Just as fair as the basement prosecutions
Cross Bobby. Did the Trump defence get to call any witnesses? Shiffy and Naddless called all they liked.
Now don’t forget that any witnesses called by the defence had to be approved… Now how many were?
Yup,,real “fair”.
Now ask Emily for some of his memory meds.

Hundreds of constitutional scholars, none of which are you and most of you barely got out of high school, stated just the opposite as in cover-up, sham, kangaroo court, etc. How can you have a trial without evidence and testimony. You seem to not understand how it works, probably because you opted for woodshop instead of civics. The House is like a grand jury. They discover evidence and if that evidence is sufficient they file an indictment which is what the impeachment document is. THEN THERE IS A TRIAL WITH WITNESSES AND EVIDENCE. Your understanding of the process has been dictated to you by the trumplicans and you believe every word of it without question because you don’t want to believe that you have been conned by the trumpster… In a trial with witnesses the trumpler team could have called witnesses but they chose instead to ramrod it through in order to prevent more damaging information from coming out, which would have surely turned into another Watergate.. Drink some more trump-aide boys as you flounder to come up with more lame excuses. Those of you who can actually read ought to read ‘1984’ because you are living it.

California students would get a break from physical fitness tests, which include timed 1-mile runs, for three years under a proposal from Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Newsom argues the tests lead to body shaming and bullying of transgender and special education students, said H.D. Palmer, a spokesman for the governor’s Department of Finance.
The test assesses physical fitness, including strength, endurance and flexibility. Students must complete a variety of activities, including a one-mile run, push-ups and a modified pull-up. The test also determines students body mass index, or BMI.

Maybe if you could wipe all the saliva off your bib and all over whatever you were standing next to you when you came out with that bit of hysteria, you might point out what part of ‘1984’ bears a resemblance to what your President has done.
I believe China is much, much closer to ‘1984’ and it’s the Dems that cozy up to that bunch.

re 412pm – Here I wonder who skipped civics class. The Senate trial of an impeachment indictment by the House is NOT a trial anything like a criminal or civil trial. Professor Dershowitz attempted to make the clear to those who would listen. The Senators are not jurors but impaneled judges listening to the House present it (“overwhelming”) evidence to support the ‘guilty’ judgement they seek the judges to render.

Did another head just pop? Darn, I miss all the live action stuff. Live popping is best.
Oh, Bobbie Sue, the Constitution remains silent on how the Senate runs the trial. They can run it anyone they choose, including who gets to call witnesses. Still hanging on to that witness thing, eh? Remember you don’t need no crime or nuthin. Wasn’t it not YOU telling us that it isn’t a court of law…or was that the entire gang of Leftinistas lead by Schiffilis while we were complaining how the House was running things unfairly? One sided story only?
Well, you are right. It ain’t a court of law; it’s a political court. Make rules up as they go along and the full Senate did vote as a majority to not call witnesses. It’s how the Senate chooses to run things in a political venue. Simple majority. Simple majority passed the impeachment articles to another political venue. Calm down. Got 67 votes? Nobody, but nobody thought there would ever be a conviction. You act like you actually believed that noise, lol.
Remember, our Great White Founding Fathers in Washington, in their wisdom and deep knowledge of human passions, made it difficult for President to be convicted. Very high bar on purpose. Not a mistake. Designed that way.
So, you are certain that Bolton would change a bunch of minds? A boatload? You are THAT sure? The smoking gun proof is right there inside John Bolton and you found it!!! Now, if only you had a key to unlock the secrets found within. Tick-tock. Tomorrow is just a day away, bed wetter. You are the type that appears to give himself his own Golden Shower.

-the Venezuelan US recognized leader
-the Tuskegee Airman
– rural wi-fi
-the family deployment reunion
Then she done tore the manuscript in half (wasn’t easy) and threw it on the desk in full view. Roflmao. Not even sure if she did tear all of it half. She could not wait to get out of there. It was agony for her to sit and take it.
I did shed a few tears when Rush got the highest honor. A trailblazer. Changed and re-ignited talk radio and brought it back, when it’s popularity was slipping and drying up.
Trump put it out there. His vision. His vision for America and how to get there.
Highlights. the education part, Southern Border part, and the inalienable rights, more than one.

re scenes 858am – that seems to have become the overarching meta-policy of the progressive brave new world. If there are merit-based tests that don’t support the established politically correct narrative du jour, you simply do away with them so that you don’t have to deal with those pesky metrics they reveal. If you’ve wound up making generations of dumb kids who no longer qualify for college admissions, then do away with those telltale tests let them go to college. Now the same is happening with having promoted the arrival of overweight and out-of-shape hordes of youngsters (some of whom don’t even know which gender they are) – no problem, just eliminate physical fitness testing. Onward!

For the record: “Trump stands accused, in essence, of making substantive U.S. foreign policy decisions based on his desire to be reelected president. No president has ever been impeached for this.” —Paul Mirengoff
Pretty much: “I felt that the House managers really took our Constitution, threw it on the ground, drove a bus over it, then for good measure backed up over it again.” —Sen. Joni Ernst
Nailed it: “We saw Nancy Pelosi ripping up a speech just like Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi and others have been trying to rip apart America for the last three years.” —Rep. Mark Meadows
Pretty dumb, ain’t it? “The same Democrats who want to take over everyone’s healthcare and micromanage the entire economy couldn’t even organize their own traditional Iowa caucuses?” —Mitch McConnell
Friendly fire: “The Democrats can’t even get a three-car funeral organized or whatever you want to call it.” —MSNBC’s Chris Matthews on the Iowa debacle
Race bait: “The Iowa caucus is essentially the perfect example of systemic racism. Ninety-one percent of the voters in Iowa are white. The reason why you see a drop in turnout, I’m just speculating here, it could be perhaps that white children are not in the cages. So when you’re talking about the tangible pain that black and brown people are feeling, they feel a sense of urgency because their kids are being put in cages, right? So if you have 91% white electorate, that sense of urgency may not be reflected in the turnout numbers. I’m not saying that’s the reason for this. It could be a factor.” —MSNBC’s Zerlina Maxwell
Braying jenny: “The manifesto of mistruths presented in page after page of the address tonight should be a call to action for everyone who expects truth from the President and policies worthy of his office and the American people. The American people expect and deserve a President to have integrity and respect for the aspirations for their children.” —Nancy Pelosi in a statement following the State of the Union, which she tore in half at its conclusion
Braying jackass: “This was a state of the base speech, not a state of the union speech. The state of the Trump base is strong. The state of the union is deeply divided.” —CNN’s Jim Acosta
And last… “It really is remarkable how many reporters, not just pundits, have been praising Pelosi for several months as a strategic genius and the only thing she’s done is gotten the President’s approval rating to a record high.” —Erick Erickson

Interesting news on the urban outdoorsmen. Besides fire that’s probably the biggest danger to the area. I expect that the local governments have pro-homeless elected officials lashed to pro-law and order law enforcement, but don’t have any inside knowledge. The bigger conflict will always be between a large mass of disgruntled citizens vs. very vocal organized groups looking out for the campers.
If tree work uncovers encampments you are killing two birds with one stone. Serious brush removal can’t help but improve things generally.
An interesting site:

All the talk about how global warmingcooling has cranked up fire danger, especially Trump’s role in destroying the environment in the last couple of years after centuries of good stewardship, made me wonder what the real problems might be.
Check it out for any area you are interested in. The amount of additional foilage, especially in and around the towns, can be remarkable. The late 1960’s appears to be the dividing line for the places I’ve looked. Something different has happened since then.

Israel-Palestine talk. Time to accept reality.
‘Democrats, Experts, and Peace Plans’
“Heterodox approaches are automatically dismissed as “right wing” fantasies or, worse, manipulations. Within this position is the belief that only certified experts can solve problems while others are de facto buffoons: witness the insults leveled at the plan’s developer, Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner, by the media and its allied wing of late night comedians. But the bizarre corollary is the Democratic Party’s unshakeable faith in failed experts and their unsuccessful plans. Long-time diplomat Martin Indyk, for example, described the plan as “a farce from start to finish”—and his viewpoint is touted by Democrats as authoritative, despite his being another veteran of fruitless negotiations in both Democratic and Republican administrations. Failure has become the highest qualification for expert commentary and future diplomacy.
The American media echo chamber, which simply parrots talking points fed to it by the foreign policy blob, has created a closed cycle of received wisdom, authority, and interpretation. The New York Times, for example, described the plan as a cynical election ploy by two corrupt leaders responding to right wing religious constituents that “hardly seems to hold out any real hope for meaningful Palestinian sovereignty or real improvement in their people’s condition.”

Indeed. When I read that, I thought of a conversation Trump is rumored to say to the Joint Chiefs of staff or his top generals and his foreign policy advisors. To paraphrase, Trump asked why we are doing it this way? The wise advisors said because that’s the way we have done it for 17 years. Trump replied, “Did it ever occur to you that you may have been going it wrong for 17 years?

A funny thing to me is that the man who I think deserves it the most is the least likely to ever get that prize. When Putin rode in the Russian surfboard to the shore they’re at now, we all dodged a world-ending bullet. A remarkable thing really, given the opportunities for bonafide mayhem.
