To describe what is going on with this election as hanky-panky is to diminish what appears as the first verifiable assault on the seminal institution that we use to maintain our democratic republic – the right and practice of franchised citizens to regularly impact the governance of their country.

Evidence is pouring in from all quarters about voter fraud, evidence that has been filed by poll workers, poll watchers, and witnesses who have provided sworn affidavits and statements – punishable as perjury if falsified – of a wide spectrum of illegal and criminal activities taking place at polling places and vote counting centers.  Enough of this has been happening to cause the DoJ to order all US attorneys across the land to begin investigating these allegations.

Last night on FN Tucker Carlson went through a litany of some of the evidence that the US attorneys will be looking at (here).  (Odd that FN has pulled this commentary from its site.)  You don’t have to be a fan of Carlson to note the factual content of his commentary, confirm it yourself, and compare it with what you’ve seen on the lamestream.  An important part of the data that is now a matter of record is the history of grossly inaccurate polling results with which the country has been blanketed in the weeks leading up to the election.

It turns out that the polls across the board were grossly wrong in favor of Joe Biden.  The more important impact of such erroneous polling was how they influenced the vote.  University of Michigan (here) and McGill University (here) have done studies of this which delineate how polls favoring this or lambasting that affect voter attitudes.  In America our polls were off, sometimes hundreds of percents and of opposite polarity, for electoral contests ranging from the president to the states’ down-ticket candidates and issues.  And for some odd reason, they were overwhelmingly in error toward the Left.  This was similar to the late-discovered ballots and mail-ins arriving at vote counting centers that defied voting demographics, voting history, and elementary statistics in their one-sidedness (more here and here).  And we haven’t yet come to the vote changing software (here) that people have alleged was used (and exposed unintentionally on CNN (here) where Trump’s vote count goes down the precise amount that Biden’s went up before the cutaway from the scene).

All the Dems and lamestream outlets are ostracizing the closer examination of this election's fraud, claiming that, no matter if true, none of what has been reported is enough to change the election's outcome.  That in itself may well be false because the actual validations and recounts have not been completed.  But the logic of the admonition itself is grossly faulty, for it assumes that all the fraud discovered to date is all that there is.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  (For the technically inclined, consider the individual allegations as a sequence of events in a minimally known process.  Then compute the probability that the process ended with its most recent event.  To help you do this Download TN2011-1_DiscreteEventR-Gprobs )

The greater impact of this on our institutions and ultimately on Americans’ trust in their country’s electoral processes is summarized by Victor Davis Hanson (here).  The bottom line is that we are done as a liberal democracy once the people no longer believe in elections or that their legal votes matter.

[11nov20 update] There is now a chorus of commentators on various media outlets (yes, even some liberal ones) who correctly opine about completing the investigations of the numerous reported election irregularities and alleged voter fraud around the country.  What our Left predictably pooh-poohs as rightwing sour grapes, and tells to “suck it up” and get on with it will not work in the country’s longer-term polity.  We have lost faith in the election process as it now stands.  There are at least half of us in America who want the reported incidents of malfeasance resolved, one way or the other, before trust is restored in our elections.  A democratic republic cannot continue to function under liberal governance once its elections are seen by a major fraction of its citizenry as corrupt and corruptible.  The natural progression of such a state of affairs is to a strong-arm autocracy.

The truth of the matter, not considered by today’s light thinkers, is that the Left will be equally put out again when they lose another major election.  I say ‘again’ because they were maximally put out for years after Hillary lost in 2016, and showed the country how they could disrupt, not only the duly elected administration, but also the rest of the federal government.  These progressives and their militant radicals not only rejected the legitimacy of the election, they also rejected the findings of the many subsequently launched investigations that failed to find their claimed faults – and they hold these beliefs to this day.  For them, the Republicans remain guilty as alleged.

So yes, we have to let Team Trump and the other involved federal and state level investigative agencies complete the process to either sanitize the recent election, or declare that it was not soiled in the first place.  At that time we’ll all have to suck it up, bid good-bye to Donald Trump, and accept Joe Biden as our new fearless leader (while continuing to keep a gimlet eye on the sumbich until his influence peddling family affairs are resolved AND he renounces the emerging communist wing of the Democratic Party).

[15nov20 update]  Now we have a fairly complete recounting of the provenance of Hammer/Scorecard and how it came to be applied to the current election.  The testimony is "according to whistleblower Dennis Montgomery, who was granted immunity by the DoJ and the FBI for exposing illegal US domestic surveillance."  (H/T to reader and more here)

In the category of “thank God these morons will be gone soon” — Eric Trump tweeted this morning that Minnesotans need to “get out and vote.” DUH!! the election was a week ago.
“The bottom line is that we are done as a liberal democracy once the people no longer believe in elections or that their legal votes matter.”– Only if you are stupid enough to believe all the bullshit lies and bogus conspiracy theories promulgated by trumlandia. All by design to do just that… cast doubt and promote trumpler’s cockamamy excuses for why he lost. Perhaps if you people could tell the difference between fact and fiction it would help because there would be no controversy. Over 20,000 lies and you still buy into it hook, line, and sinker…. #SAD

And another thing, Attorney General Barr did not, ” order all US attorneys across the land to begin investigating these allegations.”
What he did is authorize them to investigate allegations that are credible and could affect the outcome of the election. That means you have to come forward with clear and credible allegations, which to date, no one has done.
“While most allegations of purported election misconduct are of such a scale that they would not impact the outcome of an election and, thus, investigation can appropriately be deferred, that is not always the case,” Barr wrote. “Such inquiries and reviews may be conducted if there are clear and apparently-credible allegations of irregularities that, if true, could potentially impact the outcome of a federal election in an individual State.”

Payback is a bitch Scott. I heard enough of that here post 2016 so I feel just fine telling you to live with the outcome. There are literally zero allegations of voter fraud that would change the outcome of the election. The Trump team in now 14-0 in court as of today on these cases…

Evidence? Given all the evidence cited above and rejected by the Left. Just denying it, without giving a reason that it is not evidence, does not cancel out the evidence – somewhere an attempt at reason and logic must enter the picture. I wonder if any of them could give us a short dissertation on their definition of credible evidence.
And then if we recall, the Left has been attacking what they continue to call an illegitimate election followed by an illegitimate presidency for four years without a shred of evidence produced from uncounted federal investigations.

    Looks like fake accusations
Republican efforts to keep President Donald Trump in office despite losing the 2020 presidential race ran into another issue with reality on Tuesday.
“Erie, Pa. USPS whistleblower completely RECANTED his allegations of a supervisor tampering with mail-in ballots after being questioned by investigators, according to IG,” the House Oversight Committee tweeted Tuesday, referring to the Inspector General.
“Here are the facts: Richard Hopkins is a USPS employee in Erie, Pa. He signed a sworn affidavit with allegations of ballot tampering/fraud and went public through Project Veritas. USPS IG began investigating last week,” the committee explained. “USPS IG investigators informed Committee staff today that they interviewed Hopkins on Friday, but that Hopkins RECANTED HIS ALLEGATIONS yesterday and did not explain why he signed a false affidavit.”

To make sure that all understand, I don’t think any of the rightwingers here wanted Biden to win, neither did any of us want to have it proven that our national election was so fraudulent as to award offices to the losing candidates. Speaking for myself, if Biden won, I want it to be so demonstrated to one and all with no strings attached – I want him to win and serve legitimately. And I only bring up citations of fraud allegations that appear to me 1) plausible, 2) substantive, and 3) that can be refuted factually if false.

I agree with some of Steve’s points, albeit not quite in the same way as presented.
First, Trump needs to prove his allegations. That is a high burden and some of the blatant hanky-panky must be proven beyond reasonable explanations, which may be unprovable after the fact. For instance, the US Supreme Court’s ordered PA to separate and set aside mail in ballots received after Election Day is worthless because the election workers had already thrown the late ballots into the mix and others simply refuse to honor the Court’s order. Or, to me charitable, did not get the memo. Must have had cotton in their ears of something. Even voting irregularities that defy the laws of statistical probabilities (those 450,000 ballots counted after hours) that went 99% for Biden) must be proven as fraud. Even a dummie like me knows that in the Castro District or in the bluest of blue deepest inner city precinct, 7% would vote for Trump, minimum. Much has been written of Trump pealing off record amounts of black and Latino votes and doubled his LBGQQQQ support from the gay communities. 99% ballots for Biden?? Odd to the max. Darn near impossible, IMHO.
The second point Steve made is election shenanigans, though criminal, must be to the extent to alter the outcome of the race. The news of a manager falsely filling out and forging ballots for 137 non functional folks in a facility for Decapacitated Mental patients don’t cut it. She is going to prison, but did not change the outcome.
So, it’s on Trump to find just ONE smoking gun example and the whole narrative changes. Just one big One.
One would think with all the pre-election Voter Fraud hype going on (including “stealing the election”) in the last two months leading up to Nov. 3, that every elections office and worker would bend over backwards to be transparent about what they were doing behind closed doors. One would think that all election workers and departments and spokespersons would have done everything they could to AVOID like the plague even the appearance of shady dealings. But, as predicted, it was not to be.
    To be continued…

10,000 dead voters in Michigan in “Bring out ye dead” effort

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 12:45 PM PT – Tuesday, November 10, 2020
At least 10,000 deceased people were found to have voted in this year’s election in the state of Michigan.
According to state election data, about 9,500 people who voted this year were officially dead, while another 2,000 were 100-years-old or more. None of these voters were found to be alive through the Social Security Death Index.
Analysts from ‘Big Data Poll‘ said some of these people may have never existed, meaning Michigan Democrats possibly used phony ballots to boost Joe Biden in the election.
The 2020 Trump campaign is now pressing ahead with lawsuits to address voter fraud by Democrats.

The Trump PA lawsuit. Lawyers and us interested folks can read it for yourselves.
    PENNSYLVANIA VOTER FRAUD: THE LAWSUIT
[Last paragraph(s) are the Bottomline for me.]
“The problem, of course, is that election fraud is easy to perpetrate and difficult, if not impossible, to remedy. The Democrats deliberately set up lax mail-in vote protocols that they knew would enable large numbers of fraudulent votes–residents who vote twice, out of state residents who vote, non-citizens who vote, dead people who vote, and so on. They also cheated in a variety of other ways, like contacting Biden voters to correct illegal ballots. But once those ballots have been tabulated, there is generally no way to identify the fraudulent ones. So it is likely that the 2020 presidential election has been stolen successfully.”

“I am, right at this very moment, looking at an article written by Washington Post. It says that I fabricated the allegations of ballot tampering,” Hopkins continued. “I am here to say I did not recant my statements. That did not happen. That’s not what happened. And you will find out, tomorrow.”
“And I would like that The Washington Post recant their wonderful little article that they decided to throw out there,” the postal worker added.

If you remember Trump claimed that over 3 million votes that went to Hillary were fake so he set up a commission to seek proof and guess what? They found nothing.
Just like this time, they will find nothing except a couple of anecdotal cases that may lead to couple of hundred votes at best. Remember he has to FLIP several states to change the election and that would involve thousands upon thousands of votes which would require a very sophisticated and organized effort that would extend over the states required to flip enough votes to change the outcome. Fat chance on that.

“— — President Donald Trump on Thursday signed an executive order to form a task force that will review alleged voter fraud, improper voter registrations and “election integrity” in the federal election system — an issue that has long been a concern of the president, during the campaign and after.
Trump and the White House have reiterated the false assertion that millions of people illegally cast ballots in the 2016 presidential election — a claim Trump first made just weeks after the election without presenting evidence.

It happened to me a couple times very recently. Both links “lost in Cyberspace” dealt with election fraud. I tried three times and finally cut it down to just the naked link (from the Federalist) and that too got lost in space. I figured you can read the articles, just not share them. No, I did not bother to tell the good doc. Must be some internal communications with the web sites and FB/Google/Big Tech because it is happening less frequently since the days after the election..
Get this: I googled Fox News on election night and the first link was to Wa Compost election coverage, lol. So, I got my other device where FOX News (and Rebanes Rumminations are set as favorites/bookmarks) and sure enough when I hit Fox News, the Wa Post link was the first to appear, lol. Well, not funny, but highly unusual. Like, in many years, never happened once before. Hmmm. Maybe they are watching us. “Yo Bill, you don’t want to go to Fox, you want to go to The Washington Compost for breaking results”.
No thanks, Big Bro, I prefer toilet paper to Wa Compost, thank you very much. And I don’t even follow Fox much anymore as I get Tucker’s show every night on my FB video app after the show ends. Same with podcasts and other segments of programs. A bit late, but the substance does not change.
Exit question: Can I prove some odd hanky panky was going on with my devises? No. Guess that means a tree fell in the forest and nobody heard it…so did it fall?

Emery. Your side has done everything dirty and underhanded for the past four years to take down Trump, and you have the brass ones to think rigging the election like never before is something “they just would never stoop so low to do”.
So many reports of ballot dirty tricks from coast to coast, and you just want to brush those aside.
There was one cowgirl on the highway today that sure showed her support for Trump. A nice big American flag waving at 70 MPH.,
Pink “I love Trump” stickers, bumper to bumper, on a jacked up 4×4. (then again it could have been a flaming gay guy.. Plenty like Trump too)
What next from your Neo Marxist party? Ban the American flag from view? Just like your war on statues?

Well, Punch, if no fraud can be found, then I can accept that. Just gotta wait for the process to be completed and the States individually certify the results.
There is nothing nefarious or wrong with Trump challenging the results through the legal process. It is any candidate’s right, or any campaign’s rights. It is all part of the process. Standard fare, so no reason for Trump to concede at the moment.
Gore tried 4 legal challenges, two with the FL Supreme Court and two with SCOTUS. I won’t mention Hillary publicly telling Joey Fingers to not concede under any circumstances. In 2018, Stacy Abrams refused to concede (even though she ended up 35,000 votes short in Georgia) and was lavished with praise by your media…not my media. To this day, Abrams claims she is the rightful Governor of Georgia.
The courts so far have told Trump to prove it or get out of here. Alito is chomping at the bit to rehear the PA case since it was a 4-4 decision with Amy not seated yet. Time will tell. It’s part of the process and vote counting is only one part of the election process.
Off topic a bit, but the memo circulated a few days ago that all media references to Creepy Joe MUST refer to the frail old guy as “President Elect Biden”. Must obey the memo. Not me. I did not receive the memo. NPR did and obeys.
I am old fashioned, a dinosaur that Lefties are waiting for us dinosaurs to die off cause we are hindering progress. Progress, as in progressive. I have weird ideas. I still believe, against the tide, that it is the States that call the elections, not partisan news media outlets. Like, that is crazy to do things by the book. I must live in Ozzie and Harriet times. Media calls the elections? Who came up with that load of horse shit?

Opps. Link. And another Mea Culpa. I believe Stacy Abrams was 60,000 votes short, not 35,000. I am a lowly worm.

Punchy, that’s not Walt’s job. Not my job, not BT’s job.
10,000 dead voters has been alleged. Either it will be a credible source or it won’t… and it won’t be to criminal investigation standards. That takes time. More than the one month left to certify elections.
This is to political standards. What it would ta convince a bunch of Republican legislators that it stank to high heaven.

Quotes and a meme or two from Year Zero. Maybe 3 memes in these exciting times.
For the record: “All the data points to a few things. Trump’s policies are broadly popular. The nation just ensured a Republican Senate can block President Biden. The nation rewarded Republicans who would advance the President’s agenda down to the state level. The President himself was a flawed and undisciplined messenger for his message, and the nation rejected him. Likewise, the nation rejected the progressive agenda that many Democrats want Biden to pursue.” —Erick Erickson
The bottom line: “There are a thousand pitfalls he could have avoided if he weren’t so self-involved and undisciplined. No single one of them made the difference, but cumulatively they blighted his presidency and made him radioactive in the suburbs. No one should want to repeat them, and the party should never again get behind such a flawed personal figure. Nevertheless, Trump points to a viable GOP future even if he comes up short. He posted startling gains among Latino voters. This shows it’s possible to imagine a working-class-oriented Republican Party that isn’t a demographic dead end, but genuinely crosses racial lines, even if this potential is still inchoate.” —Rich Lowry
Observations: “Perhaps it was inevitable that Donald Trump’s re-election campaign would end as his Presidency began: with the President claiming victory and his frenzied antagonists denouncing him as a would-be fascist.” —The Wall Street Journal
Exactly: “After enduring four years of corporate media and congressional Democrats peddling lies, half-truths, and false narratives, Donald Trump voters will never believe a Joe Biden victory was lawfully achieved.” —Margot Cleveland
Tongue-in-cheek: “If there is anything we can learn from this phenomenal run of good luck for Biden, it’s that there is no meritocracy in politics. So, never give up on that unearned confidence, no matter how often history proves you wrong. Never let your risible knowledge of the world or decades of blunders stop you from chasing that dream. Just keep cynically repositioning yourself. Keep saying things emphatically — it doesn’t matter what. And with a lot of luck, you, too, might become president someday.” —David Harsanyi
Non compos mentis: “I think Joe Biden has a big mandate. A bigger mandate than John F. Kennedy when I was in school.” —House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Grand delusions: “The voters have spoken, and they have chosen @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris to be our next president and vice president. It’s a history-making ticket, a repudiation of Trump, and a new page for America. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen.” —Hillary Clinton
Epic blunder: “Now we take Georgia and then we change America.” —Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer getting out the Republican vote in the Peach State
Partisan hack: “I’m going to be spending my next couple of months doing everything that I can to extend help and offer support to the work of fantastic leaders that we just heard from, like Stacey Abrams, to make sure that we don’t have a Republican Senate majority, that we win these races in Georgia, that we secure a Democratic Senate majority, so that we don’t have to negotiate.” —Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Trump Derangement Syndrome, Part I: “[Trump voters] have revealed themselves for the racists that they are, the tribalists that they are. … It’s almost a level of fanaticism that I’ve only seen in cult groups and Middle East terrorist groups.” —MSNBC contributor Malcolm Nance to Bill Maher
TDS, Part II: “F—k Donald Tromp [sic] and every American citizen, celebrity, white woman, black man, ETC who supported him burnnnnnnnnnn.” —Janelle Monáe
TDS, Part III: “Kind of terribly sad how close this election was. After this year and especially this summer it should’ve been a landslide. I don’t get it. Truly.” —Demi Lovato
TDS, Part IV: “The closeness of this election is showing just how many decided racism is ‘not a big deal.’” —Wesley Snipes
TDS, Part V: “Let’s remember that tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division. We’ve got a lot of work to do to reach out to these folks in the years ahead and connect with them on what unites us.” —Michelle Obama
And last… “Very excited to hear about unity from Joe Biden, the leader of the same party in which major figures now call for complete political acquiescence on penalty of being placed on an enemies list.” —Ben Shapiro
