A million users here, 3 million clean energy users there, and pretty soon you eliminate most of the clean power in CA…and pretty soon you have millions of Californians in the dark paying more for dirtier juice to plug in your Tesla with.

I just scanned through the manifesto, and Payton Gendron (‘Payton S. Gendro’ in Psulish) strongly refers to himself as a ‘Green Nationalist’. Perhaps it’s related to ‘Green Libertarian’.
I’d probably describe him as an accelerationist, and that can come from any mix of hardcore belief systems. The point of this sort of terrorist attack is not so much to cause fear in a group, but to get the authorities to overreact, driving converts to the fold.
Most of the writing is about tactical gear so it’s really not a terribly long read if you skip the equipment talk. Perhaps we’ll be treated to Chuck Schumer prattling on about helmet and vest control.
It’s a terrible thing to see this sort of violence occur but I can’t say I’m surprised. The US is broken at a fundamental level and you were bound to see crazy things happen on the margin.

That was my thinking, so I spent a couple of minutes sifting through MSM stories. I took a shower afterward, so everything is fine.
