[Well, my proposal in the 12feb20 Scattershots for a new Dem candidate reader participation contest heading into the convention went over like a fart in church. It would have been fun to see how the perceived fortunes of Super-Tuesday's survivors changed over the next few months. Oh well, … sigh. gjr]

This snowflake sounds plenty like Dougy.
“Timothy Jenkins, who serves on the board of social justice organization Teaching for Change, criticized Massie for steering the hearing in what he believed was the wrong direction. To underscore his point, Jenkins claimed that “nobody has died” because they were deprived of the right to carry a gun.”
Which is pure LIB bullshit. You know,, not a smidgin of fact to back up the claim,
But plenty of facts and instances that prove otherwise.

How many women have been killed by ex lovers or husbands because they could not get a gun?
The attacks by others in “gun free” zones?
But when do Proggycrats ever need facts to back up their lame claims?

“The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds Trump earning 50% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Sanders’ 43%. Seven percent (7%) are undecided,” says the report.
Trump earns “84% of the Republican vote and leads 49% to 39% among voters not affiliated [Independents] with either major party.”
“Sanders captures 75% of Democrats, but nearly one-in-four Democratic voters (22%) opt for Trump instead,” Rasmussen adds.
The poll also found that in a match-up between the president and the avowed socialist, Bernie earned only 60 percent black support, compared to the 88 percent Hillary Clinton got in 2016.
That is a catastrophic number for Bernie, and other polls show Trump increasing his support among black Americans.
Among “other minority voters,” Trump leads Bernie 48 percent to 44 percent and bests the 78-year-old socialist 54 percent to 39 percent with white voters.

With control over it, there’s probably some clever things a Blue Mobster could do.
There’s real power in having social media near-monopolies that are politically weaponized. It’ll be interesting to keep an eye on twitter.

““All three states have multiple counties where voter registration rates exceed 90 percent, in some cases they exceed 100 percent. In the last election in 2018, the nationwide registration rate according to the U.S. Census Bureau was 66.9 percent. It looks like the 3 dictator amigos are having a falling out of the killing kind –
At least 29 Turkish soldiers have been killed in an air strike by Syrian “regime forces” in north-western Syria, a senior Turkish official has said.
More were hurt in Idlib province, said Rahmi Dogan, the governor of Turkey’s Hatay province. Other reports put the death toll higher.
Turkey is now retaliating against Syrian troops government targets.
Syrian forces supported by Russia are trying to retake Idlib from rebels who are backed by Turkish soldiers.
The Syrian authorities have so far made no public comments on the latest escalation in Idlib, the last Syrian province to remain in opposition hands.
The Turkish military began hitting back at the Syrian targets after President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held an urgent top-level security meeting in Ankara.
The Turkish leader wants the Syrian government forces to pull back from positions where Turkey has set up military observation posts and had earlier threatened to attack them if they did not halt their advance.
But Syria’s government and Russia have rejected his demand to pull back to ceasefire lines agreed in 2018. Russia has also accused Turkey of violating the 2018 ceasefire by backing rebels with artillery fire.
“All known” Syrian government targets were under fire by Turkish air and land support units, Turkey’s communications director Fahrettin Altun was quoted by state news agency Anadolu as saying. Turkey had decided to “respond in kind” to the attack, Mr Altun said.
President Erdogan has threatened to mount a major military operation against President Assad’s forces if they don’t pull back from frontline positions near Turkish troops in Idlib within the next two days.
Behind this conflict looms the potential of an even bigger confrontation. Turkey and Russia have backed different sides in Syria, but have come together to broker battlefield deals in the past few years.
That pragmatic rapprochement is now in doubt. Russian airpower has provided vital support for Syrian forces – if it is now being directed at Turkish military positions, that creates a huge new element of risk.

MUELLER’S TEAM TO BE CHARGED WITH CRIMES?
“Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the former chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, told Just the News that his team has been scouring recent documents released by the FBI, including witness reports known as 302s, and found glaring evidence that contradicts claims the Mueller team made to courts and Congress.”
“We’re now going through these 302s, and we’re going to be making criminal referrals on the Mueller dossier team, the people that put this Mueller report together,” Nunes said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast set to air on Tuesday.”

“Make sure your sins will find you out,” momma always said. Ah, they did nothing with Grassley’s criminal referral of Dr. Blasen- Ford either. The R’s had evidence of perjury, not brought up in the Kavanaugh’s hearing. The R’s played nice. She had quite the history not revealed when the R’s decided not to impugn her character, just her story’s gapping honking gaps. I know, you believed her. I believe something happened to her, but where and when nobody knows. They could never put Dr. Ford (she added Blasen before ‘Ford’ only before the hearings) and Brett together anywhere, any time.

Well, well, well. Lookie here, you bunch of odlids, you.
“If you drop in on any self-respecting college political science department—or a mainstream media newsroom, which thinks all the same things—it is axiomatic that the problem with the polarization of American politics today owes entirely to the radicalism of the Republican Party that began in the 1980s. You will see fancy charts and graphs supposedly “proving” this proposition empirically. I sit through a lot of academic seminars devoted to this proposition, which I usually blow up with a single unwelcome question: “Funny how Republicans supposedly became more ‘extreme’ just when Republicans started to win more elections. What does that say about American voters?” (What that question really means is, “What does that say about political scientists?” But I need to get out alive from these things. . .)
“So it is with some satisfaction that I caught up with an article in, of all places, the New York Times, that offers empirical evidence for something obvious to all conservatives, namely, that it is the the Democrats who have become increasingly extreme. This article tries to measure how the parties have moved ideologically over the last 20 years, and while the article tries very hard to slime Republicans for being well to the right of most European conservatives parties (good, I say), the chart their data produced shows the Democratic Party has lurched hard to the left during this period, while the Republican Party is pretty stable:”
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2020/02/the-democrats-bernie-dilemma-he-exposes-their-true-character.php
And…..I reject the preposterous proposition preferred by the political scientists that Bernie is just a natural populous reaction to the extreme right.

One day shutdown? No biggie. They will just out and stock up before March 2nd….or March 3rd if they forgot. :). It all balances out for the week ending. Might be a good day to go shopping. Smaller lines. Always a silver lining.

Here is a goody for “no voter fraud” Emery.
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/02/27/lawsuit-1-6k-dead-people-registered-to-vote-in-pittsburgh-pennsylvania/
“the lawsuit claims there are close t0 7,500 voter registrations that have been flagged as duplicates but that remain on the voter rolls. In one case, the lawsuit claims, an individual registered to vote up to seven times in one day while out of state.
Other individuals, the lawsuit claims, have registered to vote three to four times. Likewise, the lawsuit alleges that there are 1,523 registered voters who claim to be 100-years-old and over — nearly 50 of which have listed the 1800s as their birth years.”
“One registrant is stated as being born in ‘June 1800,’ the same year Thomas Jefferson won eight of Pennsylvania’s 15 Electoral College votes against President John Adams,” the lawsuit claims.
The lawsuit claims there are 1,178 registered voters who are missing dates of births in Allegheny County, about 193 registered voters who are missing dates of registration, and 35 registered voters with corrupted or out-of-state addresses.
Officials with the Public Interest Legal Foundation are looking to ensure that Allegheny County makes reasonable efforts to maintain their voter rolls, as required by the National Voter Registration Act of 1993.”

BillT 754pm – Mr Tozer, this belongs under the latest ‘Ruminations’.
Walt 835pm – Good catch again Mr Bronsen. Such solid evidence of voter fraud has been steadily rolling in for the last decades. However, for the ballot box stuffers (aka liberals) none of it makes no never mind. To them, attempting to clean out such voter rolls is simply ‘rightwing voter suppression’. That’s why we belong in different countries.

Uh oh. No credit card bought $8 soup at Three Forks for you today! Although quite a few of them could stand to miss a meal.
That gives me a good idea. The TDS folks could get coronavirus samples and infect themselves and their children. A flu epidemic isn’t good for the President and there’s that teensy chance that their sacrifice could help the Democrats carry the day.
Maybe a Day Without the Internet. Team Blue could stay at home and read a book. It not only would do them some good but it would give everyone a rest for the crazy ahead. I would suggest a copy of ‘Trump. That Evil Bastard’, available at Amazon.
