[RCP numbers just out on Bumblebrain’s overall approval rating – drumroll please – 25% approve, 61% disapprove. This is lowest approval rating ever for an American president. We have a few select readers who should take special note of this rating on arguably the most incompetent and worst performing president the republic has ever suffered under. And then to demonstrate once more the intellectual capacity of Democrat politicians, Sen Maggie Hassan (D-NH) announced from the Senate floor that she doesn’t have to suffer high fuel costs, because she drove from New Hampshire to DC in her EV, and didn’t have to worry about stopping at any gas station charging astronomically high fuel prices. You see, charging your EV batteries is free, and that’s how you fight inflation. Reminds me of the Dem congressman who was worried at a committee hearing that a Pacific island would “tip over” if too many of our troops were stationed on a military base there. gjr]

PaulE 130pm – There is nothing “new” about the incumbent administration staying in office until Congress resolves the result of the past election. And there should have been no concern with delaying the transfer of power were Congress to eventually certify the Nov 2020 election. Now we know that the country would have benefited significantly by delaying the onset of the destructive policies of Bumblebrain and his battalion of double dummies.
ScottO 311pm – And Paul was already given the answer in my 1135am. Apparently more repetitions are needed.

I thought Liz Cheney was a conservative. Heritage action gives her a score of 87% Jim Jordon was turned down because he was a likely witness. He was, as a matter of fact, asked to testify but he refused.

Paul 4:40 – You’re pissing all over your own shorts again, dude. It is a fact that Pelosi broke with the rules and openly refused to let the minority leader nominate his choices to the panel. It’s never happened before. Pelosi threw Jordan off after she saw he was going to actually investigate instead of cover up.
Liz Cheney hates Trumps guts and is as ‘conservative’ as David Brooks. Saying that Jordon couldn’t be on the panel because he would have to testify is ridiculous. Funny how they didn’t seem to care that he wouldn’t testify. That was a sop for morons like you.
And we continue to notice you can’t answer simple questions that are put to you.

So you are claiming Liz Cheney is not a Conservative Scott. If that’s true why did she receive an 87% rating from Heritage Action.
Also her opposition for the Republican nomination in 2022, Harriet Hageman, endorsed her 2016 campaign and wrote this:
“I know that Liz Cheney is a proven, courageous, constitutional conservative, someone who has the education, the background and experience to fight effectively for Wyoming on a national stage. There have been and will continue to be concerted efforts to force true conservatives to sit down and shut up. Those efforts have never worked on me and I know that they will not work on and have no effect on Liz Cheney.”

Paul – you’ve gone from declaring Trump the leader and instigator of an insurrection to quibbling over whether or not Liz Cheney is a conservative.
I’ll give you credit for having the energy to haul the goal post all over the field and out into the parking lot but it still boils down to you being a useful tool for the Dems with their cover up of what happened on Jan 6th.
What kind of ‘investigation’ starts off with their ‘finding’ at the start? What kind of investigation severely limits what evidence is allowed?
You refuse to answer my pertinent questions because they expose you as nothing more than a know-nothing tool of the Dems.
The mid terms are coming and the American voter is pissed to the teeth with the Dems and their so-called ‘leadership’. Running up energy costs was the idiot move of the century. These ‘hearings’ about a protest that some of the participants turned into a violent riot are ancient history. There was no insurrection or any serious threat to any govt official beyond the police who were not given adequate warning or resources by the the Dem leadership for obvious reasons. The more you want to have people look into this the worse you and the Dems look.
Keep it up.

Well, on the hottest day and peak of the Heat Alert Days, you decided to finally give off your duff and put in an attic ladder? Holy smokes, man….er…never mind. I have done the same. Probably a 120+ up there about now. But, glad you finally got a place to throw some important boxes you never look at but can’t toss for various reasons and a needed place to stuff the stuff…..or….are you making yourself a place to stay? In the dog house again? :).
I know, you will be under the attic most of the time installing the ladder where it is so much cooler and all the dust and stuff falling down in your face and all…. A nice three day weekend job. It will be cooler tomorrow….but not much. Anytime is the best time when the mood strikes.

Gregory 1140am – Actually, it would have been a historical first. The 1824 election could not have been subject to congressional certification, presided over by the sitting VP, since it didn’t satisfy the constitutional requirement of electoral majority (Jackson only obtained electoral plurality), and therefore the election’s result had to be resolved in the House by putting the presidential candidates up to a vote by the representatives. There was no opportunity for the VP to rule against certification as there was on 6 January 2021.
Koyote 1104am – what law would Pence have broken by denying certification as I described in my 1257pm? Are you claiming that electoral certification is by law or constitutional stricture a preordained kabuki theater?

Gregory 1224pm – Yep, you may be right, and that would expand the legitimate contingencies of Pence’s now hypothetical 6jun21 certification denial. However, your two-step process still would have differed from the one that actually happened pursuant to the 1824 election. Perhaps, we’ll get to relive the whole thing in 2025. In any event, the Left’s assertion that the only legal outcome of the 6jun21 conclave was certification of the electoral votes as presented is utter bullshit. Trump was/is right that Pence didn’t have to accept the presented electoral votes. But that assertion is independent of whether the subsequent sequence of events would have changed the election’s outcome as accepted that January by most powers that be.

Here’s some observations on Tuesdays election.
I award to Calvin Clark the Lose like Trump Award for the most pathetic election effort. He lost to Sue Hoek in the conservative District 4 Supervisor race by a historic, in recent times margin with his opponent winning 84% of the vote and Clark with a pathetic 15.68% of votes counted so far. . Not only that his so called Supes recall effort failed to even qualify. And if that’s not enough his attempts to support Jason Tedder for Clerk Recorder showed Tedder losing to current Assistant Clerk-Recorder Natalie Adona by a huge margin-69 to 22% as of yesterdays vote counts.
That’s a legacy as a loser that will be tough to beat in the future.

With The Union in the can for Adona, that race was a fait accompli, starting with the biased coverage of the office kerfuffle and the hearing that followed.

Here is the link to a pre-print paper (4/19/22, non-peer reviewed yet) that seeks to answer your question.
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2022.04.18.22271936v1#:
If you naturally acquire the Wuhan virus, your immune system makes anti-bodies to the ENTIRE virus – the main body (nucleocapsid) + the spike proteins attached to the main body. When you get the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines, your immune system makes anti-bodies only to the spike protein, not the entire virus body, because that was how the vaccine was designed.
So it seems that we smart humans figured that the stupid virus ONLY infects through its spiky-proteins on the virus surface. Reality many times differs from theory. At least until we work on the theory part for a couple decades.
To re-cap – it seems that throughout human history until 2 years ago, when you got infected by a bug, your immune system tried to make anti-bodies to the entire bug. If your body made enough of the right kind of anti-bodies, then you lived another day. If your immune system was deficient for any reason, you probably died. Be patient, we just started this voluntary vaccination process to fight this new germ (aren’t they all?). What could go wrong?
Wait – did I say voluntary? Hah – got you again.
Anyway, after several lawsuits against Moderna & the Feds (say 10 years from now), … the liberal SCOTUS will decide (by a 10-3 vote) that we all have a constitutional right to be told to take whatever medicine (medical, legal, economic, religious, political) the Feds tell us to.
