It just does not end –

I think the reason B/C can’t find any record of it is because they thought he meant a job as a lawyer.
They forgot Biden was a trucker. He wanted a job driving a logging truck!
Complete with the usual Biden habit of drifting off into space:
“He added: “And in the meantime there was a war going on. Anyway…”
Spanish American War? Who knows? And what has that got to do with the story he was making up?
    Get the hook!

“…as much as I blame Donald Trump after years of vandalism, the near-collapse of the government of the United States.”
The more we see the damage the Dems are causing our country, the more deranged the charges are against Trump.
    “near-collapse…”
I think TDS has and will do more damage to peoples’ brains than any flu possibly could.

Before the pony tail of ignorance shows up, even if gavin survives the mark of doom is on the socialist dems –
“The marked decline in support for President Joe Biden and his administration nationally and in key swing states indicates that the Democratic Party could endure a blowout defeat in the 2022 midterm elections,” Schoen wrote.
The political consultant outlined the dichotomy between Biden’s current position of weakness and the more stable positions that President Barack Obama and President Clinton experienced as they approached their first midterm elections:
Moreover, Biden is in a significantly weaker position now than both of his most recent Democratic predecessors — Bill Clinton and Barack Obama — at this point in their presidencies, which suggests that Democrats could suffer even more substantial losses in 2022 than the party did in 1994 and 2010.
According to poll numbers that were published on September 8, Biden’s approval rating has dipped to 39 percent which marks the lowest of his presidency to date. The poll showed that 49 percent of Americans disapprove of the job the President is doing
While nearly 86 percent of Democrat voters approved of Biden’s performance 2 weeks ago, 77 percent now approve of his work, marking a nine percent drop in only a week.

Lets not forget that newsome did it to himself –
As California voters descended upon their polling centers Tuesday to decide the fate of Governor Gavin Newsom, a restaurant critic noted that the recall election would not be possible without Newsom’s infamous French Laundry scandal from November of last year.
In an op-ed for the New York Times, California restaurant critic Tejal Rao that the images of Gavin Newsom dining maskless at the most luxurious, exclusive restaurant in the Golden State while ordering small businesses to comply with his crippling coronavirus restrictions kicked the recall into high gear.
Though she opposed the recall election, Lisa Bonos of the Washington Post agreed that Newsom’s French Laundry scandal fueled the recall effort in a way that was not previously possible.
“The recall effort was underway long before Newsom sat down to dinner here. But the meal provided red meat for Republicans opposed to his liberal policies and others who see the governor as elitist and out of touch,” noted Bonos.
During the fall of 2020, Gov. Gavin Newsom kept restaurants from serving food indoors and at full capacity, a rule that prompted cries of hypocrisy after photos leaked of him attending an in-person dinner at Napa’s luxurious French Laundry restaurant. Award-winning journalist Adam Housley — a previous Emmy, AP, and RTNDA recipient — claimed that the maskless dinner had 22 guests and ran up a bar bill of over $15k.
“Because Yountville is my hometown..and where the French Laundry is located…I thought I’d do some digging. Facts about the Newsom dinner. The bar bill was around 15-thousand. 22 people in attendance, not 12. No masks. All indoors. They got so loud, other patrons complained,” Housley tweeted.
“There was ‘zero effort’ to go outside and there was no social distancing of any type. I’m also told some of those there are now privately laughing at the controversy. Remember this is my little hometown. The walls speak,” he added.

It sure as hell looks like the reports of peaceful protests were overlooking something –
But Uptown appears frozen in time since that night in August.
Much of the main commercial corridor is still boarded up or crumbling, the brick walls of empty businesses streaked with soot. Inside the shells of buildings that burned, debris is slowly rotting, the smell of mold wafting onto the sidewalk.
“You barely see people here anymore,” said Darrayal Jenkins, 40, as he walked past several burned buildings in July. “It’s like a ghost town.”

The thing is, if you’re in the same corner as the ruling class you’re going to win most of the time. ’twas ever thus.
Now that the Democrats have distanced themselves from people who actually do useful things for a living there’s no guilt for their various mouthpieces…non-profit drones, school administrators, ‘activists’, bar musicians, surveillance advertising computer programmers. An economy built on borrowing from the Chinese, spying, speculative investments, and gubmint checks should be sustainable in perpetuity.
In any case, if it wasn’t Newsom in office, it would simply be his doppelganger. My take is to kick back and enjoy the show.

Here’s an interesting take, from The Bee (Babylon, not Sac):
SACRAMENTO, CA—The nation is cheering this morning after Gavin Newsom defeated a recall election, ensuring that the Democrat Newsom fans who live there will stay put.
“We were getting ready to escape the state if a black man had been elected governor,” said one local insane Communist Democrat Newsom fan while taking his morning poop on the sidewalk. “But now that our favorite progressive governor is safe, we know we can stay!”
Experts are warning that some Democrats may still leave the state in spite of having a progressive governor, in search of things like food, water, electricity, shelter, and jobs. Several states are preparing for the potential onslaught of California refugees by building tall border walls to keep escaping Democrats out.
Still, many believe that keeping Gavin Newsom as governor will result in many Democrats staying in California where they belong.
“This is sad news for California, but wonderful news for the rest of us!” said Texas Governor Greg Abbot. “Stay put in California, Libs! Say ‘hi’ to Newsom for me! Yee Haw!”

I agree 100%. Not bad for a novice like Elder throwing his hat into the ring. For awhile there we got to watch them sweat. Sweat big time. While the actual Recall petition started awhile back and was focused solely on Gavin Newsom, the Dems playbook was to make it all about Elder.
I don’t mind Punchy doing the Moon Dance. It was David vs Goliath from the get-go and Punch has had not much to celebrate with Biden’s polls moving in a direction more towards hell than heaven.
While not all votes are counted yet, I will make lemonade when life gives you lemons: Looks like Nevada County, CA has a higher percentage of voters voting Yes on Recall than the state’s results. Over 40%. 🙂
Yes, let Punchy do a jig. Can’t stop him anyway and the libertarian streak in me would not allow it. Kinda ironic that Elder is more Libertarian than Punchy.
The most probable outcome now is the schools will be shut down again.

    —————
As far as Punchy being a partisan hack….well, this is my take:
Imagine a younger Paul Emery, just a kid really, but a man. His weekend assignment at the time with the Guard (Reserves) was to spend all day off loading American flag draped caskets of our fallen brought back from Nam. Must have off-loaded hundreds if not thousands of soldiers, Airmen, Marines, and Sailors. That must of taken a emotional toll. Maybe not, but probably.
All those planes full of caskets and Punchy dutifully and respectfully welcomed each one home, back to the USA. Now he supports a President that purposefully by design left Americans behind in another hellhole of a foreign land.
A soldier’s prayer during the Korean War was, “God, please don’t let me die in this frozen rice paddy.” The soldier who wrote those words described what it was like during his death process. They found his words written on paper on his body. God, please don’t left me die in this hellhole. He wanted to die at home…America, his home.
I do applaud a younger Paul Emery for doing his small, yet important, part in bringing our fallen home. Not exactly a popular thing to do at the time when the returning vertical were spit on and reviled by his contemporaries on the Left. He did his part in ensuring no one left behind. We had a hand in bringing our boys “home”. Home to America, the home of the brave.
Turn the page and that same Paul Emery now vigorously supports the man who made the decision to leave Americans behind. What makes it worse is they are unarmed civilians. Fodder for the slaughter. Collateral Damage for political advantage. Left behind. Left behind. Left behind. I could never ever support Left Behind. Not in a thousand lifetimes.
Punchy a partisan hack? America was never great?

In your very brief critique of the Afghanistan situation you do not mention in any way the neglected responsibility of bringing our troops home from the last three Presidents who created the situation. In the last 20 years we lost thousands of lives and trillions of dollars occupying a country that really didn’t want us there and refused to defend themselves when we decided to leave. Are there unfortunate victims? You bet there are but the damage was already done due to Bush, Obama and Trump not Biden.
