   -Mentioned yesterday about an acquaintance that was saying an area was rationing gas as a not-so-subtle reminder to Shelter in Place. They inherited two houses full of furniture in S. Cal in the Santa Barbara area and were hauling the stuff to their new office out of state. I do not know where exactly they were rationing gas. In California. I did not reply or ask. I know they live in the San Bernardino mountains around the Big Bear area and maybe the gas rationing was happening there or closer to the S. Cal state line in the desert.     My, my. Everything is being turned on it’s head. Even in panic buying where shelves are emptying out, most of the “green aisles” are something, not fit for human consumption.
    If you are starving to death and the only thing left to eat is kale, here is a little helpful hint. If you add a bit of coconut oil (or any oil you have hardly) to the pan as you are cooking kale, the kale is much easier to scoop into the garbage.
    Yep, kale and ‘healthy’ food without refined sugar is another causality of the Great Hunkering Down of 2020.

    As something of a student of Soviet propaganda art, I’m seeing some well-known old graphics here. It’s as if some local Nazi group (I did see such a thing two decades ago at a gun show with a card table, a coupla guys with disreputable small beards they were tugging at) was using Der Stürmer artwork.
    The difference is of course (and this is an essential difference), that these people aren’t in the shadows. Our local Blue Mob has a proud militant arm.
