The statue beheading is also a Dem vs Dem debate, City of CHAZ, etc. Best to stay out of their line of site when they are cannibalizing each other. Thanks for the advice, Mr. Fish.

CHAZ City is now called CHOP City (Capitol Hill Organized (or Occupied) Protest). Fun to see the Marxists battle it out with the Maoists. They sure love their guns. Makes them happy, happy, happy. And they love and demand valid ID for permission to enter and they have built walls too. Things will get dicey when they run out of tobacco, an item high on their need list. I would kill for a cigarette right now.

‘Hiring: Non-College Graduates ONLY‘
“If you’ve spent any time in the sort of institution that shaped the pair of privileged pyromaniacs, you know that the view of America from the quad is grim. At Princeton and NYU, at Harvard and Columbia and Brown, no subject is worth studying unless it somehow leads to the inevitable conclusion that the land of the free is nothing more than a cruel colonialist cabal of exploiters and profiteers, happily raping the people and the land. Steep in such fetid ideological waters for four or six or eight years, and you, too, may eye a cop car and immediately reach for a bottle of Bud Light and a gasoline-soaked rag.”…..
“Here, then, is a modest proposal: Stop hiring college grads.
Sure, not all alums end up as Playmobil Bobby Seales. And sure, plenty of protesters, including some college grads, managed to express their moral outrage without fire and brimstones. But committing to hiring non-college grads exclusively will solve all sorts of problems in one fell swoop.“…..
“If this year’s college-gate scandal wasn’t proof enough that higher education is a decadent and depraved playground for the rich and sanctimonious, Rahman and Mattis are another necessary reminder that it’s time to defund the deans, dismantle the dorms, and give up on the farce that is American higher education, that bastion of bitter mediocrities.
Until colleges once again teach critical thinking and champion unfettered research; until they commit themselves to genuine intellectual diversity; until they do away with the byzantine tenure system that allows malignant dogmatists to reshape the campus in their image, we’ve no need for these failing institutions. The multitudes who took to the streets this month to demand real change have a point, and there’s no better path to reform than for companies large and small to hire only those Americans who did not waste their time and money learning the art of resentment in college.“

Here’s a taste – “The results of the demonstrations following the deaths of black Americans at the hands of police, for all of their grief and passion, have left this 13% of America pretty much where it has always been: poor, sick, living in substandard housing and viewed by many whites as either pitiable or ominous. So much of what has afflicted this community can be ascribed to one burden that they bear disproportionately: poverty, and without the wherewithal to advance economically.”
Yep – every single black in America is sick, broke and have no way to better themselves.

@932 – Is he reacting to the cancel culture attack and having to work for baby Murdock who is needy for approval?
With at least 2 congressional takes in cali this and some others could snatch the gavel from botox Nancy!
Alek Skarlatos, the Army National Guard veteran who heroically stopped a terrorist from hijacking a train, is now running to flip a key district in Oregon that could help deliver the House to Republicans.
Skarlatos is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Oregon’s 4th district — a district that Hillary Clinton won by only a tenth of a percent over President Trump.
He is running to dislodge far-left incumbent Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR), who has held that seat for 33 years and is a backer of defunding the police and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Green New Deal.
Skarlatos said he decided to run after meeting a state senator and looking into why his district was the poorest in the state.
“The more I learned, the angrier I got,” he said on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Saturday, where he spoke with host Matthew Boyle, Breitbart News political editor, to discuss his run.
“You had a huge economic downturn [in southwest Oregon] since timber went away in the late 80s, early 90s, and it’s really all just been politically motivated. There’s been no real tangible reason for southwestern Oregon being the poorest Congressional district in the state,” he said.
“I felt like after 33 years in office, Peter DeFazio, if he was going to do anything for us, he would have done it by now. And I felt like he doesn’t represent the district anymore, and he’s incredibly far-left,” he added.
He said of DeFazio:
He co-founded the House Progressive Caucus with Bernie Sanders (I-VT), and he co-sponsored the Green New Deal with AOC. He votes with AOC 96 percent of the time, but this is…a very moderate or a toss-up district. It’s not a district where you would traditionally have an outright socialist. So I felt like he didn’t represent the district, and I could do a better job, and that’s really why I’m running.
It’s just because I think the people of southwestern Oregon have gotten a raw deal for far too long, and I think it’s time we turn that around.
In contrast to DeFazio, Skarlatos does not believe in cutting funding from the police.
“I don’t think that cutting funding or diverting funding away from police is going to solve this,” Skarlatos said
“If you defund the police or cut their training, you’re just going to have more bad cops. It’s not going to make the situation better,” he said.
Skarlatos also discussed how he used his training in the Army National Guard and knowledge of weapons to spring into action to stop a terrorist attack aboard a train in France with his two childhood friends.

Watch for this next:
““This year, the Seattle Police Department budget is a staggering $409 million – fully 27 percent of the city’s discretionary spending. I was the only councilmember last fall to vote against this appalling budget decision. My office has begun discussions with community activists, organizers, affordable housing developers, young Black and brown leaders, clergy, and others around cutting the police budget by at least 50 percent. ‘Boston Weighs Removing Replica Emancipation Memorial Of Lincoln, Freed Slave. Slaves Paid For The Original Memorial.’
On April 14, 1876, Frederick Douglass spoke at the unveiling of the memorial in Washington, D.C.
“The sentiment that brings us here to-day is one of the noblest that can stir and thrill the human heart,” Douglass said. “It has crowned and made glorious the high places of all civilized nations with the grandest and most enduring works of art, designed to illustrate the characters and perpetuate the memories of great public men. It is the sentiment which from year to year adorns with fragrant and beautiful flowers the graves of our loyal, brave, and patriotic soldiers who fell in defence of the Union and liberty. It is the sentiment of gratitude and appreciation, which often, in presence of many who hear me, has filled yonder heights of Arlington with the eloquence of eulogy and the sublime enthusiasm of poetry and song; a sentiment which can never die while the Republic lives.”
Douglass later added, “We, the colored people, newly emancipated and rejoicing in our blood-bought freedom, near the close of the first century in the life of this Republic, have now and here unveiled, set apart, and dedicated a monument of enduring granite and bronze, in every line, feature, and figure of which the men of this generation may read, and those of after-coming generations may read, something of the exalted character and great works of Abraham Lincoln, the first martyr President of the United States.””

Honestly, what I find most interesting is the unholy marriage between the Blue Mob and corporate America. Poisoning cops with bleach is only a statistic but firing people (and disbarring lawyers) for questioning this new orthodoxy is where the action really is. It can even happen in Idaho.

If one actually reads the article the polls Paul Emery cites, you can see the people polled like Black Lives Matter as well. And the underlying numbers are phony too. 25% R’s when it should be 35% and the pollster uses registered voters not likely voters. So once again Paul shot his emotions and not his reality.

My comments on the Union article saying we are all racists in our little county.
“More incendiary reporting on a non issue in Nevada County. This is why the press is not seen as relevant except as a mouthpiece for the democrats and the true racists out there running around looting and burning. America is a just and fair country but the slackers and the takers want more of your stuff for free. If they pursue this ridiculous activity to undermine the country it will not be pretty when the forces of law and justice meet them. Rather than write tripe like this complaint letter, why did the author not seek out those successful minorities in the area and the state? Just the whiners not the makers. I saw a great interview of a black man that started a business in Greenwich Village New York and he was a inspiration. If you keep giving these losers the public forum then at some point they will be coming to loot and burn your place down. I have never owned a slave. Non of my ancestors did either. Why don’t you interview someone that is not a racist? That would not fit the leftwing agenda of hate you are peddling here. America will outlast this attempt to remake it into Zimbabwe and that will prove our greatness.”..

Those of you with a memory might recall Todd predicting a Romney win because he followed the ” unsqued polls” polls that predicted Bomney over Obama by 8. WE all know what happened. Also he predicted the Repubs would sweep the House two years ago. Well, need I say more. It is well known Trump is freaking out over his pathetic polling.
Todds Guru on unsqued polls admits here he was wrong:
Dean Chambers, the man who garnered praise from the right and notoriety on the left for his “Unskewed Polling” site, admitted today that his method was flawed.
“Nate Silver was right, and I was wrong,” Chambers said in a phone interview.
Chambers’ method of “unskewing” polls involved re-weighting the sample to match what he believed the electorate would look like, in terms of party identification. He thought the electorate would lean more Republican when mainstream pollsters routinely found samples that leaned Democratic.

I suppose it’s of no use to point out to Paul that we conservatives do not tie our fortunes to the govt like the left does. The reasons for the poor to be poor didn’t change when Obama was pres and there is no reason to believe they will be any better off if Biden wins.
Paul, like most of the left don’t really give a shit about the people or the environment nearly as much as they simply hate Trump.
The current ‘race crises’ is a ginned up bunch of crap based on a bunch of lies. In the end, the poor will end up even worse off and race relations will be/are going backwards.

For the record I: “I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the best of what policing is.” —House Minority Whip Steve Scalise, who was in the crosshairs of a leftist would-be assassin in 2017
For the record II: “Those who have most consistently undermined the police and other elements of law enforcement are among those most shocked by the escalation of crime and violence.” —Thomas Sowell
Observations: “It seems to me that the greatest privilege on offer in our culture today is the privilege to be utterly immune from the law. This is the privilege exercised by many of the ‘protesters.’ And though some of them are white males, many are not. It is, then, a privilege that is not dispensed based on race, but on ideology. We might call it Leftist Privilege.” —Matt Walsh
Prescient: “So this week it’s Robert E. Lee… I wonder: Is it George Washington next week, and is it Thomas Jefferson the week after? You know, you really do have to ask yourself — where does it stop?” —Donald Trump, 2017
Upright: “People keep saying the biggest problem with yesterday’s [LGBT] ruling is the violation of separation of powers, or that it was legislating from the bench. Those are problems. But not the biggest. The biggest problem is that the Court has imposed a harmful gender ideology on the nation.” —Ryan T. Anderson
Re: The Left: “Allowing judges to rewrite the Civil Rights Act to add gender identity & sexual orientation as protected classes poses a grave threat to religious liberty. We’ve already witnessed courts use the redefinition of words as a battering ram to crush faith-based businesses and orgs.” —Tony Perkins
Nailed it: “There seems to be a widescale misapprehension about American unity: that it can be achieved by cramming down broad rules down from the top. That’s not how this works. We’re supposed to agree on broad principles of liberty, and then leave each other the hell alone.” —Ben Shapiro
Non sequitur: “Sleeping in a drive-thru must not end in death.” —former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (No, but resisting arrest, fighting with cops, taking one of there tasers, attempting to flee, turning and shooting at one of the cops — now that can get you killed.)
Total lack of self-awareness: “This is literally a life and death election. We felt like we can’t endure another four years of Trump; we have to do everything we can to get him out of office.” —acting Planned Parenthood president Alexis McGill Johnson endorsing Joe Biden
Non compos mentis: “There continues to be an epidemic of violence against black trans women.” —Pete Buttigieg
And last… “Whites have five times more privilege than blacks in the womb.” —Doug TenNapel

Having a major back and forth email debate with Union Editor Brian Hamilton. He thinks the BLM attack on Grass Valley last week was all local. Amazing. He said he interviewed two of them and they said they were all local. He missed the buses and cars on Hwy 49 pouring here from Sacramento and south. What a lazy ass reporter.

Todd writes about the Union editor Brian Hamilton:

What exactly was the “Attack” you are referring to and what damage ensued?
Were you opposed to the out of town people who protested with the locals in Selma Alabama?

Are we now comparing the “mostly peaceful protestors” to the Civil Rights Marches @ Selma? All the marchers nicely dressed, fighting for the right to sit down at restaurants and rent a hotel room? To use any drinking fountain? Rosa Parks stood up for her civil rights, but she did not burn the bus down. And they overcame. Fighting for the right of Fairness in housing and employment. This ain’t the Civil Rights
And a prof gets fired last week for reading MLK’s Letters from Jail to his class.

If anyone can show me evidence or data on systemic racism in LE, I sure would like to see it. It simply don’t exist….beyond anecdotal stories and hysteria.
Nothing has changed for/ in the Black Community since The Civil Rights Act of 68. Great Society. Bunch of broken promises. Half the males will drop out of high school, 25% will have criminal records. 70% born to fatherless homes. We don’t call them “the projects” anymore. They have bulldozed some of the old ones and built some newer projects. Deconstruct the family. Great idea.
BTW, within 10 years of IKE sending in the troops to escort that girl and some others into the public school in Little Rock, that same HS set the National Prep Record for the 440 relay.

We already knew they were a happy part of the red brigade –
NBC News is facing intense backlash for apparently influencing Google to punish two conservative news sites over what was deemed offensive coverage of the George Floyd protests.
In a report published Tuesday afternoon, NBC News claimed Google “banned” The Federalist and ZeroHedge from Google Ads for “pushing unsubstantiated claims” about the Black Lives Matter movement. Google later pushed back, claiming that The Federalist “was never demonetized,” and adding, “We worked with them to address issues on their site related to the comments section.”
“We have strict publisher policies that govern the content ads can run on and explicitly prohibit derogatory content that promotes hatred, intolerance, violence or discrimination based on race from monetizing,” a Google spokesperson initially told NBC News. NBC, however, did not link to the “derogatory content” from The Federalist or ZeroHedge.

Meanwhile in the real world 2 nuclear armed nations high level meeting to disengage their armies ended up in a blood bath with high ranking officers among the casualties –
Dozens of troops from India and China were reportedly killed in a dispute along a contested area of their shared border – the first bloody clash between the two countries in decades and an event with the potential to spark even more violence.
Chinese state media described the incident Monday night in the Galwan River valley where both countries have deployed troops in recent weeks as “the most serious clash between Chinese and Indian soldiers so far,” confirming casualties but offering no further details about them. Indian government sources speaking on the condition of anonymity told The Times of India that 20 Indian army personnel had died in the fighting.
American intelligence believes 35 Chinese troops died, including one senior officer, a source familiar with that assessment tells U.S. News. The incident took place during a meeting in the mountainous region between the two sides – both of which had agreed to disarm – to determine how the two militaries would safely withdraw their presences from the region.
The meeting grew tense and resulted in a physical confrontation between the troops. According to the assessment, all of the casualties were from the use of batons and knives and from falls from the steep topography, the source says.
According to the U.S. assessment, the Chinese government considers the casualties among their troops as a humiliation for its armed forces and has not confirmed the numbers for fear of emboldening other adversaries, the source says.
The sources who spoke with the Times said 43 Chinese troops died in the fighting.

CLASS STRUGGLE IN THE NEWS ROOM
“This piece in the New York Times is worth reading for sheer entertainment value. By Ben Smith, formerly of Buzzfeed, it is headlined “Newsrooms Are in Revolt. The Bosses Are in Their Country Houses.” With this sub-head: “Those who can afford it left the city, shining a spotlight on class divisions in the media.””

‘A missile full of swords was likely behind the death of two Al Qaeda commanders in Syria’
“The absence of an explosion and the pattern of damage to the roof and sides of the vehicle suggest that the drone didn’t employ a conventional precision-guided munition but the R9X variant of the AGM-114 Hellfire missile, a non-explosive weapon that can best be described as a 100-pound flying switchblade or an anvil covered in swords.”

Just to share a cut ‘n paste from James Howard Kunstler’s Monday Missive. (www.kunstler.com). Good summary of affairs.
“The perplexed and bamboozled include the entire leadership nucleus of the land, who seem starkly unable to act coherently in the tightening vortex of crisis. While Mr. Trump seems to dimly apprehend the urgent need for economic restructuring, he’s able to express it only in messages that sound like a 1961 Frigidaire commercial, with overtones of Marvel Comics superhero grandiosity. The president may understand that a country can’t consume stuff without producing stuff, but he doesn’t get that it’s too late to bring back all that activity at the scale we used to run it when he was a young man in the 1960s. His answer to the call of restructuring — what the Soviets called perestroika before they fell apart — is to pile on more debt, that is, borrow more from the future to pay for hamburgers today.
That dovetails neatly with the needs of the financial community, led by the hapless “Jay” Powell at the Federal Reserve, who is on a mission to destroy the US dollar in order to save the banking system and its auxiliaries in the stock markets. He literally doesn’t know what to do — except “print” more dollars to support share prices, a symbolic talisman of theoretical economics that has less and less to do with what people actually do on-the-ground in the hours when they’re not sleeping. It looks unlikely that the Fed will rescue either Wall Street or Main Street. The longer he props up the former at the expense of the latter, the more certain it is that it will provoke insurrection that goes well beyond the current hostilities.
Then there is the ever-seditious opposition to Mr. Trump, the Democratic Party and its Resistance allies. Race war is their latest “solution” to the woes of a disintegrating economy, which only adds social and cultural collapse to the darkening scene. Since much of the Resistance leadership is drawn from America’s intellectual class — the news media, the campus faculties, the honchos of bureaucracy, the politicized judiciary, and the performing monkeys of Hollywood — they will end up denouncing and eating each other in their zealous competition to bring down the hated Trump by inventing ever-fresh fantasies to justify destroying western civilization and all the horses it rode in on, namely: individual liberty, free inquiry in the pursuit of truth, the rule of and due process of law, and the consent of the governed.
Never in US history has there been a faction as dishonest as today’s Democratic Party or as habituated to the application of bad faith in political conflict. Their addiction to malicious hoaxes and engineered untruths knows no limits — and naturally so, since they are motivated primarily by the dream of dissolving all boundaries in policy, law, sexual relations, and personal conduct. They’ve been busy proving the past few weeks that they’re against the social contract as a basic proposition, exhorting for an end to law enforcement while inciting street violence, crimes against property, and murder.”
