   Scenes.
   I have noticed calling a place a “hellhole” does not get you banned from polite society (community standards) as quickly as does the noun (or adjective) “shitho$&.” Trump ruint the apt description. Right after or before the 2020 elections, I heard a clip of Barrack Obama spending his normal 20 minutes non-answering a question posed to him. Always a great way to run out the clock, as was his MO. Anyway, he uttered the phrase, “But, I digress..” and it ruint it for me forever. I tried a couple of times since to end my ramblings off point with, “But I digress,” but I it rang like a brass bell…different. Ruint it for me.

   35,000 population would be a nice(r) smaller town fell. When my younger sis and her husband packed up and sold the empty nest old ranch house surrounded by condos and new developments, they moved to the Olympic Peninsula….with the rain forest in their back yard. From arid land to a friggin rain forest. They live 13 miles from the nearest convenient store, lol. I asked her how she has adjusted, as she said fine…pause…”fine but no place is perfect. It’s good. “
   What happened was a neighbor who owns the parcel adjoining their backyard cut down all the trees (forest) along the property line. It’s the neighbor’s right of course, but the backyard forest (my sis and her husband did not cut down any trees except a couple along the front as they became a hazard along their road. So, their back yard is still a forest, but now they can see their neighbors lights and a part of another road they never saw before. Go figure. ‘Newbie’ moves to the backyard of the Olympic Rain Forest and first thing he does is clear out the trees. There is/was a house entering Cascade Shores who did the same thing. A resident nearby asked a good question. “Why move to the forest if the first thing you do is get rid of the trees? Like 95% of the trees. It was known as “that house”, my the locals, lol.
   “It’s good. Fine. No place is perfect.”

    “When Masks Become A Religious Talisman”
    I have to laugh every time I think about masks.
    Talk about a relatively easy thing to measure, not hard to ramp up production of if you apply some real money (assuming there isn’t a hard-to-find precursor in their supply chain).
    It just shows how effing incompetent the government is. Really, you are on your own in this world. Just assume it from the get-go and no one will be disappointed.
    Two choices.
    1. Masks were never particularly useful. Government either continuously lied or simply can’t find it’s ass with both hands.
    2. Masks are useful. Ramp up production of those that are, give them away, really stamp down on fakes (them Chinese just love them their fakes, especially when it’s a safety issue). After two years, I’m not seeing evidence of this.
    Maybe they are still working on vision statements, diversity declarations, and action plans.

    Perhaps it is insulting, but you can see the confusion. Anyone who has posted (probably) a thousand or so anti-Trump, basically contentless posts is likely to either be a drunk or mentally ill.
    It’s the kind of thing you see quite a lot on Twitter. There’s always the angry single-topic people that post over and over saying basically the same thing.
    Maybe you could give us some insight on your condition. There’s no point in insulting a person who simply can’t help their behavior. Whether it’s OCD, substance abuse, or Tourette’s, we’re here for you man.

What I was lazily following earlier is: Hunter, in 2016, representing a Chinese client, bought out a cobalt mining company from a Arizona company whose mines are in Africa. Colbalt is kind of important for all those batteries needed to fundamentally transform…. Somehow, that got through the US government after review……in 2016. China is buying up all the strategic materials to own the whole enchilada of our green energy future. I will look into that later.
    On a more happy note, I did not see one Road Warrior RV while driving down Coyote Street Tuesday. Then I realized I was driving down E Broad, lol. No wonder I couldn’t think of a business along Coyote right above town. Didn’t see no RV park cause I wasn’t on Coyote St, lol.

    Inflation today is not what it was like back then at it’s peak with the Misery Index. Even the local banks were paying 10% for long term CDs. 14% on a home loan…with POINTS! That killed the Peanut Farmer…..along with scenes across the nationals TVs of the downed helicopters in the desert on the secret hostage rescue mission. A dark spot for sure.
