[The genesis of our wildfires.  Here’s a topic everyone is afraid of discussing.  Almost all of our wildfires are manmade – they are started by indigents, crazies, and people with a political agenda.  The fires started by accidents and natural causes are well-known, few and far in between.  However, our politicians, liberal activists, and media of all hues treat western wildfires as if they were ‘acts of God’, and therefore their genesis need not be questioned, let alone examined, any further.  Given the number of annual wildfires, notice how rare is there any subsequent mention of arson investigations or what these may have discovered.  It seems that the ‘vulnerable underprivileged’ have a natural right to start fires and then be left alone.  And it is not a stretch to imagine the damage anti-American terrorists can do in a free country by simply setting wildfires with easily fabricated, time-delayed pyrotechnic devices.  But from what the public sees, our authorities neither suspect nor pursue such errant behavior – the fires just magically flare up and cause totally acceptable devastation.  gjr]

    With college football already in full swing and bringing in huge crowds, it appears that folks in some stadiums are not big fans of President Biden as chants of “F**k Joe Biden” are reportedly ringing out all across the country.

    Law Enforcement Today reported earlier this week that five terrorists released by Obama in exchange for deserter Bowe Bergdahl were among those taking place in the overthrow of the Afghan government, including at least one who took a leadership role. The so-called “Taliban five” played a key role in the plot.
    Despite being strongly advised not to do so, Biden continued Obama’s short-sighted plan, with the administration starting to facilitate the transfer or release of the 39 prisoners still housed at Guantanamo, freeing the first one last month.
    Biden has also signed off on the release of at least ten other terrorists, including some members of Osama bin Laden’s personal security force, as well as the operator of a safe house who was involved in the September 11 attacks on the United States.
    The New York Post reported:
    “Last month, the president freed his first prisoner—accused terrorist Abdul Latif Nasser—leaving the number of remaining detainees at 39. Ten others have been cleared for release, including some of Osama bin Laden’s bodyguards and 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s safehouse operator, according to Gitmo parole board documents.”
    Equally troublesome is the fact that the Taliban now has access to an enormous cache of American weapons, left behind by Afghanistan’s military when they fled the country. Wouldn’t it be a nightmare if one of these released Gitmo prisoners returned to Afghanistan and used these weapons against American interests?

    In the rush to pass police reforms following the killing of George Floyd, one state inadvertently may have made it more likely that lethal force is used in some circumstances. For thousands of police officers in Washington state, taser guns are now the only less-lethal weapon available to them.
    The Democrat-run legislature passed 14 police reform laws in the last session including one that bans the use of military equipment, defined in part as firearms and ammunition of .50 caliber or greater. After it was signed by Democratic Gov. Jay Inslee, several law enforcement agencies raised a red flag saying the law actually bans the shotguns that fire beanbag and foam-tipped rounds. Those less-lethal tools are sometimes used in hostage situations, during riots and occasionally to subdue a mentally ill suspect who poses a threat.
    Not willing to put officers in legal jeopardy, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) pulled more than 1,000 less-lethal weapons out of service. Many sheriff’s departments followed WSP, including two of the largest in King and Snohomish counties.
    Snohomish County Sheriff Adam Fortney says it was a difficult decision, because not having those tools raises the risk of lethal force.
    “If we don’t have that tool, at some point a human has to step in and do that,” said Fortney, “which makes it much, much more dangerous for both the SWAT officers who will be involved and the person we may be trying to take into custody.”

    The military and police are driving out the kind of people we need and will put in place diversity hires that just follow whatever orders and haven’t got a brain.
    Public respect for both institutions goes down the drain and our respect for the law goes with it.
