   Joe Biden’s former White House stenographer said the vice president’s public speaking ability has deteriorated significantly since leaving office to the point where he’s “not the same Joe Biden.”
   “It is a complete difference from what he was in 2017,” Mike McCormick, who worked as a White House stenographer for 15 years and with Biden from 2011 to 2017, told the Washington Free Beacon in an interview. “He’s lost a step and he doesn’t seem to have the same mental acuity as he did four years ago.”
   “He doesn’t have the energy, he doesn’t have the pace of his speaking,” McCormick said. “He’s a different guy.”
   McCormick—who often traveled with Biden and transcribed his speeches, public conversations with foreign leaders, and off-the-record media briefings for the official White House record—said the vice president had a talent for connecting with audiences when he was in office and almost always veered off script from his pre-written speeches.
   Biden’s physical stamina and cognitive health have come under scrutiny during the 2020 election, due to a series of speaking appearances in which the 77-year-old has appeared to lose his train of thought, struggled to finish a sentence, or forgotten where he is.

   re: the Atlantic. I reckon they could not wait for October for this bombshell October Surprise.
   When the news broke, those in-the-know folks’ knee jerk reaction was it was hatched and coming from the State Department. Others mentioned the Never Trump Republicans latest gasps from the swamp. My knee jerk reaction was it was highly implausible, evidenced by the way Trump has the highest respect for the military and all those unexpected calls from Trump himself to Gold Star Star Moms and Fathers…..99% of which goes unreported and without fanfare and in private.
   Heck, I remember in February when Trump cut short an appearance (and the press jumped on that as not caring about whatever group it was) to race to Dover to properly greet in a dignified respectful solemn matter the bodies of two soldiers killed in Afghanistan. He consoled the families off camera and each one in person.
   Thus I agree with Conrad Black’s quote: “It is impossible that any such statement was made by him. He is…”

    Hey Don down in South County. I went today to the SPD Sawshop in Nevada City. Folks told me their power was out. Odd, no outages here. Then I went to the Brunswick Safeway….first time since the Plague hit and the combat toilet paper hoarding. Store was half empty, parked right in front. Guess all the good folks in NC and parts of GV were all discombobulated with fear about the smoke coming from Plumas County and are jamming up the 911 phone lines asking about all the smoke and where is it coming from and freaking out. Too funny. No fires in Nevada County, but they don’t FEEL safe. Make scary feelings go away, lol.
    Best thing about my maiden trip to the land with no power was the places I went were empty. Perfect for the discriminating buy-n-bye shopper.
    Wonder what they got all queasy about. Those folks with 3 digit addresses are acquainted.to sitting in the dark for years now. What made today so different? They still haven’t a clue.
