[Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson of SCOTUS has confirmed that her career advancements have been based on ‘Section 8’ promotions. Her dissent from last week's ruling against racial preferences in college admissions demonstrates both her gullibility and overall ignorance (terminally innumerate). In there she argues for benefits of diversity in education, and presents a preposterous example of black infant survival rates under black physicians (here). It reminds me of the congressman, a few years back, who warned of a Pacific island with a military base on it tipping over because we were stationing too many troops there. Talk about our republic suffering its slings and arrows from elected officials and promoted bureaucrats. gjr]

Honest in the sense that he might truly believe that Trump is truly evil and was solely responsible for things that happened in those years. It’s nonsense, but then people actually believe nonsense. That’s how God makes activists.

Given that humans are a pretty recent version of tailless primate, with all the terrible social habits, hygiene issues, and general chicanery of the breed, I’d say he’s about as real as it gets.

Based on Boardmans comment (the one that Gregory mentioned I imagine he heard something) I’d guess that Bill has either passed or is in (what’s the name of that hospice center up there) hospice.

That boredman fool is as popular as creepy grampa joe –
At this point in his term — about 910 days in — Joe Biden is the second-most-unpopular president in modern U.S. history. As of July 18, Biden’s average job-approval rating, according to the poll aggregators at FiveThirtyEight, is a paltry 39.1%; his average disapproval rating is 55.4%. That means his “net approval rating” is -16.3%, which is well “underwater,” as pollsters like to say.
Negative 16.3% is also really bad historically speaking. In fact, the only president with weaker numbers than Biden was Jimmy Carter, who hit -28.6% on day 910. At the time, just 29% of Americans approved of Carter’s performance on average, while 57.6% disapproved.

Dr. Rebane and all.
I didn’t give the docs and experts much to work with, but I am still alive. Even vertical.
Well, first of all, my COPD (which is progressive, irreversible and pre-existing) has done its fine job of wiping out the bronchial area. Excellent job.
2nd, I have not felt good since around Nov 29, 1922. I stayed home and did not see a doctor, got some on-line San Fransisco female doctor to proscribe me antibiotics for the pneumonia I had (I had pneumonia 3 times in my life somI know what it is), cleared that up but still I did not feel better. So, I sat and sat waiting to feel better. In the meantime I lost the ability to read as the focus on words became too difficult to undertake.
Finally, on April 18, 2023 or so I went to the ER at our local hospital thinking I could some kind of script and come home in a few hours. The reason I went to the ER was I had been coughing up blood for the last 5 days. Not just blood 🩸 in my phlegm all watered down, but blood as thick as catsup blood.
At the ER, they decided to keep me overnight in the hospital for testing. Ok, whatever. They found a “mass” at the bottom of my left lung but could not tell if it was malignant.
First, I was suffocating myself to death as I could not get enough oxygen in my system. So, they had to solve that problem of a pre-existing A-fib heart. So, they got that solved or I would die.
Then the bleeding was coming from the bottom of my left lung and they had to stop the bleeding or I would die.
What started off as a 2 hour job to see if the mass was malignant turned into a 6 hour surgery to fix stuff in way….or I die. Sounds so dramatic. Technically it was a survey with docs and staff wearing the full dead to toe PPE in full surgical outfits, so it was a surgery in definition only.
So, I have small cell cancer contain to the left lung. Or should say my small cell cancer was contained to the bottom of left lung until it moved up to the very top of the lung and stopped at the bronchial passage where left meets the right lung. Since then the cancer as moved across the passage and entered my right lung and stopped exactly were a new pain was knocking the crap out of me. During this time I lost the ability to walk, speak without being exhausted, and think clearly. My mind entered the Cancer Fog or Chemo Fatigue stage where my reality is not reality at all. Oh, what I see and feel and experience is quite real, but only to me and not reality. Not reality, just my reality which is far from true reality.
Anyway, I have been through the heart ward, the lung ward, ICU, and the Cancer ward and each one is different. I have personally witnessed turf wars between the nurses of each ward saying that’s not our job to do this or that as I lay in the middle of these wars without getting treatment.
Oh, full stop. I am talking only about my transfer to Mercy San Juan hospital in Carmichael and not Sierra Nevada Hospital, both owned by Dignity Health. I have only praise for the men and woman in our local hospital and outpatient Cancer ward at Our local Dignity hospital. I am still in it up here so all I will say is the local health care service is better that my wildest expectations and in all my years I have NEVER been treated better for anything in my entire live!! Fantastic, bravo, kudos.
Hey, what else am going to say ? I still am seeing these people and refuse to throw anyone locally under the bus. Only an idiot would do that! Maybe later, but not today. 🙂
Back up. I was sitting in the local hospital waiting for the next step. The doctors here did not me to wait 3 days for the next available surgeon (Memorial Day Weekend) and felt some urgent need to continue to move forward and not have me sit for 3 days around here. So these wonderful ambulance drives entered my room, and wheeled me out in 2 minutes or less. So now I was in Mercy San Juan in Carmichael (where ever Carmichael is) and a surgeon could do something or another at 6pm. Well, that fell through as well as daytime the second day…and I sat there for 3 and a half days, lol. Finally my lung dude said fuck you guys, I will do it myself, and sure enough he came to my room and did it right there. A procedure that is unheard of doing in a patience’s room. I have two of those now….things that are unheard of doing in a patient’s room.
I liked ICU the best. They are so anal about bacteria hiding anywhere that the militant nurses threw me down and pulled off my underwear and ripped off my hospital gowns and bedding (if they did not see the new bedding and gown I was wearing/arrived in or know for certain where that bedding/gown came from, could not be trusted. No underwear in ICU. And no modesty. So they are poking around my butt crack washing it throughly when I felt a warm washcloth cleaning my balls. Felt good. Nice warm cleaning of the nut sack felt rather nice. Very nice indeed. I like ICU. 🙂
Let’s see. Today I have third Chemo shot at the outpatient Cancer ward followed by a trip to Radiology for some Cat-Scan or something and have the wound care folks coming to clean my asshole with nice warm cloths to check on bed sore on bottom that has developed via my loss (temporary) for the ability to walk or go anywhere with my cute little oxygen tanks.
To back it all up, there was not a doctor or specialist in the entire facilities of Sierra Nevada Memorial or that huge mega complex know as Mercy San Juan that thought I would ever ever make it out of the hospital alive. Not a one, except one guy, the guru of Chemo OFFERED a way to slow down the small cell (the other less common and trickiest and fastest spreading of all the cancers) might slow it down long enough so I could get out and get my affairs in order….but even he offered no guarantees.
So, on June 8, 2023, with two top specialists (lung dude, cancer top dog and one very unusual and persistent doctor) gathered together to meet and were discussing me and whispering something about me) when I stood up, was put in a wheelchair and walked out of the hospital alive. They were astonished, so astonished that one (lung specialist) mouth was agape, the three of them just stared at me and shook their heads as if they had witnessed a miracle. THEY DID. They bloody well did witness a miracle.
So my little trip up to the ER to get a script to coughing up 🩸 lasted from April 18 or so to June 8, 2023. Oh,I was back in the hospital last week as they though there was a blood clot in my right lung (partially diminished as opposed to the totally diminished left lung), but it turned out not be a blood clot at all. It was just the cancer, stupid. That test was taken in a place where the plaque was dedicated to Dr. George Rebane and Jo Anne Rebane for the Infusion Center. Got about 5 trips to there this week and next week alone. Thank you Dr. Rebane and Jo Anne for the ward. Nice folks that work there, but they do not wash my balls with a warm damp cloth. Oh well. 🙂
More to be revealed……the miracles that opened doors and the old acquaintances that have dropped everything, disrupting their own lives and moved in the back room to care for me 24/7 and be by my side has been….well, it’s another miracle. On friend I have not seen since around ‘88, a old third grade pal who said God put it in his heard to drop everting and be with Bill, and he left only after his replacement showed up, my ex-wife and husband who have moved into the back room to care for me and be my by side until death so us part….for fun and for free.
This wretched soul is much loved and undeserving of such outpouring of love. Even had an old acquaintance from high school fly in from Vancouver, BC just to spend and hour with me. God has been rich in mercy. My reading ability has come back just as I lost the ability to left one foot two inches. It’s all temporary.
Now, excuse me while I finish getting my affairs in order. Oh, the best thing I have read on RR was the story of something as a distraction. Great story…but I forgot what it is about. It’s the cancer, stupid.
I never was as dead as I look.

I do wonder sometimes what would be a good use of money, lacking children but having some means.
Maybe the thing to do is to pay to store statues of Founding Fathers, military heroes and the like in a cave system somewhere and wait for the Zombie Apocalypse to pass. Our AI Overlords might provide greater care for them in the future sometime. Saint Leibowitz had a decent idea, but I’m not certain what the best format for archiving the knowledge of the not-crazy world might be. If nothing else, I fear the bowdlerizing or flat-out memory-holing of anything the Progressive Storm of Locusts finds irritating.
A good question. Is it more useful to aid the present? or to future-proof the past? (throwing money at a Great Books program would be a low-effort way to do the latter, fer instance).

Okay….preliminaries first! Technically you have not passed and I get partial credit for saying you were in hospice. Second what the hell do you mean (“where ever Carmichael is”)? Carmichael, the where and what of it is where I lived when I embarked upon my decade long (I guess you fuckers grew on me) tirade at Rebanes. Carmichael, is what the fattest and snobbiest Chief of the Internet saw fit to denigrate merely because I was posting there. Funny…. though if he’d only waited five more years most of his bitches would have been closer to the mark as Carmichael has become the dumping ground for every neer-do-well, screw up, and pants shitting indigent in a 50 mile radius of Sacramento County.
Your story is so much better than mine too. Mine was chemo-chemo-chemo-chemo, fall down and crack my skull in the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant, spend three weeks in Neuro ICU (Sutter for me….and I appreciate them as much as you appreciate Mercy) followed by relearning how to cut my toenails and taking a good 45 minutes to finally do it at the rehab facility in Roseville (afterwards I was drenched in sweat, had a serious case of the shakes and followed up with a two hour nap).
The Neuro Unit was good enough to go into my brain case with an ice cream scoop and scoop out the interesting parts (wonder if the posting since reflects that) and left me for a time with sutures in a pattern looking very much like the pattern you see on a regulation baseball. My younger brother, wag that he is suggested that I have “SPALDING” tattooed on the side of my skull to accompany the stitching!
I will miss you! You are truly one of a kind! And since they say you never really “cure” cancer save me a seat on the other side (I’ll see if I can smuggle in some beer when St. Peter has his back turned)….I’ll see you in a short while and we can catch up!
Anyway…I need to call Sutter and find out why nobody bothered to wash my balls with a warm washcloth!

Lawfare is a pretty amazing thing to behold. While I feel sorry for the folks who’ll get pauperized (paperized?) in legal fees, in the grand scheme of things it’s probably good for people to see what they’re really up against. Any wrongthinkers who don’t view Progressives as a threat to their livelihood, freedom (including physical), safety, are being foolish in the extreme. People who feel like pushing back really need to consider the actual risks involved. The rules really are different for the two sides.

Given how out of it Biden seems, and he was never the sharpest tool in the shed, it’s funny how little detail comes out about who is running the show. I simply don’t read much about it, although there are bound to be warring factions within the White House.
It may well be that MSM has a hands-off policy on that kind of reporting, not unlike FDR or JFK’s disabilities, but I would think that I’d have run into Team Red news sites. Weird.

“Lawfare” says it.
In the fog of the election, there’s very little time before one can act. These folk are being charged for signing their name to a document about a month after election “day” and a month until the Senate will tally the results.
Punchy is excited about more Republicans being charged as the 2024 contest starts moving. Yee

So as a Libertarian you support the “alternative electors” Gregory and think it’s Constitutional.

There have always been alternative election protocols, Punch. It’s in the Constitution so if an election fails, there is still a way to move forward.
I approve of that not as a Libertarian but as an American.
I get it, though… you see an opening for lawfare against people who voted wrongly.

And Punch… at this moment… all of the folks charged are innocent. Yes? Not a single uncontested guilty verdict.
Here’s more to think about:

Of course.
None of this has anything to do with what is moral, but is simply the 2024 election at work.
There’s a purty good chance that D. Trump will get his nomination I think and there’ll be no holds barred in stopping him. Like the last 100 things that have been tried, it’s just more of the same, but it’s going to intensify. After all, if Pres. Trump is a thing again, a lot of these executive branch people have a real problem.
There probably won’t be too many heads on spikes, but it’s all the kind of power politics a Venetian Doge or a Roman Consul would recognize.
I think a Trump win is fairly unlikely, a lot can go wrong, but the result would be amazing. Just imagine how many buildings the Democrats would burn down this time around.

Here’s a quote from your 5:47 link “The 538 electors that make up the Electoral College are directly elected by their respective states. ”
Are you contending the fake electors charged in Michigan were “directly elected”. If not how were they chosen?
