I had the mother of my son ask me at the time why I thought Bush the First was unimpeachable, and I asked she say the above line. We both got a great laugh out of it.
Sometimes, besides being a plausible VP on paper (Quayle was a two term congressman and a two term Senator from Indiana), a VP doesn’t have to be a plausible President. I think he was the best VP George HW. could choose that would keep Democrats from impeaching him. He was also a white dude from Indiana, balancing a white guy who was somehow from both Texas and Maine, and the CIA.

a) the Obama Administration is going to throw Jim Comey under the bus as a man gone rouge.
b) the idea of using the Logan Act came from Joe Biden. Notes reveal from meeting “VP-Logan Act.”
c) where did a dufus like Sleepy Creepy Joe come up with the idea of using the Logan Act to thwart a member of an incoming administration???? Life imitates art.
A working theory:

A Dem Big Lie exposed, once again.
The Leftinistas have been saying that the rioting, looting, and burning the town down is in response to Trump moving G-Men to protect Federal property, such as the Mark Hatfield fed courthouse in Portland. Never mind Trump waited through 7 weeks of daily attacks on federal buildings before he moved security in to Portland to protect federal property and federal agents from the attacks. To pacify the Leftinistas and the Dem mayor and Gov, Portland agreed to protect Federal Property with its own LE.
Ok, all better now. Trump’s Brownshirts have left the building, no more instigating mob assaults on LE and nightly rampaging, right? Well, not quite. In the first two nights since the Brownshirts stood down, there have been escalated assaults on Federal property management in Portland, Ore. But, but, but..

Best time for Biden to gracefully step aside is right after the next mid-terms. Use any nice spin as an excuse, perhaps say his declining health prevents him from faithfully discharging the duties,of the office and feels compelled to selflessly set aside for the good of the country. That way the Dems will have theIr Bernie Sanders-AOC approved VP as POTUS for almost two years before the next general election. Not a bad plan. Didn’t work for Gerald Ford, but who knew a Dem Southern Governor was on the horizon in the form of a peanut farmer. A governor has much more administrative experience than a freshman Jr. Senator from the great state of Illinois. 🙂

This friend never mentioned “Barry Soetoro” and according to Reuters Fact Check, it is a false story based on a fake Columbias University Student ID card that had Obama’s picture and was identified as Barry Soetoro. It is an old story that has been going around for years. Snopes reported in 2012 that the ID card with the number shown in the image belonged to a student named Thomas Lugert. It’s all just more fake news from the right wing noise machine.
