   “Define “they paid the Biden’s billions?…”
   Never wrote that, but after Stupidity has gone through 3 bottles of Boone’s Farm, his vision isn’t the greatest.
   Yes, it does look like the plea deal fell through, but don’t worry – The Big Guy will make sure the family is pardoned.
   It’s hilarious to watch the left cling to the idea that Joe isn’t in on the whole deal. Otherwise, why would anyone pay Hunter a dime?
   Does Stupidity care to comment on the new, new, WH line that changed from “Joe never discussed business with Hunter” to “Joe never was in business with Hunter”.
   When you lie, it’s hard to keep the story straight.

    So now the Conservative Wall Street Journal has flipped on Trump and is encoraging others to do the same.
    “If Mr. Trump sought to destroy evidence, it undercuts his defense on the document charges. He contends that the Presidential Records Act gives him the right to retain documents from his time in office. But if Mr. Trump believed that, he would have played it straight,” the editors made a strong case that GOP lawmakers should be furious with the former president for what he has put them through for years now.
    “Republicans should also be angry at Mr. Trump, who is again the architect of his own destruction. He led the GOP to defeats, many of them driven by his personal grievances, in 2018, 2020, 2021 and 2022. Add his Covid performance, the Jan. 6 riot, a $5 million civil jury verdict for sexual abuse, plus now a truly stupid alleged Mar-a-Lago coverup,” they wrote before continuing, “Yet Mr. Trump still expects the GOP will save him from his own recklessness by nominating him for the White House a third time.     Spoken like a true never-Trumper. Consider if the Rs had once again run a mush-mouth sorta-conservative like Romney against Clinton. Consider the Supreme Court we would have if she had won.

    Really? It turns out he was practically the only one in DC who had it right. He was for getting people back to work and getting the schools opened back up. The Jan 6th riot was not on him. He never stoked violence and had tried to arrange for extra security that Pelosi turned down. The civil suit was a joke from the start.
    Trump is his own worst enemy at times, but consider the unreal and totally political legal assault he has been under since he won. A stupid cover-up? Covering up a non-crime. It may have been stupid and clumsy but many other pols have done worse and the nation just shrugs. At this point his legal fees are punishment enough for his stupid acts.
    The only thing Rs should be mad about is that the Justice Dept and the SS and the IRS are corrupt and the DC blob protects it.

    Many moons ago when I watched the tele, I came across Mayor of Oakland doing an on the street of interview. Quite candid, no nonsense, and lengthy.
    Jerry was stating the problem clearly as he saw it as Oakland’s mayor after his first term as moonbeam/sleep on peanut shells Governor of The Great State of California.
    Problem is simple. They are releasing these criminals from prison right back on Oakland’s streets. There it is, there is the problem with Oakland. Criminals being released back in the neighborhoods from which they came.
    More that one public official, be they local pr state, change their tune when promoted to higher office of the Presidential Administration. The first woman governor of Arizona comes to mind. She sued the Presidential Administration for the cost to her state for arresting and detaining illegal aliens. Oh, she raised a big fuss over the issue. Hey, we need some help and m-o-n-e-y down her to do your job. That Governor was non other than every illegal in CA gets a free education, including institutions at the collegiate level.
    Her name is Janet Ann Napolitano. One of many.

    Both sides had huddled on this deal for months. Both sides knew exactly what was in the entire agreement. The immunity from further prosecution is normally (as in ALWAYS) never put into the drug diversion part of the agreement. The govt lawyer admitted to this in court.
    And of course, the ostrich defense:
    “I have yet to see any evidence that Joe Biden used his office to help his son in any kind of substantive way.”
    And he will continue to “not see” any evidence every chance he gets.
