[The Chinese Communist Party is celebrating 100 years of perfecting the ‘Communist Man’ on mainland China.  Without even a close second, the CCP is the world’s most horrendous leading killer of its own citizens during peacetime.  Experts who do such body counts place the number of Chinese who have fallen under the hand of Mao Zedong alone at somewhere between 100M and 200M, and they are not yet done.  My conversations over the years with a number of native Chinese colleagues place the minimum killed at 120M.  It is important to know that these deaths took place over multi-year spans (e.g. during their Cultural Revolution) under the direction and with the full knowledge of the CCP leadership.  Communism, when a dominant form of governance and especially its Chinese version, is responsible for more purposed human death and misery than any other practiced form of such holocausts.  Stalin with a body count of 30M, Hitler’s 6M, Pol Pot’s 2M, and Vietnam’s 2M are pikers compared to what the CCP has been able to accomplish on their road to hone their draconian version of socialism.  None of this history is available to the devoted consumers of our lamestream media.  The attempt to make an omelet continues to be a grizzly business that, nevertheless, looks more and more attractive to our own socialists in their planned efforts to purge the country of ‘racists’, capitalists, and ‘white supremacists’. gjr]

    George 11:59 –How about historical record, common sense and rational reasoning…vs. anything that comes out of the mouth of Donald trump.. Are you blind? How many lies, misstatements of fact, exaggerations, stupid lawsuits, etc, etc. does it take before you see trump for what he is rather than what you wish him to be? Probably never will that happen as partisanship has permanently clouded your vision.

    Walt (and others): been saving this just for you. Odd, I heard about this last week from a LA source. He’s not an old fart like the one who shall not be mentioned, but probably in his low 30’s. His vocation is pesticides and chemical research for industry publications…with a green bent to his beliefs.
    He said with the chemicals used that were found on the site (applied to the ground) nothing, absolutely nothing, could grow there for the next 30 years. Not scorched earth, but dead earth. Not even microorganisms could grow in that toxic soup for decades to come.

    The California tax burden is roughly 38%, no doubt it’s hyper-tempting for all levels of government to dip their hands into what looks like an unlimited money stream, but it’s not really all that much. How can you make a business case for a large illegal grow if that’s the only tithe? Roughly similar to cigarette taxes I would think. No doubt there’s money save using public lands, illegal labor practices, etc., but even so.

    Brown said that the prison has consistently “run in the black” financially, has not had major problems in a state with otherwise infamous penitentiaries, and that there appears no other reason than spite or politics for Newsom to make such a decision.
