PaulE 703pm – Trump probably broke the law to the same extent that did Obama and many other presidents before that. None of them rose to the level of impeachability, save Clinton and Nixon, I suppose. And even Clinton was not convicted, so the indictment didn’t stand.
Now I have not said anything new in the above statement; it’s a repetition of my position on Trump for some months now; most certainly since the Dems impeached him last December. I know you like laps around the barn, but for me this is beyond boring. Do you have anything new to add? We know you and yours believe Trump is guilty and should be removed from office. Can we just leave it there until something really new turns up?

Talk about tribalism.
Left-wing populist Michael Tracey says it is a “major political liability” for Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) to be “percieved” of as endorsing an open borders agenda in the 2020 election.
During an interview with SiriusXM Patriot’s Breitbart News Tonight, Tracey — a supporter of Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) — said Sanders should stick to his 2015 rhetoric in which he explicitly opposed hemispheric open borders as an effort by the billionaire class to drive down American wages.

John Corbin, former Mueller’s chief of staff. No FICA warrant of that kind without Corbin’s signature. Nevermind.

The Cult Of Pelosi Is A Deadly Thing ForDemocrat Future
“The cult of Pelosi isn’t just a “hot take” or a “be smart,” it’s a mindset through which Washington’s media elites interpret the world. It’s false, and the harsh light of reality easily shows as much. But reality is powerless to stop “the conventional wisdom” of the Beltway.
Overconfidence is a slow-working, terrible thing. It may lead its wearers to see an “invincible” “grand master” when there is none. And more, to see victory ahead when there is only defeat”

BT 8:57 – The ‘cult of Pelosi’ is just a sub-set of the major group.
It’s the ‘we’re gonna git ’em’ lefties. They’re going to get Big Tech, Wall Street, Trump, the NRA, Big Oil and anybody else they can think of whenever it’s convenient.
The actual recipients of their wrath usually end up being the middle class (especially the conservative middle class).
The Lefts’ idea of governance is always a negative. They WILL take your money, your rights, and your freedoms.
You have only to look at the major cities of this nation (and increasingly, California) to see what the Left has in store for you.

It isn’t like Nixon was even impeached. Looking back, I’d say that his resignation was a net negative for the country. Obviously, no successful office removals yet for anyone. Impeachment has been purely a political process thus far. Thing is, it probably wasn’t such a serious matter back in the pre-FDR (or pre-Lincoln by some reckonings) of a non-imperial Presidency.
The Emerianites could always go for the Rep. Jamie Raskin 25th Amendment concept, removal via a committee who determines mental incapacity. I mean, anyone who is interested in border security, avoids invasions of Syria, renegotiates trade treaties must be crazy, right?
Although a long Senate trial would be fun, I’m in favor of the shortest version possible. It gives all of this the attention it really deserves and lets the absolutely ridiculous Democratic candidates go back to bleating on stage. There’s even the possibility of a victory. A President Bernie would be a hilarious thing to watch right before the whole she-bang went tango uniform. We might even get Obama on the new three dollar bill.

Patrik Jordan Mathews, a former Canadian military reservist, was kicked out of the military after his ties to neo-Nazi hate group The Base were revealed
Authorities in Canada began searching for Mathews this past summer, when the trained explosives expert and combat engineer went missing in Manitoba
Two Americans – Brian Mark Lemley Jr, 33; and William Garfield Bilbrough, 19; were also charged by federal authorities
After Mathews illegally crossed the border into the US, Lemley and Bilbrough picked him up in Michigan and drove him to Maryland, according to the feds
The three men allegedly constructed an assault rifle and bought thousands of rounds of ammunition
Lemley previously served as a Cavalry Scout in the United States Army, according to the federal government
The three men were allegedly planning to attend a Monday pro-gun rally in Virginia, which is expected to draw thousands

Hate preacher Abu Abdul Bari had to be loaded onto a flatbed truck after he was nabbed in his Mosul bolthole by Iraqi security forces.
Cops said he was an ISIS member who issued fatwas leading to the execution of a number of scholars and clerics, as well as the bombing of a mosque.
Macer Gifford, a Brit who fought against the death cult in Syria, tweeted: “I’m delighted to say that the Islamic State’s very own Jabba the Hutt has been captured in Mosul.
“Responsible for the execution of men, women, and children. This animal raped and murdered.”
Referring to the obvious problems the authorities might face carrying out the country’s death penalty, he added: “Good luck hanging him Iraq.”

Of course, it’s the California way. It’s always best to push environmental issues onto someone else. Nuclear reactors in Arizona, valueluess plastic to China, generally hazardous waste all over Asia. Remember the proposed landfill in Winnemuca? I’d say that the Blue Mob coastal California wants to make the rest of the world it’s dump.
In an ideal California world, gasoline is made in Texas and Louisiana and shipped to LA via unicorn.
I guess it’s not so different than being pro vibrant diversity and then living in Nevada County. It’s always best to make a problem someone else’s problem.

I saw Trump on Fox recently bragging about the extent of his support among African Americans. Another Trump lie. In reality there’s not much to brag about. Here’s a couple of examples:
“According to a Washington Post/Ipsos poll conducted earlier this month, most African-Americans have a very low opinion of Obama’s successor in the White House: the poll found that eight out of ten blacks in the U.S. believe that President Trump is a racist.
Nine out of ten African-Americans, according to the poll, disapprove of Trump’s job performance — and 65% of African-Americans believe it is a “bad time” to be black in the United States.”
https://www.rawstory.com/2020/01/poll-reveals-the-damning-details-of-most-african-americans-views-of-trump/
And this:
“An overwhelming majority of black voters — 85 percent — said in a new Hill-HarrisX poll that they would choose any Democratic presidential candidate over President Trump.
The survey, which was released on Monday, found this sentiment to be particularly true among black voters along partisan lines.
Ninety-eight percent of black voters who identify as Democrat, and 72 percent of those who identify as independent said they would back whoever ultimately becomes the Democratic nominee over Trump. Just 12 percent of black voters who identify as Republican said the same.
Black voters are considered a key voting bloc with the Democratic Party, particularly in states like South Carolina where they make up a significant proportion of the electorate.”

Man, 12% of the black vote would be a big improvement. Dems cannot afford to ANY of the black vote, even 8%. 4% here, 9% there, and it all adds up. On the upswing. Who knows. 13-14% would made a big dent in the Clown Car, for sure.

Observations: “I’m so old I remember when the Democrats were shrieking for justice for the people of Iran, right up until the people of Iran began agreeing with Trump about their government’s corruption. Man, those were the days.” —Candace Owens
Upright: “One hundred United States Senators [have been] sworn in to serve in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump. Four of those senators must recuse themselves for their unparalleled political interest in seeing this president removed from office.” —Rep. Marsha Blackburn
Yep: “Nothing says seriousness and sobriety like handing out souvenirs. As though this were a happy bill-signing instead of the gravest process in our Constitution.” —Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell
Braying jenny: “I don’t know who’s the puppet, Trump or the attorney general.” —House Speaker Nancy Pelosi
Innocent until proven guilty? “It’s not a question of saying what proof. It says what allegations have been made and that has to be subjected to scrutiny as to how we go forward, but it should not be ignored, and the context of other events that have happened that would substantiate some of that.” —Nancy Pelosi
Grand delusions: “I would argue that not only is this an impeachment trial but that the very integrity of the United States Senate is on trial. What is before us are charges that are arguably the most serious charges that have ever been leveled against a president of the United States.” —Sen. Kamala Harris
Well-timed political theater: “The GAO found that it was illegal — illegal — for President Trump to withhold military assistance from Ukraine to pressure them to interfere in the 2020 elections. Both the revelations about Mr. Parnas and the GAO opinion strengthen our push for witnesses and documents in the trial. The GAO opinion especially makes clear that the documents we requested in our letter to Leader McConnell are even more needed now than when we requested it last month. Because President Trump, simply put, broke the law.” —Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer
Dezinformatsiya: “Adam Schiff, the lead House impeachment manager, the chairman of the Intelligence Committee, was very somber, very serious. He read these two articles of impeachment — abuse of power by the president of the United States, obstruction of Congress by the president of the United States — repeatedly saying that the president of the United States engaged in high crimes and misdemeanors, which the U.S. Constitution says is the reason for a president potentially to be impeached and, if convicted in the Senate, removed from office.” —CNN’s Wolf Blitzer
Almost last: “Fact: Adam Schiff was first elected to congress to replace a Republican House Impeachment Manager. He began his career campaigning against rabid partisanship. Now he is the lead manager in the only partisan impeachment in history.” —Charlie Kirk
And last: “Lavander spelled backwards is Red Navel.” —Tihs Rof Sniarb
