   Reports of a stressful work environment and staff being “thrown under the bus” in the office of the VP sound perfectly reasonable, if not also expected. Kackling Kamala is a demonstrated incompetent, and way in over her head both in her position and assignments. It would be surprising if this were not the situation in an office where the boss is confused, constantly embarrassed in the public forum, and therefore under tremendous stress to either cover up her chaotic operation, or somehow dig out from under the burdens that Bumblebrain has shifted to her shop.

    BIDEN BELLYACHES ABOUT ARIZONA VOTING CASE DESPITE NOT HAVING OPPOSED THE RESULT
    would call Biden and his DOJ sore losers, except that the administration didn’t lose this case. In a letter to the Supreme Court, the Biden Justice Department told the Justices it did not disagree with its prior conclusion, set forth in a brief by the Trump DOJ, that the two provisions of Arizona law at issue do not violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act.
    Strictly speaking, there is no inconsistency between the DOJ’s agreement that the Arizona provisions are lawful and Biden’s disappointment with the Court’s decision. The majority opinion didn’t just uphold Arizona law, it also discussed the circumstances under which Section 2 challenges to “time, place, manner” restrictions on voting will be upheld. Clearly, Team Biden is not on board with that discussion.
    But Biden didn’t just express disappointment with the majority’s reasoning. He agreed with Justice Kagan’s complaint in dissent that the Court’s decision upheld “a significant race-based disparity in voting opportunities.”
    If that’s what Team Biden believes, why did it tell the Court when the case was pending that the two provisions under challenge don’t violate the law? And if it was concerned about the standards under which the case would be decided, why didn’t it file a brief saying what the proper standard should be? The DOJ told the Court it disagreed with the analysis of the Trump DOJ’s brief, though not its bottom line, but did not present its own analysis.
    It’s odd enough that the supposedly apolitical Biden-Garland-Clarke Justice Department is taking pot shots at the Supreme Court in public statements about a voting rights case. Odder still is the fact that it’s making arguments it declined to make when it had the chance to make them to the Court.
    And it’s beyond odd that Biden now is publicly disagreeing with a result his administration told the Court it didn’t disagree with.

    This development comes after Walgreens announced it is closing stores because of the inability to keep people from continuously stealing from its stores.
    The ongoing thefts have been dubbed “organized retail theft,” but it appears more like looting when several people invade a store and grab as much merchandise as possible before fleeing.
    ABC7 reported Walgreens emailed the outlet and said the company told the San Francisco Board of Supervisors that theft in their San Francisco stores is four times more than the average in stores across the country. The company also spends 35 times more on hiring security personnel.
    Walgreens has closed 17 stores in the Bay Area in the past five years.
    The Public Policy Institute of California’s research shows San Francisco has the lowest arrest rate of any police department in California, according to the ABC7 report.

    ‘Taking Woke Education To Court’
    The so-called “Equity Ambassadors Program” allows students as young as sixth grade to report on their fellow students if they perceive a student’s speech to be offensive or racist.
    Initially open only to students who could check the right racial boxes, the program’s purported goal is to “amplify the student voice.” But one school leader was honest enough to admit its real purpose: to “identify microaggressions” among students – even those arising outside of school or on social media.
    This may sound well-intended, but the program will have the exact opposite effect.
    Rather than amplifying student voices, equity ambassadors will suppress them. Students will live in fear of their classmates, paranoid of offending their peers. If their comments are reported, students could face a ruined reputation or destroy their chances of attending college.
    In short, this program will teach our children nothing but to fear others. It is not education; it is a tool of indoctrination.
    This month, the Liberty Justice Center launched a new federal civil rights lawsuit on behalf of parents and students in Loudoun to stop this censorship.

    “Now I want to debunk… ‘chicken little’ arguments on how if we would close the coal plants, it would cause catastrophic effects for the energy supply on the island,” Ocasio-Cortez commented during the hearing. “AES could close tomorrow while keeping the lights on and preventing price increases on the island.”
    “Energy is the industry that powers every other industry,” Epstein countered. “The lower cost and more reliable energy is, the lower cost and more reliable everything is, and vice versa. I just want to stress that Puerto Rico’s energy situation is terrible, and one of the reasons I want to testify today is nobody is talking about that. They’re talking about ‘How do we maintain the status quo?’ The status quo is terrible in Puerto Rico.”
    “It definitely needs more low cost, reliable energy,” he continued. “And just as one more comment, it doesn’t seem like anyone here knows the actual effect.”
    Revealing his disappointment that Ocasio-Cortez would consider shutting down the coal plant, Epstein noted that only 2.5% of Puerto Rico’s energy comes from renewable sources.
    “This is so disappointing that we’re talking about this so unseriously,” he noted.
    Later in the hearing, Epstein added: “I don’t mean to pick on Rep. Ocasio-Cortez, but she tweeted that the infrastructure’s failures in Texas are quite literally what happens when you don’t pursue a Green New Deal. No — in fact, plenty of places around the world can deal with hot and cold when they have enough reliable, resilient electricity. Texas defunded reliable, resilient electricity, including winterization, to pay tens of billions of dollars for unreliable solar and wind that don’t work when you need them the most.”
    Epstein noted that Ocasio-Cortez’s energy policies “would make Puerto Rico into truly a consistently third-world country.”
