defending trump is about as embarrassing as it can get. for example in the “Goombahs R Us- isn’t the purpose of elected office to make money?” category’ ..prior to the RNC winter meetings at trump’s Doral golf club this week, trump more than doubled the room rate going from $254 to $539 for the cheapest rooms. Records filed with the Federal Election Commission show the RNC already paid Doral $169,763 on Nov. 6 as a deposit for the meeting. The party previously spent $602,765 at Doral for its 2018 spring meeting, and $84,822 for a lunch fundraiser it held there in June 2019. Of course, the taxpayers will foot the bill for rooms and food for secret service etc. at eh higher rates.

The tale of two marches. One leaves trash behind for others to clean up their mess and the other cleans up after themselves. One is growing smaller while the other is holding its own just fine.

I would just like to hear who our sock puppets THINK will win the Dem nomination, not who they want to win. That would be a start. We who participated in the Dropout Derby have already chosen who we think will win the Dem nomination; split between Warren and Sleepy Joe.
Comma man is Biden, Robert Cross seems like a Bernie Bro like Ben Emery, and Paul is for anyone but Trump. Bernie and Warren are viewed as interchangeable, generally speaking, so it’s two for the price of one. Hedge your bets with the Socialists and capitalism haters. All of the major candidates are statists. They kinda are comfortable with Big Bro watching you. The Two Minutes of Hate is just icing on the cake.

In the ‘ignorance is bliss’ category of defense strategies — Lindsay Graham stated that “If he (trump) thought he was doing something wrong, he would probably shut up about it,” —
In other words, trumpler is innocent because he didn’t know any better. What about refuting the charges by allowing documents and testimony? Unless, of course, the facts can’t be refuted… then obstruct obstruct obstruct, which is exactly what is happening.
and for the record, I do think Warren has the best policy ideas but anyone but trump will do.

In our nation, it is up to the prosecution to prove a man guilty. If they cannot do so, the man is not guilty. No where, no way, and no how is the burden of proof put on the defendant to prove his innocence. That would be against the Constitution, our rights, the Amendments and definitely who we are not.
Burden of proof falls on Schiffilis and the Dems, not the accused.

Unless the IRS is involved. It’s funny when you think about how many courts there really are in a country. The rules and ruling bodies accrete over time.
Luckily, the Blue Mob Courts will likely have their act together in terms of how to determine matters. Tearing down Western Civilization is a weighty matter and even the smallest limb-from-limb rendering of an opponent requires consensus.
Taken from the Occupy movement hand signal wiki page:
…..
Up twinkles or simply twinkles are both hands raised with fingers pointing up and being wiggled. Twinkles indicates agreement with what is being said. This handsignal was borrowed from the Green Party, who borrowed it from the ASL word for applause.
Flat hands means that you are not sure, not for, or not against. One may be asked to clarify one’s position.
Down twinkles are arms raised but showing the back of both hands with fingers pointing down and wiggling. Down twinkles indicate disagreement with what is being said. One will be asked by the facilitator to clarify one’s objection. In Occupy Boston (possibly other sites), down twinkles go by the alternate name of “squid fingers”.[12]
Thumbs up, neutral, or thumbs down—Some locations use the thumbs signal, to show approval, neutrality, or disapproval similar to the Pollice verso of Roman gladiators.[10]
Direct response is both hands moving alternately front to back on each side of the head and directed at an individual. Direct response indicates that critical information was missing from something that was just said.
Clarifying question is a single hand formed in the shape of a C. Clarifying question means that someone has a question that needs to be answered before that person can vote on an issue.
Point of process is a triangle formed by two hands with the index fingers touching and the thumbs touching to form a triangle shape. Point of process means that the conversation has strayed from the original topic.
Wrap it up is both hands moved in a circular motion about each other. It means that the speaker should make his or her points and finish speaking.
Raise the roof is both hands with palms facing up being moved up and down above shoulder level. Raise the roof means to speak up.
Hard block is holding arms up and crossed. This indicates a firm opposition to the proposal, a break from the consensus that cannot be supported by this individual.

Bloomberg might do it. But, the question I posed, is not who you want to win, but who you think will win the Dem nomination. I still think Sleepy Joe will win because his numbers are on cruise control, hold steady poll in and poll out (National basis) and it’s the only one who has support of the black community by far (Obama’s coattails), can take the South, and across the board, more Dems are comfortable with a Biden instead of a Warren or Bernie.
The Dem leadership and other candidates are too far left and too far gone. The leadership is not in step with the “average” Dem. so, I think Joe will win the nomination, faults, age, warts and all. The gaffs are already built in, and he won’t need the youth vote as that is his biggest weakness.

” I still think Sleepy Joe will win because his numbers are on cruise control”
I just thought of that as a given. From the outside looking in, the movers ‘n shakers in the Democratic Party are just a modern Tammany Hall. Obama was an outlier who built a good organization. AOC & Co. can shriek all they like, but the old folks are in control.
The real competition is for the VP gig and the more desirable cabinet slots. Elizabeth Warren has to be careful not to tick off Biden (well, his handlers) too much in order to pick up the VP or SecState slot. Bernie would never get an offer so he can do as he likes. He’s more dangerous and needs squashing.
Absent the Trumphate, it’s all just business as usual…..for either party.

At the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin was asked by reporters about Thunberg’s call for countries to divest from fossil fuels, which he didn’t exactly take too seriously.
“Is she the chief economist? Who is she? I’m confused,” Mnuchin jokingly replied. “After she goes and studies economics in college, she can come back and explain that to us.”
That didn’t sit well with one particular CNN anchor.
“Why do these Trumpers think it is OK to go at a kid?” Cuomo tweeted, scolding the Trump administration.
Critics on social media quickly reminded Cuomo about the attacks Sandmann faced by his network, which led to a major settlement earlier this month.
“Didn’t your garbage network just settle a nine-figure lawsuit for defaming a Catholic child at a pro-life march?” The Federalist co-founder Sean Davis asked.
“Chris, your network literally just settled with a Covington High School kid after you smeared him,” political strategist Caleb Hull told the anchor.
“The name Nick [Sandmann] escape your mind? Or are @CNN employees ordered to pretend you didn’t pay him millions for smearing him a year ago for not supporting your left-wing politics?” radio host Derek Hunter reacted.

AN IMPORTANT FREE SPEECH VICTORY AGAINST THE SPLC

Political futures: “While civility is an imperative in a decent society, we can’t ignore that Trump’s coarseness has also helped reveal the liberal establishment’s incivility and disdain for anyone who refuses to adopt its cultural mores. I’m sorry, I have a hard time taking etiquette lessons from people who can’t raise any ire over the Virginia governor’s casual description of euthanizing infants but act as if every Trump tweet should trigger his removal from office through the 25th Amendment.” —David Harsanyi

But the most meaningful thing he can do is defund Planned Parenthood. … Trump could announce that he will not sign any spending bill that sends 500 million dollars to Planned Parenthood. Let Dems force a shutdown to protect their half a billion dollar gift to the abortion industry. Let them bring that argument to the public.” —Matt Walsh

WARREN’S JOE THE PLUMBER MOMENT
“My daughter is in school,” the man said, as captured in The Hill’s transcription of the exchange. “I saved all my money just to pay my student loans. Can I have my money back?”
“Of course not,” Warren responded.
“So you want to help those who don’t save any money and the ones that do the right thing get screwed?” he responded.
The Hill notes that the man cited his friend who makes more money than he does and, instead of paying off his loans, bought a car and went on expensive vacations.
“I saved my money,” the man said. “He made more than I did. I worked a double shift, worked extra … so you’re laughing at me.”
“No I’m not,” Warren responded.
“Yes that’s exactly what you’re doing,” the man said. “We did the right thing and we get screwed.”
That is a sentiment that is widely applicable to the Democrats’ policy proposals.

Once a clintonista always a clintonista –
ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos was caught on camera making a throat-slash gesture as the Disney-owned network cut away from President Trump lawyer Jay Sekulow taking questions from the press on Thursday during coverage of the Senate impeachment trial.
Stephanopoulos, a former President Clinton staffer, was presumably signaling to producers to scrap Sekulow’s thoughts on the impeachment trial. ABC aired a few minutes of Sekulow updating reporters on his plans. After explaining that Trump’s legal team will call witnesses who don’t think alleged actions are impeachable, the camera cut back to Stephanopoulos, who was making the throat-slash gesture.
Stephanopoulos then smirked, appearing to realize his gesture was caught on live television.

odd-law strikes out again.
That’s the whole point, moron – Stephie didn’t want the ‘wrong’ kind of news going out to the public. He got caught on camera signalling to cut off anything that might show the other side. His Democrat masters don’t want that!

You and Bessie are always good for a laugh!!!
I watched the clip and Seculow made his point…then…and this is were dimwits lose the thread…Seculow starts to take another question from someone else…
Since it is Stephie’s show and he directs it…it is obvious to all but TrumpFox lemmings that he wanted the clip to end so they could cut back to George…
Do I have to explain everything to you morons???

Can’t explain something to a rock – “Since it is Stephie’s show and he directs it…it is obvious to all but TrumpFox lemmings that he wanted the clip to end so they could cut back to George…”
Uh – that’s what I just told you, dude. Of course he wanted it to end – too much info of the ‘wrong’ kind is bad.
Of course he can run anything he wants – just please stop pretending ABC ‘news’ is anything different than Democrat Party talking points.

re odlaW 916am – Surely, the gentleman is joking. We invite him to Scattershots to address his leaders’ AB5 endorsements. Those are real worries for the whole country; compared to that, Giuliani is an irrelevant sideshow and a fervent hope for progressives that something substantive will develop there.
