The report contained approximately 30 screen shots of comments on the thedonald.win website, including:
   “Bring guns. It’s now or never.”
   “Surround every building with a tunnel entrance/exit. They better dig a tunnel all the way to China if they want to escape.”
   “Exactly, forget the tunnels. Get into Capitol Building, stand outside congress. Be in the room next to them. They wont [sic] have time [to] run if they play dumb.”
   “Deploy [sic] Capitol Police to restrict [their] movement. Anyone going armed needs to be mentally prepared to draw down on LEOs. Let them shoot first, but make sure they know what happens if they do.”
   “If they don’t show up, we enter the Capitol as the Third Continental Congress and certify the Trump Electors.”
   “If a million patriots who [sic, show] up bristling with AR’s [AR-15 rifles], just how brave do you think they’ll be when it comes to enforcing their unconstitutional laws? Don’t cuck out. This is do or die.
   “Bring your guns.”

Over 98% of wildfires are human-caused. Human ignitions coupled with an increasing amount of nonnative, fire-prone grasses and shrubs and a warming, drying climate have greatly increased the wildfire problem.”
    The Green argument:
    Kaniela Ing, national director for the Green New Deal Network and an Indigenous leader in Hawaii, said the wildfires offer further proof of a dangerous climate emergency.
    “We need legislation that is as bold and urgent as the scale of the wildfires choking Hawaii and Canada, the heatwaves suffocating Texas, and the extreme flooding drowning Europe,” said Ing, a former state legislator in Hawaii. “How many more lives lost or families displaced in communities like mine is President Biden willing to tolerate before he declares a climate emergency and activates politicians to take further climate action?”
    He didn’t mention shooting arsonists on sight, which would significantly reduce most of the wildfires. Or tearing up the non-native grasses, planted decades ago after the many farms and ranches were sold off for vacation properties.
    Note – the weather on Hawaii moves from the NE to the SW, not from W to E as in most of the 48 states. The weather is wet when it enters from the NE (it only has 2000 miles of OCEAN to gather the water from), rises over the lava-based mountains, (duh – the Hawaiian Islands weren’t dredged up by the Chinese you know) dropping its water. So the islands are dry in their western regions (where Lahaina is located on Maui). The western parts have always been drier than the eastern parts.
    But the Green’s arguments always are ‘better’ for the Dems.
